I went to get an oil change at the Oregon City location and there were 2 cars in front of me. That was totally okay I was willing to wait. 30 minutes go by, I pull up and they start having me do my light checks and blinker checks, etc. They tell me my rear top middle break light is out and ask me if I want them to repair the lightbulb, I say yes. A new guy comes up and he calls me sir, though I’m a woman and always have been and do present that way. Whatever fine okay. They then start doing the oil change yada yada yada. He then tells me my total and I’m like great the other guy said you could fix my break light. So they go to fix it they start taking all the pieces out and open my trunk and they’re back there for like 20 minutes before they come back and they’re like we can’t fix it. Okay why’d you tell me that you could then? Fine whatever, they close the trunk and a piece of the inside of my trunk is now hanging down on the inside of my car that wasn’t prior. I tell them, they go and push it back up, I pay and leave. I then go into my trunk after running some errands and a piece they had to take off is now broken and my trunk is filled with greasy finger and hand prints on the mat and also the piece they had to take off. They were not nice, they were not helpful, they didn’t know what they were doing, and they left the inside of my car actually dirty and broken with no clear intentions of trying to fix it or clean it. I won’t go back.

This complaint is for the 3501 W Walnut ST Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Rogers, Arkansas. On 3/31/25 I entered the service bay for an oil change. When asked what type of oil I wanted, I said Synthetic. The attendant pointed to an oil and said it was synthetic. I said OK. Come to find out that he only gave me a blended synthetic and it was for older cars with more than 75,000 miles. When I showed this to a friend, he told me that was the wrong oil for my car (as I only had 39,000 miles on the odometer and it was a blend not full synthetic). I went back the service center today and told them that they had put the wrong oil in my car. They said they wouldn't do anything about it. So be aware that this center does not provide good advice or customer service. As an 80-year-old women, I depend on my auto service centers to provide me with expert advice and serve. Apparently, this center provides sub-par expertise and service.

Horrible vehicle service as well as customer service. They over tightened the plug and cracked the oil pan so now I have a very significant oil leak. I went to the dealership before and after Valvoline’s “service” so I have documentation to prove that their staff did it and yet they continue to deny everything. I see multiple other reviews on many sites stating this exact same thing. I really wish I would have seen them before I took my car there!! I would recommend that everyone stay far away from Valvoline in Columbus Indiana unless you want a lot more vehicle problems than you started with.

Went to valvoline on hwy 58 in Chattanooga tn for a routine oil change on 3/12/25 at 9am by 5pm was car was ticking and making noises. Brought it back the same day and when I arrived they popped the hood and immediately started to put oil in the car and also a new filter and I asked why are you doing that if it was done already and they gave a BS ANSWER. Hayden the store manager told me to bring it back the next day of the noise keep happening. Well next day come and as I'm taking the kids to school the motor started making knocking noises to the point I couldn't drive anymore. I got the car towed to M****** and immediately called Hayden at valvoline..he stated its not his fault and they did everything correctly and refused to pay the diagnostic fee of $200. Well after the car had been diagnosed I was told my motor was locked up due to insufficient oil. Even with the auto shop staying that's the reason they still are refusing to fix the situation. Now I'm getting a lawyer involved because I've talk to the store manager the area manager and the issue is not being handled correctly because they are trying to cover there self and save their jobs. My car has never had a engine problem no lights on the dash has ever been on and no oil leaks and most certainly wasn't making a noise and motor knocking when I brought it in.

On 02/22/25 I brought my car into Valvoline at 3930 W State St Boise, Idaho, for an oil change. On my last visit, it was suggested that I get a manual transmission service performed, so at this visit on 02/22/25, I paid for the transmission service along with the oil change. 35 miles later as I was pulling into my parking spot at work, Monday morning 2/24/25 the transmission completely seized up due to the lack of oil. It was later found by a local mechanic, that the drain plug was not fully tightened as well as the crush washer not having been replaced on the transmission. While valvoline did take responsibility for replacing the transmission and covering the labor they left me to pay for a new clutch and flywheel as they said it was "normal wear and tear" when I talked to the mechanic he said it was not normal wear and tear and that it was damaged due to the transmission seizing. Valvoline lied to me telling me the mechanic said it was normal wear and tear so they wouldn't have to pay. In short, a $99.99 service ended up costing me $700 and just short of 2 weeks without a car.

On February 28, 2025, at 9:25 AM, my mother visited Valvoline Instant Oil Change for a routine oil change and tire rotation. She has been a loyal customer at this location, regularly receiving these services without issue. At the end of the service, the manager, Eric Sanchez, handed her a lug nut and a broken wheel stud from the rear passenger-side tire. Instead of apologizing, he simply advised her to get it repaired somewhere other than a dealership or major tire shop to avoid high costs. He assured her the remaining three lug nuts were secure and that she should be fine until the repair was completed. Concerned, my mother called me, and we returned to the location. When I confronted Mr. S******, he denied responsibility, stating that since all other lug nuts came off without issue, Valvoline was not at fault. I asked for his supervisor’s contact information, but he refused and told me to file a claim, which I did.On March 3, Valvoline’s customer service called me with Mr. S****** on the line. He repeated that because the other lug nuts were removed without issue, they would not cover the repair. I requested to escalate the matter to his manager, Michael, the area manager, and was told he would contact me. After a week with no response, I followed up with the claims department, requesting Michael contact me directly. However, I have yet to receive a response.Beyond the poor customer service, I am deeply concerned about the safety risk of my mother being sent away with a compromised wheel. Driving with only 3 lug nuts can cause uneven pressure, potentially leading to loosening, vibration, or even the wheel detaching while driving. It is unacceptable for a service provider to dismiss such a risk without taking responsibility. My mother went in for a routine service and left with an unexpected and costly repair she did not cause. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and refusal to address the damage make this experience extremely disappointing.

They broke my glove box on my car and promised to replace it. 5 months later and 15 returns to this location I was told by their managers they can only reimburse me $71 for the broken glove box. It is valued at $425.00. They tried to replace it with a scratched (looks like a dog chewed it) box that they bought on eBay. The value they came up with was $71 for the one they bought on eBay. With all my stopping by I was told twice that the part was ordered at Nissan and was on the way. LIED!!!!!! Also was told they were trying to find one. 5 months later I opened a complaint with their complaint dept and was told they stand by their lying managers and nothing more I can do. I'm now suing Valvoline and 2 managers at the Bradenton FL location!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

Valvoline has neglected my vehicle by never adding coolant in it for almost a year and telling me that they have been adding it. I got proof from a auto shop after diagnosing it that my coolant cap was corroded plus it was gunky inside that confirmed there was never anything added by Valvoline, which caused my water pump, gasket, serpentine belt, and major issues to my car.

In September 2024, I had my oil changed at this Valvoline location. Everything seemed fine at the time. However, in February 2025, while I was driving, my vehicle suddenly stalled, and the oil light came on. I had the car towed to a mechanic, who informed me that there was absolutely no oil in the engine. This was despite the fact that I was still 1,000 miles away from needing my next oil change. When I called to file a claim, I was told that Valvoline would not take responsibility, claiming that my vehicle could only go 3,000 miles on a single oil change. This is completely inaccurate, as my vehicle has always gone close to 5,000 miles on a single oil change without issue. I have owned this car for four years, and I’ve regularly used Valvoline for oil changes, including a location in Oklahoma for over two years, without any problems. The fact that there was no oil in my engine is simply unacceptable, especially considering I still had 1,000 miles to go before the next scheduled change. On top of that, the representative I spoke with was incredibly rude and dismissive when handling my claim. Her lack of professionalism only added to the frustration of an already infuriating situation. I am beyond upset that Valvoline is refusing to take responsibility for what seems to be a clear error on their part.

I am so mad, I need to expresses deep dissatisfaction with the oil change service received at a Valvoline location in Granite City, IL on February 24, 2025. Key issues included overfilled oil, which could lead to engine damage, and a broken oil filter cap, which was not communicated. The car experienced multiple error codes shortly after the service, raising concerns about potential mechanical issues. The oil filter was not replaced, as confirmed by a subsequent inspection. Additionally, the receipt falsely stated that washer fluid was added, and the oil light was not reset as claimed. This store has poor communication, negligence, and failure to complete the service properly. It was to be a normal oil change and I even provided my own oil to avoid further confusion but it was still not successful. This could've been a great catastrophe should I had not caught the problem immediately. I will never return to a Valvoline. Should be zero stars.
