Terrible, awful company. Charged $550 for an estimate. Labor rate of approximately $500/hr. Tore up ceiling and wall, unprofessional, poor communications. They are now on my 'never use' list.

*****, Thank you for reaching out to us. We are a flat-rate priced company and we do not charge by the hour, we charge by the job. We provied you the price up front to assess what was causing the leak in your home and you signed off on it before we did any work. If you would still like to speak to someone, please feel free to give us a call and ask for our Customer Advocate.

After two no shows, the person they sent was not honest about the work that needed done and gave a ridiculously high estimate after telling me I was getting a “veteran discount” As soon as I said something about getting a 2nd quote he said he could probably give us a better deal. Huge red flag. I should have gotten the "better deal" to start with. Also when the 2nd plumber came out and inspected our sewer line they said it wasn't even something that I should be worried about. According to their camera and inspection things don't warrant needing to line the pipes at this time. I definitely would not recommend this company to anyone.

Ordinarily, I would handle troubleshooting and making simple HVAC repairs. We woke up to an intermittent furnace failure at the most inopportune time possible. It was the same day my wife was set to donate her kidney to her father who was in end-stage kidney failure. So, at 3 am I took to the internet to locate someone who could come out and make the repair while we were at *** ******* *****r for surgery. The appointment was easy to make, but that is the only positive thing I have to say. We were given options at $9K, 3K, and the bare necessities at $1,100. Not willing to spend $1,100 on an old 80% furnace I refused any repairs and was left with a $350 service call. After spending 5 min troubleshooting it was clearly apparent it was a bad flame sensor. A $40 OEM part!!! It would be obvious to even the most green technician that this was the issue. These people are hard selling predators and you should avoid them at all costs.

Not happy with Apex. A simple plastic toilet handle repair , took 15 minutes, cost $303! When asked why so much, I was told that is their flat rate. Two weeks later, the tank cracked at the handle site and flooded the bathroom. All they would do to rectify the situation was 25% off a new toilet. NOT how to keep customers! I’ve never been so disappointed, upset, disgusted with such poor customer care.

Terrible experience. Technician charged over $1300 for a smoke test because he could not find the main line outside of our rental property. Said the cost would go toward resolution of the problem (plugged pipes). My tenants were held hostage for 3 days waiting for the next step which was a camera to be put down the pipes. The camera person kept cancelling and ultimately did not show up. Tenant was told it would cost another $700 for the camera to be put down the toilet and they would reset the toilets. We gave up on Apex and called **** ****** who was there on time, cleared the plug, put a camera down and told us the toilets did NOT need reset. Total cost was less than $600. I have attempted to contact a Manager at Apex 3 times, and have gotten the run around each time. Save yourself a hassle and do not call Apex.

Bad Experience. Sales person held my project hostage for more money. In this basement bathroom project, I did the framing and electric work myself and hired Apex to do the plumbing. The on site plumbers did a good job and worked hard on my project. All was going well. They installed a floor pump, pipe and pex lines. The plumbing was roughed in and working well. The $15,000 job was basically done and just needed the toilet and fixtures installed. I estimate about 2 hours of work. I slowed my portion of the project way down by a few months - (I am taking care of a sick family member). I eventually finished drywall and rough electric. When I called Apex back - 6 months later to have two guys come and put in the last items, the sales person said he needed MORE money. John said: "It's been too long since our guys were there.... and he gave me a verbal $1000+ estimate to have his guys finish the job. This sales person controlled the scheduling person and was holding my job hostage and wanting another $1100. I wish I could pay the individual plumbers myself - they did great. The company and sales team are horrible with customer service. Steer Clear of Apex Plumbing Heating & Air.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I called Apex because I had low water pressure in my upstairs shower. I wanted my pipes flushed and maybe a new water heater. The first guy that came out said I needed to re-pipe my entire house and bore in a new line from the street. He showed me pictures of how bad galvanized pipes are etc etc and ultimately I felt pressured into agreeing. The outside line installation went great. Very professional and job done quick. My biggest complaint is that the salesman said this work would be reimbursed to me from the city and I have yet to see a dime of that money. The inside job was an absolute nightmare. The workers came in and put holes where they needed but didn't bother to cover anything. The holes they cut that they expected me to patch myself weren't even close to square (I called to estimate the repairs of the holes and had quotes of 2k and up). I should also mention that the worker showed me the galvanized pipes they cut away and told me there wasn't very much debris in them at all! When they had the lines hooked up they turned on my water and flushed sediment from my tank into all of my fixtures which destroyed them. 1000 dollars in fixtures later they agreed to come back and install them for me. This resulted in a leaky S pipe that I didnt notice until water was coming through my ceiling and sink handles secured so well that they spin 360 degrees. All of this time and money (VERY EXPENSIVE BTW) and my shower pressure was still terrible!! I did my own research after and took apart my shower to find that the pressure balance valve needed adjusting which I did myself! I called for some kind of compensation for the inferior work and they offered to cover half of the cost of the drywall patching. A 14K dollar job that was an awful experience and I still had to shell out extra cash for a job that I considered to be half done. STAY AWAY! If anyone wants to spend 14k to ultimately have a shower valve adjusted call me instead!

I have had a horrible experience with this company about 14 months ago my sewer line was backing up into my home, Apex was speedy in getting someone out ASAP to see what was going on. They were literally the only company that could come out within 48 hours. After finding out part of my line was compromised by roots I received two recommendations 1) Spray out the roots and that would be a temporary fix or 2) pay roughly 6K to get 15ft of my 75 ft sewer line dug up and replaced. I took option two because I did not want a temporary fix of sewege running up into my basement. During this process they left my fence down after leaving for the day, I have two dogs and was 2 weeks post shoulder surgery. When I called in they said they would send someone out in the morning to put the fence back up. I had to do it myself with a neighbor to be able to let my dogs out. I have a pipe sticking up about 2 feet out of the ground that I call multiple times to have someone come cut down after the dirt settled on my last attempt to have someone come out the lady on the phone told me it is not hard to cut down myself to just do it. Forward to today when I noticed the line was backing up again so I called. Someone was sent out in a timely manner, and I was told I was in the same boat at 14 months ago, BUT the recommendation this time was to dig up the entire line for 15K instead of a small portion. and it would have a 10 year warranty. My first questions was why was this not offered the first time a year ago. The reasoning from the supervisor I spoke with today was he has not control over what the previous person offered to me he can only assist me going forward. I work for a contraction company and what I hear with this statement is no standard quality of service, it is a coin flip if you are going to get an honorable person that is trying to help you.

Technician was very professional and polite. He did a good job and was very quick. However, I thought the repair was very expensive.
