      Shift4Shop used to be 3DCART but they bought it a few years ago and ever since then everything has been a nightmare to say the least. I first started using 3DCART back in 2009 for 15 years, so I am a living archive of the entire history. As much as I wish I had good things to say about them, unfortunately, I am here leaving my last farewell review before finally moving on to other platform after dealing with and tolerating uncountable problems and issues, both technical and customer service wise. I know everyone who is reading here is a business owner who has no time to waste, so I will make it quick. DO NOT INVEST you time to establish business on this platform or with them. They have zero respect nor understanding what it means to establish and invest in a business. I regret spending $10,000 to customize when it was 3DCART back then if I had known this s***** company would take over and make all of your lifetime's worth of contribution useless. If anything, they will exactly hold your own investment as hostage to charge you the absurd unitary monthly subscription fee of $316! (if you have shopped around, this is nothing close to reasonable market pricing). I should have filed a small claim for my money back on customization and moved on way earlier but I just couldn't because I just had way too much to lose after building my business here with years and $$$. The management teal is horrible to say the least and is impossible to reach; it took me 1+ years to talk to "highness" in this company when my store broke down after their series of forced "update". If anyone is up for collective lawsuit, I am totally down for it, but I am filing a small claim for the customization fee for the time being for sure individually.Best wishes for all small and little business owners.

      The **** of **** fees; they are a nightmare. I am stuck in my contract for 7 more months, then it's goodbye. They just reach into your account and take what they want.

      Working with them is like going to the 7th level of h*** and not being able to exit. I've been trying to cancel our gateway for over a week. They say I can only do it on by phone. When I call and tell them I want to cancel they put me on hold for 10 minutes and then hang up on me. Emailing them only opens up a fake ticket and then they close them without doing anything. They claim they never received our CERTIFIED LETTER!!!! Most companies have an online cancellation form you just sign. Not Shift4. They torture you so they can steal your money. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      This is a horrible company. Anytime we had an issue, it would take hours to get customer service on the phone. The hardware is clunky and slow. The software can't execute simple functions like substitutions necessary for restaurant POS systems. Their reward system is abysmal. Nothing is user-friendly. We switched to Toast, and when we requested our gift card liability report, they demanded a $1000 fee to send it. It's OUR data. We own that data, and they just house itand they're holding it hostage for a fee?! I was livid. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

      Worst company ever. Highway robbery. Left me without working equipment for two months during the busiest season ever. I had to fight with them to get two months of processing fees waived! I had to file a BBB complaint to get them in the restaurant to fix THEIR equipment. When I changed processors after EIGHT years they tried to bully me and say their contract automatically renewed. We blocked them out of our bank account, blocked them from our email, and moved on. Best of luck to these blood letters. We really need to take our power back from these companies! Cash is king people. Use it!

      Shift 4 is a scam. We quit using their ‘free’ processing service and they’re billing us claiming we have a contract. We never signed a contract or guaranteed a commitment!

      Do not use this company! I have been calling them for my $845.00 back which never entered my which they say is still in process for being delivered Via Check…. It’s literally been 9 months and I still can’t get anyone from their accounting department to return my call and explain where my Money is…. F this company, I’m going to write as many negative reviews as I can to make sure nobody else has to deal with their scammer ****************

      Company is sending me emails saying my ticket has been closed pending 4/10/24????? You really cannot make this up. They told me i needed to upgrade my system and when i did the system did not handle the needs of my business so i cancelled. They somehow will not let us cancel and keep billing me. The system never worked and even one of their “specialists” came to our premise and could not fix the solution! He recommeded that we cancel and would let them know. Since then they have dodged the issue and refuse to take action! This company is a complete SCAM do not use them or trust them. They are completely dishonest! My business is CATCH 22 in bay ridge brooklyn and i will gladly speak to any prospective customers and tell them the truth about this company! STAY AWAY!

      SCAMMED BY THIS COMPANY! I was told i needed to upgrade my system in order for it to handle my business needs but we had nothing but problems with the functionality. I was a customer for years and when the upgrade didn’t fit my business needs they sent someone to help and he told me for what i need this system isn’t right. I have emailed them and called them trying to cancel for atleast 6 months and have been given the runaround. I have since replaced them as my point of sale system but they still charge me $210 MONTHLY for a system that doesnt work for me! There is no contract and if there was it would have expired because i am a long standing customer. They tell me they are cancelling and there will be no more charged but evey month it still comes out of ny account. Its disgraceful that this is allowed and they are allowed to lie to customers. I will be contacting my bank next to let them know not to accept the chargs going foward and i am currently looking for a small claims lawyer to help. STAY AWAY FROM SHIFT4!

      I have contacted the company for months and everytime i am told to leave my contact info and somebody will contact me and they never do. The times they contact me they always were the wrong department and would need to contact me back. Its a complete scam

      It is just like every other person one this site , they refuse to quit charging my bank account! The continuous try to charge my bank account even though we canceled them a year ago, I am going to go after them for theft for removing money from my account without just cause. Stay away from this Company by the way their POS system sucks go with Toast it is ten times better!
