What a horrible experience! Made the mistake of taking out a one-year membership because the price was so much less to have a technician come out to work on our home theater. An appointment was scheduled easily enough, but was cancelled by the technician an hour after he was supposed to arrive. He claimed we weren't available, but we were home all day. Two more appointments were scheduled and subsequently cancelled for no reason 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment. I decided to cancel the membership, but was told there was a process and cancellation wasn't guaranteed. I was told to sign into my account, but couldn't because I couldn't obtain the required verification code. After research, I finally located another telephone number and connected with someone who was able to cancel my membership. In short, I spent several days waiting for technicians who never showed and rescheduling appointments only to have them cancelled for no legitimate reason.HelloTech

Waiting all weekend for a ********** to install a wall mount for at TV that I purchased as a birthday present for someone. The first ********** never showed on Saturday. Hellotech assured her that the second ********** would arrive Sunday morning. He called and said he had plans and can come at 5:00 pm. An entire weekend waiting for a **********!HelloTech

I called Hellotech for assistance to mount 65 inch tv over a fireplace. The tech came out and did a fantastic job ..$129 was my cost for Hellotech and I tipped him $20!! . I started getting a monthly recurring charge of $20 out of my bank account for what? I didnt need the company anymore and I tried to cancel my subscription/membership so I called and the operator told me that if I was to cancel my membership I would owe them another $50 to complete the charge for the tv because I got a discount for joining!! Are you kidding me??!! THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM!! WHAT A RIPOFF!!HelloTech

I hired HelloTech to replace my old thermostats with new ****** learning thermostats to better control ***** at our house. The technician arrived late but was friendly during the install. The first thermostat was quickly installed, on the second one though he took more than 1.5 hours to install it (pretty different from what is being advertised). He eventually got it going. Later that night, we realised that the baseboards were heating up the house while the A/C (forced air) was blowing at full capacity as well. Our upstairs went up to 77 F despite us sleeping with the windows open (in *** where Fall has kicked in). I called first thing in the morning before 8AM. I was told this had the highest priority, would be fixed quickly. nothing happened, I called again, a different agent told me it was escalated after the usual (talk to my supervisor, one moment please; we are so sorry, we are going to escalate). Nothing happened. I called again end of day. Nothing happened despite another set of promises and professional apologies. The next day, I suddenly received an email (automatically generated) asking for my availabilities. I filled it out, nothing happened... the next day end of day I called ... and the agent basically said ... we don't know how to fix this, we don't have a solution (after keeping me hanging for several days). And as for money ... it was again escalated to another team that "will be in touch". I strongly recommend anyone here to NEVER use this service.HelloTech

I ordered a thermostat change. Pretty simple. I made it clear I wanted no membership. I saw within minutes I was signed up for "light membership." despite me saying no to any membership. Once corrected, they sent me a window of time to expect a tech with name and photo. The tech was 2 hours late, looked nothing like the photo and had a different name. Totlly sketchy. He not only started changeing the thermostat with the power on, he made a mess doing it. He started using ******* videos to figure out his errors. He blew the fuse and left to replace it at Autozone. When he returned he spent 2 more hours putting my old thermostat (newer Honeywell) back in place. The power to my thermostat was not working. He then said he had to go and to ask for a refund. Never saw him again. Now I not only am out $99 plus $9.99 service fees, but no A/C!! I chatted online with their service team that offered a credit. The credit never arrived. I spoke to them again a week later and they advised I call my bank. These are unprofessional people at best and theives at worst. Do NOT use them for anything is my warning.HelloTech

Amount in dispute $538.96 We hired HelloTech for the purpose of wall-mounting our TV (one in living room and one in my office) and for installation of grab bars in our 2 1/2 baths, as I am disabled. The date of the work was March 28th, 2024. The tech's name was ******. We did not sign a contract but took out a membership with HelloTech. On June 24th, 2024, the TV and mount in the living room just fell off the wall and the wall was damaged and the TV was destroyed. On June 27th a second tech from HelloTech (*******) came to inspect the damages. HelloTech then issued a damage claim #*******. ******* wanted to do the right thing (repair everything) but HelloTech HQ would not let him. Supposedly the claim was to be paid in "7 to 10 days". We were not paid until August 19th, 2024 ($538.96). And this is when the real problem started. In trying to received the monies from ******, I mistakenly and quite accidentally REFUNDED to monies back to HelloTech on that very same day. Seeing my mistake, I immediately sent HelloTech (via ******) a request to resend the monies back to my ****** account that same day. They would not and they wouldn't respond to my inquiries about it. Through many emails and phone calls, they still have not resent my money back to my ****** account. And that is all I'm asking. I gave them until close of business today, 09/13/2024 to resend the money or I would file a complaint with you. They ignored me, yet again.Complaint description Briefly state what you would consider a reasonable resolution from the company Simply resend the $538.96 to my ****** account that was mistakenly refunded to HelloTech. Here it is September 13th and they still have not resent our money!HelloTech

I purchased an 85" TV through ******* on line along with add ons including an extended warranty and installation service. I was careful to read what the install entailed. I already have a 75" TV in the location of install so its a simple 15 min switch. I checked in advance and the bracket I have is capable of the new TV size and weight. For several days it became impossible to get an installer from Hellotech as they outsource installers who kept cancelling. This happened 3 times. When they finally did the installer couldnt make the time between 9 and 11 and wanted photos of the bracket and TV location. Next, he called me and attempted to tell me the bracket is "Suspect" and wanted to add on costs for a new bracket and removing the TV from the wall. Then money for a second ****** and the new bracket etc. Add on after add on. When I expressed concern about all the cancellations he told me Hellotech trys to get low bid installers first but he is highly skilled. Ha! Right!!!! He even had the wrong appointment date. The sad thing is, normally I would easily slap it up on the bracket myself but I had cervical spinal surgury and just cant do it now. So, I had already paid in advance $84.23 that ******* said was the installation cost. To add insult to injury It was difficult to cancel the service as I had to contact by phone both ******* and then Hellotech. Do not use this service. I waisted over 1.5 hours of time and experienced serious frustration with unprofessional and poor business practices. Goodbyetech!!!!!HelloTech

However, there are a few things we would like to clear up. Firstly, TV dismounting, is a service we offer, so the add on was correct. Additionally, the TV that you stated you had when self-booked the order was a 85 TV, not 75, which you stated during the booking you can not help lift. Given that you recently had a spinal surgery that makes sense and we are glad you did not attempt to help. However, when it comes to the larger size TVs it is recommended that two people lift the TV to prevent injury and/or damage. If the technician did state that we try to get a low bid installaers first, that is incorrect and would essentially be counterproductive to the overall goal which is providing customers with the best service possible. The jobs get offered to whomever possess the skills to complete the job and are within their working radius.

I paid for a HelloTech service for which I was not satisfied. I proceeded to cancel my membership four days later and requested a refund of $19.99 pursuant to their "Peace of Mind Guarantee"; which is prominently displayed on their website (and also cited by their customer service salesperson). This "guarantee" states that: "If you are not satisfied with the membership in the first 30 days, we will refund the cost of the membership, no questions asked".HelloTech has refused to refund my $19.99. This is tantamount to potential fraud and at the very least misleading to consumers.BEWARE OF THIS FIRM - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM - SCAMHelloTech

I bought 2 outside cameras from X-finity for my home protection. I called Hello Tech, scheduled an appointment & sent photos of where they were to be mounted. The tech never showed up or called. When I called them, I was told I didn't have an appointment, even though I had a confirmation number. I was told they were short handed with techs! So why give me a confirmed appointment? I rescheduled, did a Zoom meeting, gave them all the information they needed. They guaranteed me that a tech would be out on the day they rescheduled my appointment. A tech again never showed up or called! DO NOT do business with this company. They are unprofessional!!HelloTech
