      Entered by BBB staff LO Consumer states she signed a contract with the business around December 2021 for rodent and roach reduction. The consumer states the business has been coming out to service her home but they have not come out for the roach reduction since February. The consumer was advised they came out in May to do the rodent reduction but the consumer was not advised and she states there is a dog in her yard so she is not sure how the employee would have gotten back there. They are also supposed to service inside of the home but she states no one has been inside. The consumer contacted the business and asked about the re-service because what they are doing is not working. When she called she asked to cancel her contract because what they are doing is not working and they aren't coming regularly and they advised her they were separate contracts. The consumer was told they would remove the roach reduction but could not remove the rodent reduction because they are separate and she would have to continue the remainder of her contract, which is 6 more months.

      My wife attempted to call Greenix to cancel. She got transferred to an account manager and no one ever came to the phone on multiple attempts. When She spoke with a young man answering phones regarding this, he spoke with a supervisor and advised the supervisor that my wife was going to contact the BBB if someone could not assist in cancelling our account. The young man came back to the phone and advised that his supervisor said that it was our choice to do so and did not offer any additional assistance.

      On March 15, 2022 I hired Greenix to come out and address a mouse problem in my basement. When it looked like the technician was about to leave without doing anything in my basement, he said he wasn’t permitted to treat within the house, but would leave glue traps for me. (Id already been using glue traps, at a fraction of the cost of this service.) They indicated on the first and subsequent visit that the bait boxes placed outside my home would lure the mice out. I am still catching mice on a regular basis in my basement. I also have ants inside my home, so on the first visit, they offered a deal to sign up for insect control on subsequent treatments. When they came for the ant treatment, again, it looked like the technician was about to leave without entering my home. I asked how the ants inside would be controlled. He gave me some sugar traps, as an afterthought. All three technicians indicated that their treatment works by guarding the exterior perimeter of the home, but that I’d have to be patient for the pests already within the home to clear out. I’m not sure why they didn’t tell me upon signing, when I specifically indicated the interior of the home was where the pest issue was, that they couldn’t treat inside of the home. I called to cancel their service today (5/6/22, but they informed me I would be paying a $250 fee each for cancelling both the rodent and the pest service while “within contract” ($500 total). They applied a partial refund ($77 back from $140) for a premature service they surprised me with today, and offered a discount ($40 off $80)for the next rodent visit I do not mind paying for a service that works. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that their exterior treatment would somehow become effective on the interior of my home. However, it’s been two months and I still have mice and ants. I feel this is a fraudulent service. I can eat the money spent, but am upset they wont release me from payment for future service
