2 hours late after the text saying they would arrive within *****. Then tried to charge $234 for a free estimate to fix my problem. - Which he fixed by relighting the pilot on my hot water tank in 2 seconds and then turned it back off when we started prices for new tanks. Other companies charge $100 for this service and dont promote it as free

I wished that I had read these reviews prior to scheduling an appointment to have my boiler looked at. The service tech was very nice and did a nice job of looking at the situation. He thought it was fixed when he attached a loose wire to the thermostat. The next day it was still not heating. As the day went on the boiler stopped running. I called and he came back out bringing along three other people, with one being a "senior" boiler repair technician. They stayed at my house until 7pm and came up with a diagnosis that the circuit board was bad, mind you this boiler is less than 5 years old. I asked about a warranty and was told it didn't have one. The tech presented me with a quote for about $1800 to replace it. I asked if they were sure. He then called his manager who proceeded to scream at him on the phone. I could clearly hear what he was saying. The manager, *****, said that I should buy a warranty from **** during the time that he was screaming at the tech, who had done nothing to deserve being screamed at in front of a customer. After they left I called another company to look at the boiler the next day. The other company called the boiler manufacturer and was told it was not the circuit board but instead a small part that cost a fraction of the price that **** wanted. The boiler company said that if they would have replaced the circuit board it still would not have worked. To add insult to injury Apex also tried to charge me for another service call. It is a completely unprofessional operation and I would never recommend them to anyone. I am still waiting on a call back from their customer care person.

Very poor experience. I believe the company was purposely trying to be deceitful throughout my experience with them. I was a paramount customer, **** took over paramount and I needed warranty work completed. My AC only a few years old stopped working. **** came and did the work and charged me $380. I repeatedly told them I had a 10 year parts and labor warranty. They told me I only had a parts warranty. After the service tech left, I inquired with customer service, not understanding the cost. They gave me the run around, ultimately telling me I was paying for labor and a mandatory Apex Guarantee. They told me they verified all my info and I did not have a labor warranty. I finally discovered I could research my warranty info myself and confirmed with the manufacturer I did indeed have a parts and labor warranty. After confronting Apex with this information, they issued a full refund- zero explanation. I didnt receive my refund and inquired on it and was given an invoice showing my money was refunded. I told them it was not received and asked for more details. Finally they said there was an error on their end trying to refund the money and they would send a refund check. Which did happen. It turned out okay- but only due to my diligence. Absolutely would not recommend!

Apex pros was to come to my home and disconnect my gas stove, they never showed up, when I called them they said the service pro waited 15 minutes which was not true, not only that but my suv was in the drive way and they did not knock on the door or use the door bell. Plus they never called to see if I or someone was home I had argue with them to make a 2nd appointment. This is my 2nd bad run in with apex pros and will never use them again and I will tell everyone to not use them why.

Apex Plumbing replaced a 40 gallon hot water heater in a closet. The plumber could not reinstall the bifold door so I said I would do it later. It appears the plumber broke the door's top pivot pin when he banged it against a header. I replaced the pivot pin and reinstalled the door. Now the door will not close because the new water heater controls stick out about 1-1/8" too far. I talked to the plumber who said he did everything right. He gave me the option of paying Apex an additional $2,000 to install a "skinny" water heater. I told him he should have measured before installing the water heater. He replied that he did his due diligence and then said goodbye and hung up.

I was scheduled to get an estimate for duct cleaning at my house. I was scheduled 3 times and the technician didn't even bother to call! I gave up a day at the zoo with my grandkids to wait for my last appointment and he didn't call!

Our Accounts Receivable Manager and Customer Advocate have both explained that the check you wrote back in 2022 did not clear, resulting in an outstanding balance for the work completed at your property. We also communicated that if you could provide proof from your bank that the check had cleared and we were paid, we would promptly remove the outstanding balance from your account. You provided two checks from two different jobs that cleared; however, there was no evidence to show that the check for the outstanding balance was among them. We have also supplied you with all three invoices you signed, and only one has an outstanding balance. We stand by our service, as you have not expressed any complaints about the work since our last visit. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the need to reach out to you due to the check issue. Thank you for your understanding, and have a great day!

Shady business practices. Scheduled a plumbing appointment and service rep asked if I would like a free AC inspection. Stupid me said sure and boy was that a mistake. Long story short the plumbing tech never showed up, but the HVAC techs did and their manager just happened to be in the area and stopped by as well. My HVAC system was running fine, they gave it a clean bill of health but insisted I add on several pieces of new equipment to the tune of $5k. I declined but they didn’t like taking no for an answer and insisted at the very least I add surge protection and a spring tune up. Just wanting them to hurry up and leave I agreed. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when I go to turn on my AC for the first time and guess what my outside unit doesn’t turn on. After calling a different contractor out they discovered that the Apex HVAC tech didn’t connect the transformer wire to the outside unit, making it impossible to communicate with the thermostat and inoperable. I have no doubt this was likely done on purpose as a ploy to schedule another appointment with Apex. Stay away if you value customer service and your money.

My kitchen faucet was leaking and making a mess on the floor. I contacted APEX to come out and install a new one I bought that morning. The service person was very profession. He shared the price to install my new $125 faucet.....was.....$425.00.....I could not believe it! In my opinion, that was absurd. Needless to say I didn't have them install it.
