      Valvoline Instant Oil Change 6023 FM3009, Schertz, TX 78154 Went here a year ago to get a transmission flush. Everything seemed fine until notice transmission leaks and finally a cooler hose popped off. Went to transmission mechanic and was informed how the flushes were done and that whoever did the flush installed the hose incorrect causing the problems. I reached out to store and the corporate customer service and was told i would be connected by a reginal manager .a few weeks later and still no call.... CASE # CS1797520

      False promises, Lack of communication & prioritization. I wrote a review on Google and Yelp a week ago and have received no follow up. The review exceeds the character length here. After trying a new auto shop (first week of Jan. 2025) for an oil change and tire rotation in hopes of saving money...It was communicated that my tires were not removed because upon inspection my lug nuts were overtorqued on my drivers side. I later found out that both my rear tires also had damaged lug nuts. I was told by the autoshop I went to that the studs would most likely break upon removal. The quote I was given was expensive so I went to the valvoline that had been rotating my tires in Mira Mesa Ca, for 2 years to ask if they would cover the damages I believe they caused. The result has been that nothing has been done. I was promised to hear from the Area Manager named Andrew two weeks ago. after calling customer care a week later, I was told i'd only have to wait 2 business days to get a response. I have yet to hear from him. I was told by the valvoline manager at Mira Mesa that they wanted to investigate the local auto shop I went to (for camera footage). They were able to retrieve footage 2 business days later but asked for more time to get the audio. I never heard anything after that. It honestly just feels like this company is dragging things out in hopes that I give up. Their lack of communication only makes them look unprofessional and guilty in my eyes. They have a copy of the invoice from the auto shop ( I provided) and they have camera footage. I don't think they need anything else. It just feels like they refuse to take accountability. This could be a serious saftey issue if a wheel comes off while i'm on the road. I'm beyond frustrated with this company

      I am the original owner of a 2019 Toyota 4Runner which I serviced multiple times at this Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Vista Ca. I went to another oil changer due to me being out of town. They were not able to service my vehicle because one of the skid plate bolts were cross threaded causing the welded nut to spin in the frame from the last service at Valvoline Instant Oil Changer in Vista. I went back to Valvoline Instant Oil Changer in Vista ( the last place that serviced my car). They said they did not damage the skid plate bolt and do not remove it to change the oil. (the skid plate bolts must be removed and skid plate drop down to access the oil filter) They instantly blamed the other oil changer that was not able to remove the skid plate due to the cross threaded bolt and the broke loose welded nut in the frame. Now I question, did they ever change my oil filter in the past several visits? Even though they always charged me for a new oil filter with my oil changes. I asked to speak to the Manager, the Service advisor said he was in the restroom. I waited for him, he did not come out of the restroom from hiding. They obviously lied about damaging my skid plate fasteners and or lied about changing the oil filter for the last 4 services done at this facility. Then I took my vehicle to have the damaged bolt & nut removed and replaced with a new bolt and new nut welded to the frame. This was a major inconvenience and an added cost and time spent to correct what Valvoline Instant oil Change damaged on my vehicle. I do not recommend doing business with such an untrustworthy group of people that will not admit fault when their lube techs damaged a customer's vehicle. Every one makes mistakes, but not owning up to them is unacceptable. That's a major red flag! I will forward this to Corporate Valvoline, the Better Business Bureau and Bureau of Automotive Repair. You lost a loyal customer and trust!

      Received an oil change on 131 2025 came home on the freeway to a low oil pressure light on the freeway my engine shutoff after checking my engine. There was not a drop of oil in my car so they either put a faulty filter in my car or they put the plug in my Oil tank .

      This is a very bad review. I was traveling thru Pueblo Co. and stopped at a local location. I went in to have the fuel filter serviced on my truck. They didn't have one in stock. Their customer care said they would give me credit for the new filter since I had to purchase it. I Paid full price for the service and filter they didn't have. Now the manager and customer care are refusing to pay anything towards the cost of the filter they didn't provide. I will never go to any other Valvoline business again. Doesn't matter an independent or corporate. I can't trust their customer service. I didn't ask for much just to at least honor the cost of their filter for over the counter pricing. They don't want talk to any one, You can't even speak to a person at the location you shopped at.

      Terrible customer service, I was in to get an oil change in early October. The oil change went as it has always until it was time to pay. I attempted to use a Groupon, this was not valid for the location. As I was trying to get it sorted out, I could verbally hear employees chatting about how I was rude and angry, they were a mere three feet from my car. I paid and left the facility, I contacted customer service over this, the resolved it by speaking to the employees. I was satisfied with that, however as I left the parking lot and made my way home, I was alerted to a scraping sound under my car, I pulled over when I could and discovered my skid plate was hanging from my vehicle, I was angry and upset at this situation as I try to keep my car in a rather good condition. I made a call to Valvoline customer service and was advised to bring my car back, the shop did not have anyone left to come out to my location to fix the problem. As I got off the phone, I proceeded to bring my car all the way back, I waited then they called me in. They had to duct tape my skid plate to my car so I could drive over the pit. They fixed it and that was it, no sorry or refund. Nothing. I contacted customer service once again, they reached out to the shop, it took forever for them to reach back out to me, only after multiple conversations did I hear back. I wanted a refund and compensation for my time, damage, miles, gas, etc. They were not willing to provide that. I have been going back and forth for months about this with them, no resolution. I will not be returning, I will head to one of their competitors.

      Went in for an oil change and my engine was blown within 6 days all because my oil cap wasn’t plugged properly. I was without my vehicle for over a month while it went to their neighborhood shop and had to rent from a family member and was told I could not get reimbursed since it wasn’t a third party rental company. I’m only 20 years old and the manager crapped me on everything from keeping me updated to attempting to make me sign a liability form. This place needs to be closed. So disappointed and out of so much money on their behalf and I am not the first. I am truly upset

      I had, until today, always liked Valvoline because of their convenience and friendliness. This morning I arrived as they were opening and a tech came out to my car to ask how they could help me. I said I needed an oil change and the guy said, "OK, just pull into Bay 2." I did. Usually, there is a tech in the bay to guide me in but today there wasn't. I thought, based on what he said, that I should just carefully pull in. I slowly drove in, got halfway, when this other tech ran up and shouted, "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" He then began very angrily shouting at me and berating me. He said, "You almost caused a big problem, here. You're supposed to wait for someone to guide you in. There's a big sign out front telling you to wait until someone guides you in!" I said, "Do you have to be so **** rude about it?" He just shook his head and repeated the same thing. I said, "Why didn't the guy tell me to wait then? Why wasn't anyone here to guide me in?" I may have made a mistake but this guy treated me like I was his employee that he thought he could berate. He then told me I'd have to now back out and come back in correctly. If my tires hadn't been low, I would have backed out, then left to go somewhere else. From now on, I WILL go somewhere else and I'm sure this company couldn't care less, even though I've been a customer for several years.

      Amazing service! I had been to this Valvoline once before several years ago in a different car. I came in because my van had a light saying "Service engine soon" and I thought it may be the transmission fluid. They explained the service engine soon light was set by the previous garage that changed my oil. They did check my oil as well as my transmission fluid which was low. They refilled the transmission fluid and checked all the other levels. They offered an oil change which I refused as I felt I didn't need it yet. For all of this they charged me exactly nothing! They called it in a courtesy check and I call it amazing service in this day and age, especially in San Francisco!

      Go ANYWHERE else. Went against my better judgement and brought car here, it was getting late and was the last open. To summarize- they emptied our oil but didn’t put any back in (didn’t know this at the time). We were told “good to go”. As soon as we get onto the road, IMMEDIATE problems. Car shut itself off, the damage was done. We were told we needed a NEW ENGINE. The “manager” admitted fault and agreed to pay invoice. Weeks of back and forth, to be told nevermind, we’re not paying it. BS! After reading other reviews here with similar stories, I feel even more disgusted. Don’t be fooled, “customer care” will NOT follow up with you and will definitely NOT make things right. Shame on these people. Avoid at all costs!
