Absolutely atrocious coverage, our family is counting down the days until we can drop CareSource. We've lost close to 24 hours total since they became our insurance provider in phone calls to try to get them to do their damn jobs. Consistently awful communication. Consistently useless customer service. Consistently abysmal coverage with confusing verbiage and no clear answers on what they *will* cover until you're in the thick of it. Avoid them at all costs.

Terrible Managed Care plan. They hound you and hound you. They give you the run around for approvals and take you through a lot in order to get any approvals. If you are disabled or enrolled in Georgia Families…DO NOT ENROLL WITH CARESOURCE!!! Use one of the other managed care plans!!! You will thank me later!!

I just had to switch insurance companies and Caresource is horrible. I used their find a doctor portal on their website and when I call to make an appointment every single doctor has said they don't take Caresource. I have tried pediatricians, family practice, pediatric dentists and family dentistry. Not a single one from the Caresource website actually takes caresource. What good is having insurance if no one takes them!

CareSource is just after saving money. I have been on the same medicine now for 21 years. Cannot take the generic of this medication and my doctor always sends prior authorization, but yet they still have to make it hard on you every single time even after 21 years of the same medication and trying generic for different times and having side effects. And one of the bad parts about this is is they don't even warn you that this is about to happen. So you're stuck with nothing at all. Like your health and mental health is not important. Shame on CareSource.

Renewed my policy without ANY authorization to do so. I contacted Marketplace and they've said multiple times that Caresource had no authorization to do so since I don't have an active policy. Caresource claims "this is a bug, it's on auto-renew but WE can't cancel it." I don't understand who gave them the legal authorization to start a new policy when marketplace confirmed they don't have any active policies for me. Essentially, they can create plans and charge us without consent, but have no way of canceling them. Total scam.

Caresource canceled my policy in September 2023 because I forgot to pay my bill. It was 9/27 and I was under the impression the law gave me a 30 day grace period so I tried to pay but was told the grace period was 30 days from the invoice date, which would have been 9/24, so my policy was canceled and I could not get new insurance until 2024. I made it very clear I would never do business with them again (and mentioned that I may have remembered to pay my bill if they would have covered my recommended adhd medication, but that’s besides the point). Fast forward to 12/31 and caresource took $467(and change) out of my account. I was signed up with anthem and already paid them, so I called to see what this was about seeing as at the bare minimum, they NEVER had my consent for automatic payments. They didn’t know but said they didn’t see where I authorized a payment and eventually transferred me to marketplace who discovered an “application”. They said caresource had me set up for automatic re-enrollment. But I wasn’t enrolled. So how could I be re-enrolled? And they used my stored payment information that I used for manual payments to take an automatic payment that they have NEVER had my consent to do. I have always been billed. I’m poor and don’t always know what week I’ll be able to afford to pay it. That being said, $467 is a LOT of money for me. It wiped out my bank account (on new years no less) and they said it could take up to 90 days to correct the error and get my money that they blatantly stole back to me. They are a terrible company, their customer service is aggressively terrible, they don’t cover a ton of basic needs, and they won’t even fix their own mistakes in a timely manner. I don’t know how I’m going to get groceries this week. This is a nightmare and they cannot stress enough when they talk to you that they do not care.

The worst possible insurance. Had to hound them to get anything done. Providers that aren’t in network frequently listed on their portal. Most providers won’t work with them cuz they’re so awful. They assigned me a nurse who said she’d help make my appointments and she just sent me an email with a list of providers I could’ve pulled from the portal myself, some of which don’t even actually take CareSource. Complete garbage.

The premiums are horrendous! When you pay $460.00 a month and have an out-of pocket deductible of $9,000 is outrageous! How can CareSource sleep at night knowing this. I need to get hit by a Mack truck to get to use it! Next year the premium is going up to $549.00 a month. Really CareSource?

Not only do doctors and dentists not want to take this insurance, but if they do, they never pay the claims. You're basically just throwing money away getting this insurance ...it does nothing.
