As someone who has held a RedCard for over 10 years, I’ve made countless purchases at Target — from everyday essentials to home decor. Target has long been one of the retailers I relied on the most. However, after my experience with Target’s online customer service today, I’ve completely lost confidence in this company. The customer service I encountered was not only unprofessional but also surprisingly rude. The way I was treated made it clear that customer satisfaction is no longer a priority for Target. I’ve also been a customer of Walmart and Amazon, and by comparison, Target’s service is a complete disappointment. What frustrates me the most is that after so many years of loyalty and spending, I was met with indifference and poor attitude when I needed help. Good customer service should be the foundation of any reputable company — and this experience made me realize how far Target has fallen in that regard. Because of this, I will be significantly reducing my spending at Target. I’m extremely disappointed, and I hope the company starts taking feedback like this seriously — before more long-time customers choose to walk away.

After searching online for stores whose web designers weren't too stupid to recognize Oregon "Cash" EBT, I was glad that Target did so. I was ready to pay for a membership to cover grocery delivery costs. Then when I tried to buy beer, they didn't make it available for delivery. Someone over 60 years old is unaccustomed to any low-foreheads refusing to sell them beer. Apparently the policy manager has a stick so far up his backside we can see it when he yawns.

Disapoointed and feel cheated. March 2nd, ordered on target.com like usual. March 13th, 5 of the 8 items I ordered are in the box and 3 of the same thing I paid for are missing in the box. I call that day and they said they will "Investigate" and let me know in 5 to 7 days. Not sure why I have to wait on this, since I only paid them money and still 11 days later did not get all my stuff. After over 3 weeks, 6 phone calls (2 of which I got hung up on), and 2 hours on the phone. I was told that they will do nothing. So they took my $90 for these 3 missing items and said since the package was delivered they will do nothing. The box it came in would not have even fit the 3 missing items it "said it shipped". I thought Target would admit they made a mistake and make this right, but NOPE - they are keeping my $90 and are just "sorry - there is nothing they will do about this situation" Really do not know how I am a victim in this whole thing. I paid for something, did not get it, and reached out many times, but somehow ..... I am the one that has to bite the bullet - not the company that did not live up to sending me what I paid for. Man, anger and disappointment - BEWARE if buying online, if they don't send you something - they will not make it right. $90 down the drain

I purchased a car seat from target in April 2024 during their carseat trade in. I knew I would have to set this seat aside for quite a few months because my infant was not ready for it, but because it was a $400 seat, I wanted to get a good deal. Fast forward 10 months later...(I admit I never opened the carseat, because I assumed it was new) I opened the box, and inside is a carseat half the price of the one I (thought) I purchased. I brought the seat into Target, and they said they could not help and I needed to call corporate. I called corporate, and was asked to submit photos, and they would give me a resolution within 2 days. I had to call 2 days later, only to receive a generic email saying they cannot help because it is outside the return window. I tried again, and received the same response via chat. Target is failing to recognize their own faults in this situation, they should have checked that the correct item was being returned. I am utterly disgusted with Target's customer service. I spend over $1000 a month at Target, and they clearly do not value their customers. I was able to reach out to the carseat manufacturer, and with in 15 minutes of submitting photos I had a replacement seat being sent to me free of charge.

Target cancelled a delivery to me based on proven lies. Then, Customer Service would not allow me to talk, and spoke to me in a demeaning, accusatory manner. I ordered 10 items from Target, which has delivered to me for the past 6 years. The delivery never came, and no one contacted me. They claim they came to my door. I live in a concierge building, and when a delivery comes, the concierge calls me. They did NOT come. They claim they tried to reach me and I was "unavailable". I found out (the hard way), that Target subcontracts its deliveries to a company called Shipt. Evidently, although Target agreed Target has my correct phone number, they say apparently Shipt did not. They charged my card, for $75. When I called CS (Customer Service), Target insisted Shipt tried to reach me and deliver the order, even after I explained how my concierge, and Target, both had my correct number. I never knew about Shipt, nor how they got my number, right or wrong. The CS person said Target would not contact Shipt with my correct number. They said I must navigate that, myself. I replied that I had nothing to do with Shipt, and if Target hires them, it is Target’s responsibility give the correct delivery info to their subcontractor. The CS agent would not cooperate, and insisted I must track down Shipt. According to the Customer Service agent, Ella, everything was my fault, no apologies, no empathy. Just persistent insistence that I was wrong, that I was lying, and that it’s my responsibility to contact Shipt. So I will not use Target any more. Their CS department should be renamed, Customer Disservice! This complaint is a warning for others.

My Target app was fraudulently accessed last night. 2 orders were placed almost identical. The 1st order wasn't cancelled. I called your customer service 8 times to get a resolution. I have been told by police that packages are ordered and you must return them to get a credit. When you return the package, the scammer gets all your information. I was advised there's no supervisor or fraud department that can be reached. I was advised the 1st four times that Target customer service could help me. I later found that Target sells all your information. I deleted the app and closed my account.

Target stopped sending my bills in email. I missed a payment and they never contacted me. I had no Idea. they destroyed my credit score from 815 down to 599. I am canceling my red card and will never step in one of their stores again.

I went into target to return two items that I had purchased via Target online using my Visa credit card. I provided the associate with the receipts, order numbers and all pertinent requested information. The purchased items had been bought well within 30 days and were unworn with all tags attached. The associate, without explanation, tells me that I will received a credit on a gift card instead of my original form of payment. Before I could even ask for clarification she had scanned it and finished the transaction. As I stood there continuing to ask questions as to why she did this she simply laughed and said 'well it's irreversible now so just go find some more shopping goodies to buy!' I have spoken to several people in guest relations, gift card specialists and even had the case escalated to a superior in guest relations. All say there is nothing that can be done. It was deceptive and wrong.

I used to love Target as an alternative to greedy Walmart and Amazon. I'd praise them to everyone I knew saying the shipping was fast and free just like the competitors and they're return policy was super easy and I liked that they gave back to the community. After being a great customer for literally decades I had my first problem with a return in March 2025 and I'm done with them forever. The breakdown... my husband needed sweats. I bought two 3-packs online, one in size L and one in size XL knowing I would easily return the one that didn't fit. The L didn't fit so I started a return online. Printed off the invoice and sent hubby to our local store to return in person. Customer service wasn't able to "find it" in the system, they even got management involved, to no avail. Came home and contacted customer service. She apologized and added a shipping label to my account. We shipped it off. No refund after weeks. I went into my account. No 'return started' and no shipping label to track. I contacted them again. She asked for tracking. I said it's disappeared. Long story short, she said because it was a third party seller there's nothing she can do, and it needed to be returned in person. I asked her to check my previous conversation telling me to ship it back. She said it's out of her hands. I asked if they could as a courtesy just refund my $35. She said no. I feel for the folks who got this same runaround trying to return something for hundreds of dollars they'll never get back. Because this greedy corporation stole my $35, and have the returned product sitting on their shelves without refunding me, they are now out the thousands I would have spent in future sales. I don't understand it. I didn't buy "third party". I bought from target.com and had it shipped like I always do. I'll miss Target, but I can't allow them to treat me this way. I'm not only out $35, but all the time it took to drive there and back, to ups, and on calls about it.

Absolute garbage customer service. Garbage. Return and refund policies are comical. Waiting 3 weeks for creatine that was shipped and I was charged but it is still delayed with USPS so they’ll just keep my money while I wait for someone to find it? Perfect. Quality of products has steadily declined over the years. I remember thinking back in the day wow their buyers are the best and the prices are good. Now it’s just tacky, cheaply made stuff and close to department store prices in many cases. All this to say it wasn’t hard to be done with them when they showed their lack of respect for basic human dignity by rolling back DEI. I will never shop with them again online or in store but like I said it’s not a loss anyway at this point. May their karma arrive swiftly. Yuck all around.
