1 starI went to your branch at sawmill road to change the engine oil for the Kia **** 2013, and that was in May, and about two weeks later, a very strong sound appeared in the car engine. After the examination, it was found that the engine, i.e. the motor of the car, was completely free of oil ... I checked with your branch to find out the reasons, as the employee told me that the oil had evaporated .... Of course it was unreasonable and I asked to see the cameras ... as it turned out that he had put the oil hose in The nozzle of the engine lasts only 5 seconds, and the strange thing is that the employee also did not look at the oil skewer to prove that the oil had been put in the engine.... That's why I checked with the mechanic and he said that the motor was damaged and he needed to be replaced... Therefore, I demand that the motor be repaired. My car, or I will unfortunately have to file a complaint with the court and pay all losses.....Review fromLidia P

1 starIf i could give zero stars i would. I went for an oil change and a fluid change. The total i was quotes was 207$. I ended up being charged 411$! While i was on the phone with the man he told me “we may have also given you the wrong oil.” Then he backtracked and was like never mind maybe not. Now i don't even know if i was given the proper oil or fluid in my car if they thought i was someone else. This is the only car i have and if it breaks down i wont be able to go to work or anywhere. But i have yet to receive a refund for the extra 204$ i was charged and i don't know if i even got the proper service. This was all in Millsboro, DEReview fromAdam S

1 starValvoline broke the oil pan bolt housing in a practically new vehicle with only 44,000 miles on it. Valvoline was the only company to service the vehicle's oil system/engine other than the dealership it was bought from new. I would not allow any Sub-standard repair of my property!
I wanted the vehicle towed to a reliable mechanic (The GM Dealership) They assured me it was taken care of and that it was OK to drive 4 miles.
While driving away the temporary plug Valvoline installed, it failed on the way to the GM service center 4 miles away. I was told by the Manager on duty that "it would hold" and "that I should take it directly to the GM service department." I did just that. They wanted me out of there asap, by whatever means necessary.
The temporary plug failed 500 yards away from The GM service center while in traffic. Another negative aspect of the situation was my treatment by your area manager to solve the problem which is a broken oil pan and engine damages. It was unacceptable for a professional business. The area manager didn't even see the damage first hand. He made a decision over the phone. Furthermore I was told to begin with that "all repairs would be covered" by Area Manager Derek ******* He told me "he was dealing with something that he didn't have time for this and to just send in the receipts."
Meaning I would have to PAY for the repairs first!
The vehicle was already taken to the GM service center where it died in a puddle of its own fluids in their service bay. Only to be called back 45 minutes later telling me "the cost for repair was too much and could have been done cheaper". There was no mentioning of possible engine damages due to running dry of oil due to their Temporary plug and overheating.
or of the cost of a rental car as for the repair would take days to complete. The oil plug was the only concern. He had cussed at the GM service manager for the quote he received. As if it were a personal expense of his.Review fromVicky R

1 starThis company changed my husband 196.00 for an oil change. Plus he had his own oil and they never returned the oil. This is outrageous. My husband didn't realize the amount till he returned home.Review fromJay R

1 starDO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. i was in for a simple oil change and it took the "techs" 45 minuets to reinstall the cars under panel. after asking several times if it was good they told me yes and i was on my way. a few hundred miles later the under panel was ripped off. i figured simple mistake they will just get me a new one. no after a 3 day investigation process where i had to leave work and come back to the lube hut they told me they were denying the claim. they told me they installed 7 of the 8 bolts and i must have hit something. i eneded up calling valvoline cooperate office only to find that this is a franchise store and they have no cooperate support. which means there decision is final. im now out $248 in repairs for my $30 oil change.Review fromjoshua g

1 starIf I could leave a 0 star review I would. My wife visited the *************************** location about two weeks ago for a routine oil change. Full disclosure we normally go to the dealer but were in a time crunch. She arrived home from the visit so I had assumed everything had gone according to plan. About three to four hours later I walked in to the garage and noticed a pool of oil under the vehicle ****** XC-60". I immediately check the oil and it was down a bit and instructed her to go back to Valvoline to have them check it out. When she arrived home she explained that there was some residue and on the lower portion of the vehicle and they apologized that they did not clean up the mess under the car. Fast forward to the next morning: when walking in to the garage all of the oil from the vehicle was on the garage floor. At this point we had to have the car towed to a reputable repair shop. The following day the tech and owner emailed me both pictures and also information regarding the job performed by Valvoline. The oil filter was cross threaded which caused the gasket to be cut. In addition they never installed the oil plug correctly and missed the crush washer. Both issues cased massive oil leakage which amounted to a full day of clean up in my garage and another 100 charge for oil clean up under the vehicle which needed to be steam cleaned and power washed. Another complete oil change of $150. Needless to say I am in to the oil change for roughly $400 total. We spoke to Valvoline directly and were asked to sit on hold for ***** minutes while the manager went over the tape from the original job. Annoying to be honest. They identified that they cross threaded the filter during the review and even noted the team should have caught the issue when we brought it back the second time. They also had the audacity to ask why we didn't bring it back for the third time.At this point we have not been reimbursed a single *****. Valvoline oil change experts!Review fromdavid s

1 starValvoline Instant Oil Change did not use proper technique. They did not use a compression washer. We noticed oil on garage floor. We took it to them and they said something needed to be tighten? Next day more oil on our garage floor. We took it to ****** The dealer recorded the inspection! And we sent it to Valvoline. The inspection demonstrated Valvoline did not secure nut properly. ***** performed a new oil change and it Cost us $77.00 We have submitted email receipts, videos and endless calls to get a refund. I went to the Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Merchants Drive during my lunch hour. When I pulled in I thought WOW! Only one car ahead of me! Then the fun began. I sat in my car with it running (because it is hot) for 40 minutes while two young fellows talked, went up and down the bay stairs, used a computer, etc., then finally one comes back to me and says....can we help you with something? Well, yeah. I came to get an oil change. I told him , I was there for an oil change. He told me he and the other young man were on staggered lunches and it would be a while because there were two cars in the bay I said, yeah....that one has been here 40 minutes, (that's just the time I was there) already. He informed me that basically was the way it was. I told him that if it was going to be a long time, a lunch period, he should have told me (and the other person in line) so we could decide if we wanted to or could wait. He shrugged and remained nonchalant. I said some choice things to him that I shouldn't have and drove away. What a rude, complacent young man. With gas almost $4.50 a gallon, no one wants to sit for 40 minutes (that was just up to the time he spoke to me), no telling how long I'd have been there if I'd agreed to wait. Shameful service. Of course, I can (and will) take my business elsewhere.Valvoline Instant Oil Change
