1 starHorrible service!Uncontrollable calls from different people to schedule maintenance, not abiding by the contract of every six months. They do not read the account information and call from different offices about 4 to 5 times a week. Send technicias when not asked for just to push up work not needed. All technicians are forcing to buy a new air conditioner even when not needed, very aggressive.Extremely difficult and almost impossible to by filters, I need to call about 10 or more times to different phone numbers and get no resolution, it becomes an aggravating full-time job for something so ********* appears that because they turned into a monopoly that they are abusing customers.Review fromJoel B

I give 2 starts because the tech they sent out for our HVAC system was extremely knowledgeable and was willing to answer all my questions. The quote I was given should be criminal! I was quoted $3,000 to fix the inducer motor. I found the part for $300 online and it was a simple straight forward fix that I did in about 20 minutes and I'm not exactly a handy man. Why were we asked to pay $2,700 for installation? That should be a crime! How are these companies getting away with this?ARS/Rescue Rooter

Had this company come out for a spring tune up, was informed by the technician that all my freon had leaked out from a faulty condenser. I called my warranty company and their technician said my freon was fine! My fan motor wouldn't come on full speed. ARS Rescue Rooter technician said my system needed to be replaced and had a salesman call me and tried to sell me a unit at 3 times the cost of buying a unit retail!!!ARS/Rescue Rooter

I am paying a monthly charge so that I get semi-annual tune-*** on my A/C heat pump unit. First, they spam your phone until you make the appointment probably because they want to get out and break your stuff. So, I made the appointment for a technician to do a tune-up on one of my 3 units. He arrives and tells me to turn on the unit while he looks at the compressor (which they installed 4-5 years ago). I do it and he comes back to the door and asks whether I have done it. It turns out that the breaker tripped. I reset it and he says that the family is not working. He replaces the capacitor and says it is still not working, so the motor needs to be replaced. He does not have one on the truck. Someone calls 2 days later to get someone new to the house who has no information. He looks at the motor and says it needs to be replaced but does not have one on the truck. He shows me what the cost to replace the motor would be and I almost fall over because he is only talking labor because the parts are under warranty which is $1000 with a discount. I figure it must be a huge job and I *********** without the A/C in *****. He comes back the next day and spends less than an hour replacing the fan. I said that it is ridiculous given the time he took when he presents the bill based on the estimate. Even taking into account the time the first guy took, we are talking about $500/hr. This is beyond thievery. He said that they are standard charges and he cannot change them. NEVER CALL ARS. THEY RIP YOU OFF AFTER BREAKING YOUR STUFF.ARS/Rescue Rooter

********** was offering $20 inspections through this company. During inspection, the breaker box for the ** broke. He said he was sorry, left, and sent a tech out to look at it. He said the whole HV** needs to be replaced and it will be ~15k, $250 for the next 7 yrs. He said if I sign right away he can lower my monthly payments, but we have to make a decision right away. I said no, my ** has been working since I moved in and I only want to fix whatever the tech broke. ANOTHER tech comes and says even if the breaker box is fixed, the fan and coils outside needs to be replaced and it will be ~6k. He said at that point there's no guarantee it'll work and I should really replace the whole HV**. NEVER ONCE have we had a problem with the ** until the inspector came so I said no thanks and called a different company for a second opinion. He fixes the breaker box in 45 min for only a couple hundred dollars. He said the fan and coils were fine and don't need to be replaced. He also said ***** are only 9k NOT 16k. This company price gouges and tries to get you to pay for repairs that are NOT needed. Do not use this company. I think they saw young first time home-buyers and thought we could be scammed.ARS/Rescue Rooter

I would NEVER recommend this company. From price gouging to telling us we need to replace a part that is broken. I had a tune up done discounted through **********. The technician came out and checked the system, turned the breaker box off, turned it back on and then the unit wouldn't turn back on. He then quoted me $5,000 worth of things needed to be replaced on my HV** system and recommended us to just replace the entire thing, didn't even try and fix the ** before he left while. He then quoted me to replace for $16,000. I denied, they went down to $13,000 if I signed tonight at ***, I denied and the next day said they would go down to $9,500. Seems like Price gouging to me. Another company Cane Out, fixed the breaker box the same day (for half the price that ARS wanted it for) and also said that everything else that the company claimed needed to be fixed, does not need to be fixed. So, ARS used the little knowledge that we have about HV** systems and tried to rob us.ARS/Rescue Rooter

No stars!!!! I called on April 4th 2025 and was given an appointment for this date with a window of arrival between 12-4pm and promised a text message 45 minutes before arriving. No text, no arrival. At 5:30 pm, I called again. Operator said tech was running behind and would call me within the hour. No CALL. NO ARRIVAL. You would think a professional technician would call a new customer once they realized he wasn't going to arrive within he window. Apparently, this company has **** poor training on how to communicate with customers and they don't value a new customers business. ****** I called again. This was call #3 advising that the tech was a no show and I received no call, no text from him. I proceeded to tell her, if this was they way they run a business I didn't want their services and it's pretty **** poor a technician will not communicate when they are running late with their clients. In not form or fashion did the operator attempt to keep my business and try to possibly set up another appointment or offer me a discount. When I told her I didn't want their services, she said okay I will let dispatch know and thanked me for calling. I wouldn't recommend this company and maybe it's a blessing in disguise that tech didn't come, because after reading their reviews it appears they have a pretty shotty repetition for being late, over charging people and other shady business tactics. I am very disappointed in this company and they had no respect for my time, but if they would have arrived and I wasn't home they would have charged me for a service call. I feel I need to send them a bill for my time they wasted, that I could have been doing something productive. It's very frustrating to be treated this way by people that suppose to be professionals. Note: They don't deserve the one star!!!!ARS/Rescue Rooter

My main line got backed up. I had them come out on late afternoon 3/30/25 and was very pleased (so I thought) left them a glowing review. Then yesterday noticed a potentent sewer smell coming from under my deck where the cleanout was. Did not think much of it because they were there cleaning out my main line. Today 4/2 when I got home from work it smelled worse I looked under my deck my cleanout cap was about a foot away from where it goes, so the tech never put the cleanout cap back on and literall SHT has been running up under my deck. So today 4/2 I crawled under my deck with gloves and screwed the cleanout cap back on the way it was supposed to be put on. Now nothing will flush I have everything backing up. Literally the tech did nothing and all the c*** has just been running out under my deck with my thinking the main line was cleared. Absolutely rediculous. I want my $83 or whatever I paid for the coupon back. And I am cancelling their AC tune up (I was happy until I found all of this c*** out)l. Again absolutely unreal. If they had done this to my elderly parents who can't figure some of this stuff out on their own, wow just wow. Zero stars if it was an option.ARS/Rescue Rooter

I had a great experience with ARS, starting with a young African American male that stopped me at the *********************. I believe his name is *****, but not certain. I dont usually stop when people are trying to get my attention in a store. I am usually in and out of the store. He was willing to walk with me as I picked up my items. If not for him I would not have gotten my AC inspected. My AC was 21 years old and still functioning. Not long after ***** arrived at my home. ***** was very knowledgeable and helpful with helping find the best unit to fit my needs. ***** answered all my questions and made the process easy for me to understand. I am a very tough person to sell anything to, but ***** has to be the best they have. I broke my rule of same day purchase. I was made an offer I could not refuse so to speak lol. ARS sent the absolute best installers to my home. Ask for the father and son team of ****** and *****. Those two guys are absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond making my garage look better than it had before. To watch these two men work was jaw dropping. To do what they did requires you to be a carpenter, welder, plumber, painter, weight lifter and electrician. I'm not one to stand over someone while they are working, but ****** and ***** were so cool to be around. They are masters of the craft. Both very helpful with explaining all the functions of my new unit. If you have the opportunity to get ****** and ***** you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend ARS.ARS/Rescue Rooter
