      I recently had a deeply unsatisfactory experience at Giant Eagle that has left me feeling frustrated and let down by their customer service. I purchased a money order from Giant Eagle, and unfortunately, I had to return it for personal reasons. Armed with my receipt and expecting a straightforward process, I was shocked when the store refused to accept the return.The lack of consistency and understanding in Giant Eagle's return policy is beyond disappointing. As a loyal customer, I assumed that returning a money order purchased from the same store would be a hassle-free procedure, especially when armed with a receipt. However, the staff at Giant Eagle were uncooperative and unwilling to assist me. The fact that Giant Eagle, a store that prides itself on customer satisfaction, refused to accept the return of their own product raises serious concerns about their commitment to customer service. The inconvenience and frustration caused by this incident have left me questioning whether I can trust Giant Eagle for future transactions.Moreover, the unhelpful attitude of the staff during this ordeal only added to my disappointment. A company of Giant Eagle's stature should prioritize customer satisfaction and demonstrate flexibility in resolving issues. Unfortunately, my experience suggests otherwise. I would caution potential customers to think twice before engaging in financial transactions, especially involving money orders, at Giant Eagle. The lack of a reasonable return policy and the uncooperative attitude of the staff have tarnished my perception of the store's commitment to customer service, and I am left with a negative impression that will undoubtedly influence my future shopping decisions.

      The weekly ad for vitamins stated that a customer could buy one and get one free. Our community has two stores. I went to the one closest to me the day after the ad was in effect. The item I wanted wasn't in stock, but the shelf had a tag in its space indicating the ad price for that item. I returned the next day and the space was still not stocked. When I asked the clerk at the pharmacy who was stocking shelves whether she had more in stock, she said no. So after I asked whether the store was getting more in before the sale ended, she again said no. I then inquired whether *************** might have them, and she said maybe and told me to call them. When I did that, that store also didn't have any available. All of this one day after the sale ran.

      I have bought meat from them, and twice now I received spoiled meat. Their produce is awful. And their prices are comparable to higher end grocery stores. Drive the extra mile and go to the ************** store.

      I shop at store #**** *********** , **** On Dec 4th I stopped at the store to buy Cut-rite wax paper and Tillamook Holiday Sugar Cookie Ice Cream. Both on sale per your website. I placed both in cart with no substitutes and there were not any "out of stock" alerts. At the store, neither product could be found. I was told (after waiting in line forever at customer service while the two people working had a long conversation ignoring customers) that no rain checks are issued and if I do not like that products are out of stock, customer service is useless...that I should write corporate. I wrote via the "contact us" on the website and never received an acknowledgement or a reply. Your store is definitely not concerned about customer retention. There is an unresolved problem every single time I go to your store.

      I was travelling this past weekend on 11/12/2023 and had reached out to the clinician to reissue a prescription for Augmentin, an antibiotic that the Giant Eagle pharmacy had originally filled for me last week. The pills were extremely large and made me gag, so I had asked for the prescription to be re-sent as a liquid. I had asked my father to go pick it up for me as a favor. He is 73 years old and gets confused easily-he has had some health issues. I was talking to him on the phone about a few things and mentioned that I would have to take my son to his doctor for possible bronchitis when I got back into town this week. My father went to the pharmacy to pick up the prescription and mistakenly said it was for his grandson (my son). The pharmacist said that he would not give my dad the prescription, even after my father said, oh I made a mistake--I am picking it up for my daughter. When I called my father later, while I was still on the road, to thank him for picking it up for me, my dad said he was unable to and told me what the pharmacist said. My dad called the pharmacy back and explained that he had made an error, that it was my prescription, and was called a LIAR by the pharmacist TWICE! My dad went back up to the store and asked for the prescription again, and it was finally given to him, but not after the pharmacist LOUDLY told my dad that it is "illegal to get a prescription that is for someone else, not the person it is being prescribed to." My dad felt humiliated and mortified about his mistake and left the store after finally getting this prescription. I was grateful that he could pick it up for me, since I have been battling a sinus infection for weeks and would not have been able to pick it up until today. I am surely not getting this filled at Giant Eagle and will not fill anything there again. I am APPALLED at the fact that your pharmacy staff would treat a senior citizen this way.

      Horrible customer service. Groceries left outside without notification so i had to throw out 95% of my order. Was overcharged on 2 items. The store manager refused to issue a refund for anything. I’m out over $100.00. Don’t ever shop this store.

      The Hempfield rt 30 location's dry cleaning service lost our drop and go bag and neither the store's staff or DFS Cleaning will admit it. They claim they have "video evidence" we never dropped it off. Neither business made any effort to resolve our issue other than to cover up their mistake. Now out approximately $100 to 150 worth of shirts based on what we remember was in the bag.

      This store used to be great . Not anymore ! The produce is terrible , most of it is going bad and what isnt is awful .The managers are SO snotty ! Especially ****** ! She stands by the registers and watches people like they are going to steal something .The older woman at the service desk acts like she would rather throw up than wait on you .They have stopped carrying so many items that i used to purchase , and they raise their prices every week now ! Not jusr a little , some things go up a dollar or more in a week ! Im not the only customer that has decided to find a new store to shop at . I spend 300 dollars plus a week just for the 2 of us . Its too bad they turned into a hateful mess !
