      Monday, August 29,2022 around 3:30pm I had spoken to a women who refused to remove me and my children from the otc rewards program. Then, when I asked to speak to someone higher up she place me on hold for almost 1 hour.       CareSource provides mediocre health insurance at exorbitant rates, while the company makes billions in revenues and the CEO makes millions in salary each year. They should be ashamed of themselves.

      I have to pay $200 a month for a necessary medication i've been told numerous times is covered. They talked the cost of my carpal tunnel surgery down to about half the starting price and then paid only $40 so that i wouldn't meet my deductible for the year. Their customer service is deliberately difficult to navigate and staffed with untrained and rude operators. 1 star is infinitely too many.

      I’ve had CareSource for a few years and am very disappointed with the service. Several offices do not accept this insurance because the insurance is so hard to work with and is quick to deny coverage (i.e. wrong medical codes, missing documentation, picky regarding physical therapist notation, etc.). I pay a lot for a terrible service. The phone wait is often long and calls are mysteriously cut. It’s incredibly difficult to get a direct quote on any future medical service. Indiana deserves better.

      As a company, they have absolutely no clue what they are doing. I have had to pay for meds out of pocket that are covered one month, then not, then covered, and back and forth and nobody knows why. You get different answers to questions depending on who you talk to, as there seems to be no formal training for most of their customers service agents. I.e., agent one says a service is covered, agent two says no, agent three says "maybe," and so on. And if you have CareSource Medicaid, expect to be treated VERY poorly in comparison to other CareSource members. Representatives also don't admit to not knowing something, and will make things up, which cost me all of my women's health rewards last year. Their current "rewards" program is a joke-- they have owed me $90 since February and NOBODY knows where it is or why I am not getting it. They assured me again that it would be fixed in May. It's now July, and apparently nobody has worked on my ticket since it was created. They also do not know how their own program works and kept directing me to wrong sites and got frustrated when it didn't work the way they wanted. I was on the phone over an hour today AGAIN and was supposed to be transferred to someone who was an expert or supervisor, only to get another agent with the same level of knowledge as the previous one. I was instructed to wait yet ANOTHER month for my rewards to MAYBE appear in my account, and then there MIGHT be some participating retailers I can use (I was also told there is no list of participating retailers for their rewards program available until you actually go to cash out, which seems odd, but whatever). You also can only use your rewards for online/digital purchases now, so if you're in an extremely rural area with little to no delivery options, you're screwed.

      I have had them for 8 months so far. They got rid of my plan that i started with. it was a low deductible low copay plan after only 2 months. so i sign up for another plan had to get a higher deductible with higher copay. Sounds like a was scammed but they are the cheapest monthly rate. so i stuck with them. I have had several issues with finding providers. there web site has several providers listed but half of them dont care care source marketplace. just today I tried to find a urgent care I couldnt get the web site to work so I called them to help find me a urgent care by me. The lady give me 2 of them with addresses and phone numbers to call. I called both numbers and both numbers were disconnected. so i drove to one of them and the place isnt even there . I gave up after that. going to try a home remedy . then call about another healthcare provider in the morning.

      Worst, most inept marketplace insurance ever. I may change all my docs (TriHealth)next year just iso I don’t have to use them! Very, very difficult to deal with!!!

      Horrible insurance company. Stay away. They are overpriced and see people as a number and not as human beings. I missed one single premium payment and they immediately canceled my health insurance. Now I have to go without insurance for 6 months until open enrollment comes back around. You’ve been warned
