So I signed up for a target account and applied for the target Mastercard and to my excitement I was accepted and received my virtual card on my target wallet to use immediately before I get my physical card in the mail. Well I proceed to make my purchase a gift card for Mothers Day and I send the card to my email but then realize I made a typo with my email when signing up! Well I cancel my order thank goodness and then try to update my email to the correct one and come to find out they want go send a code to the email that I cant access! Like really its 2022 and I cant update my own email? Even when my cell phone number is hooked to the account and I still cant!? Does target not think people make typos when typing!? Target is the only company in the world you cant change your email without getting code sent to wrong email! Ive been on the phone and chat for 5 days and their customer service is useless even though they lied to me in the chat and said they could just update the email for me if I called them that was a lie!? So now my virtual Mastercard is on my account that I cant use to send any gift card to since its the wrong email and now they logged me out so I cant even log in because it wants to send code to email I dont have! Ive never been more pissed off at a company in my life then I am with target! I mean what good is customer service if you cant help customer literally trying to purchase item on your website using your card and you basically just said screw me like what company does that! Hello people make mistakes target wake up and do your job! I verified myself like 5 times and still cant get a simple email update really really sad and terrible terrible business practice on targets behalf! You literally pushed me to go to Walmart and I hate Walmart but at least they can update a email and actually want paying customers business unlike you target pushing me out the way all over a stupid typo! Thanks for showing you my true colors!
