I brought my car to Tire Discounters in ******* ** on December 27, 2024. I purchased 4 new ***** tires. In March of 2025 I started to hear a front end noise and got a flat tire and took my tire to be fixed at Tire Discounters. At Tire Discounters they told me I would either have to buy a new tire or pay for road hazard insurance. So I chose the road hazard as it was advertised as a better deal. After the replacement I still heard the front end noise so I took it to ********* automotive and they told me I had several front end issues, a broken axle and seal, and a leak in my new transmission. Also, the tires were too large for my car. I then contacted tire discounters and told them about my tires. They openly admitted to putting the wrong tires on my car. They had the opportunity to tell me twice and instead sold me road hazard insurance. The pictures I have show the ***** tires literally touching my fender. There was no way the service technicians could have missed it when putting them on both times. After arguing with the service manager and getting no where I spoke with the general manager and they accepted full blame and replaced my tires with cheaper tires and refunded me the difference. I appreciate that help, but now I am left with a ton of front end damage, all bad wheel bearings, and transmission damage, because I’ve been driving on tires that are too large for my car for over 5,000 miles, due to their negligence. I cannot drive my car right now without causing more damage. I feel they should be held responsible.

My daughter had her tires replaced here on March 8th, on March 22nd after driving the car fewer than 10 times since the tire replacement, her tire came off as she traveled home. The lug nuts were not properly tightened and one stud was completely broken off. I had her car towed to our mechanic who explained what had happened, and when I called the shop, they wanted me to bring it to them so that they could repair it. It was already with a mechanic, so Curtis B**** the manager said they would reimburse me for the repair costs and for me to just drive her car up to Lawrenceville (from Athens) to have them look at it and to bring the receipts. Sure thing, I drive it up there, he apologizes to me and to my daughter and says he will get it taken care of, I just have to go get an estimate for the repairs to the body. Ok, sure thing I will do that. I take it to get an estimate, and one was for $4,300 and one for $3,500 so I bring them the lower estimate because I am not trying to bleed them dry, I just want to be made whole. Radio silence. I call Curtis B**** on Thursday, March 27 to be sure they received the estimate and what the next steps would be. Curtis informed me that Rusty would be in contact. I do not hear from them so I then reach out via email April 1 to follow up and request a call before close of business tomorrow and Rusty finally calls me. He then proceeds to lie and say that my mechanic said the car had no damage, that there was no way the wheel fell off the way it did . Unfortunately for Rusty, my mechanic is one of the few honest mechanics left in this world and told me EXACTLY what he told Rusty which was the opposite of what Rusty said. My honest mechanic said he would testify or write a statement attesting to the damage and the likely cause of the damage. Rusty reaches back out to me on April 3 after I’ve posted several negative reviews and asks me to bring the car back for them to inspect. I brought it back on April 5 and we still have no resolution.

I had Tire Discounters in ********** ** do my front brakes less than six months ago due to the rotors being warped. Tire Discounters repaired the vehicle and it the brakes worked for a couple of months and then slowly went back to not being able to stop well when traveling highway speeds due to the rotors feeling warped again. I took it to Tire Discounters on 03/14/25, and they said i needed rotors, brakes, AND rotors. I waited six hours, and when it was done, they charged me $800 dollars and said it was for labor and rotors. Calipers do not cost $800.00 with labor. To make it worse, the brakes are doing the exact same thing as when i brought it back in. I feel like they took my $800.00

Hello, On 3/3/25 I had a 9am appointment at Tire Discounters **** ** ********* ** *********** **** *****  To replace my front driver side tire and an oil change. My husband arrived at 9am at 10:37am the car was still parked and my husband asked if it would be started sometime soon and he was told no. I left work and picked him up at 11am from tire discounters. At 1:28 we received a voicemail that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. We picked up the vehicle around 4pm. Driving away we realized the change oil code was still on the dash and there was NO sticker in the top left hand corner as usual. I drove the car back to tire discounters. Upon entering I asked the front desk guy if my oil had actually been changed. He REFUSED to answer me. I asked if they no longer put the sticker in the left hand corner he again REFUSED to answer me. He walked out to the bay and told one of the guys this lady needs her oil code cleared. I asked him again if my oil was actually changed he did not answer. The boy went out to my car and spent 6 minutes trying to clear the code and he had no clue how to do it. He finally got another guy to come out and clear the code. Still NO answer if my oil was actually changed. I got home and removed my dipstick to BLACK oil. I immediately called a mechanic to set an appointment to confirm if my oil was changed or not by tire discounters. On Monday 3/10/25 my oil was changed by *** Automotive who confirmed my oil was NEVER changed by tire discounters. We spoke to Andrew P***** who told us that they have camera footage of his guys changing my oil and replacing the filter and that all he can help me with is a future free oil change. That is absolutely unacceptable! Between lack of customer service and lack of ACTUAL service I am appalled. I work in the retail/service industry and this situation is quite literally insane. Clearing my code without the work is at the very least misleading, fraudulent, and dangerous !! Will not let me upload photos here

Took my **** ****** for Service early October 2024 They replaced both front CV axles, Got car back but had new shaking issues while driving Took it back two different times and they said they check it out and everything was fine. They told me they couldn,t do anything and told me to take it to dealership. Took it to dealership, paid $100 for service for them to tell my my Front CV axles needed replaced even though i just had them done! Went back to Tire discounters with the paperwork from the dealership stating my CV axles needed replaced. TD then supposedly replaced the front right CV axle and told me that it was ready. I picked it up and it seemed to be feeling much better. Two days later while driving to work on a side road my front CV axle broke in half! I had to miss work, pay $200 for a tow truck to a garage, to then have to repay $911 dollars to another garage to fix the front CV axles! After my car was fixed correctly by *** **** ******* it drove like a dream! Drove it back to Tire Discounters with my receipts and they Apologized and admitted fault. Told me id have a refund before Christmas. Darnel the manager was wonderful as he was the only face to face contact i had but his Managers whoever approves of these refunds dropped the ball many times. i had to resend receipts as they extended mt refund date Mid January i was calling in once a week to get some sort of "update" They never called me once, not ever about apology or anything Then just last week Feb 20th i got a check in the mail for $620.25 I then called in to complain but Darnel could not help me, he sent an email to his managemment Im just apalled how ive been treated and then this small amount of a check feels like a slap to the face of a trusting customer. It barely covers one side of the axle, let alone the other side and the $200 tow. My grandfather told me to contact you guys to help. I have not cashed the check yet What should i do? i paid $911 for the repair plus my $222 tow

Went online on Sunday, 2/23/25 and made an appointment online for a front end alignment. They called me on 2/24 to schedule an exact time on 2/25 for 1pm. I was told the alignment would be for front end would be $89.99 plus tax. I came in on 2/25 at 12:55pm to drop off the car, was told it would be $157, even though on the phone I was quoted $89 99. This was the first thing that went wrong that I wasn't impressed with. The second thing is I was told it would be 1 hour. It is now 140pm and my car is still sitting where I parked it. This is horrible service. I won't be recommend this company.

May 2024 told brakes would need replaced, opted to do front brakes no issues. In Novemver 2024 returned to have rear brakes done. Receieved call that control arm bushings need replaced $1700. I advised to just do rear brakes and I would see dealer to check other bc its a large fix. In December 2024 my brakes began squeeking going forward at stop and grinding when backing in reverse. Due to a death in the family I made an appointment the earliest I could for February 5, 2025. On February 5. 2025 I dropped my vehicle off ay 900. I was told they'd inspect issue and call me, they said that should take 30-40 minutes. I contacted them at 1140 for update and was told nothing was heard on test drive nor found when visually inspected. I was extremely frustrated and stated that was impossible because it's been doing it for 2 months since service. They asked if I wanted a different technician to look at it. I advised I wanted my car back and I'd take it to another shop. Picked up my car at 1215 on 2/5/25 with nothing said to me by manager. I said nothing back took my keys and receipt and left. The car sqeaked at every stop. I returned home to find obnoxious an false statements made under recommendations. See attached comments and receipt from 2/5/25. I was frustrated on phone and did say I'd utilize another shop. I never said they damage my vehicle or messed it up. Also I was never told not to come back and I have 5 year contract with them for alignments on 2 cars. ALSO in 11/24 saying I had no brakes is untrue as they put new front brakes in May 2024. See attached bill for comments. See attached bill for the 11/24 work . I am requesting apology from store for juvenile and false comments and pro-rsted return on 2 alignment packages.

My vehicle would not start so they had my vehicle for 3 to 4 days with no recollection of what to do they called other businesses that they dealt with to ask them for help. My vehicle Mr was towed there because it wouldn’t start, it was towed there on a Sunday so they could start working on it Monday! Monday came nothing, Tuesday and Wednesday Thursday and Friday came no idea what was going on with it. Next Monday came still no idea. So Tuesday came and they had someone from corporate came to look at it supposedly and said that the Engine was gone in it I didn’t find this out until after I took my vehicle and they repaired it for $869.10 I am furious because they knew when they had supposedly fixed my vehicle that my engine was about to go bad 2 weeks later my engine went I had to sell it to Carmax and all they could give me was $500 for a vehicle that was worth $5,200. So I had to go into debt and put money down that I didn’t have and get a car note when my 2007 ***** IS 250 was paid for I didn’t owe anything on it. Businesses take advantage of woman because they think we don’t know anything. I want my money back all $869.10

Tire Discounters has overcharged me for tires and services based on my review of several invoices. On 12/18/2019 I bought 4 tires in the amount of $61.4.14 Invoice **********. After i bought these tires, I had to have several repairs due to tire problems. I submitted a BBB complaint and asked for ******** Ties which are the original type of tires that came with the car. Tire Discounters agreed to the replacement. On 5/8/2021 I bought 4 ******** tires and was given a credit of $554.29 instead of $614.14 Invoice **********. I ask for the difference between $614.14 and $554.29 or $59.85 Since I bought the ******** tires, I have had to replace 2 of them. I got another ******** on 12/7/2024 for which I paid $90.68 Invoice **********. I just had to replace another one 1/24/2025 for $293.80 Invoice **********.I did not get a lower price as my Road Hazard Insurance had expired. On this invoice I was doubled charged $34.99. The first page of the invoice has a credit, and the second page shows an installation charge of $34.99 and another charge of $34.99 for labor. The labor should have been included in the installation charge. Based on the above Tire Discounters owes me $59.85+$34.99 or $94.84. Their bills are very confusing showing credits and charges. I would like a credit to my ****** ****. This is the card I used to pay the $293.80. Please seek this credit from the company. I am a retired civilian employee of the Department of Defense. Please contact me if you have any questions. I have all the invoices referred to above. Thanks in advance for your assistance. **** *****

We apologize for the confusion. The credit of $554.29 was issued based on the manufacturer's warranty, which calculated the value of the remaining life of the tires being replaced. Regarding the $34.99 charge, this is our standard fee for a flat repair. However, because you purchased the tires from us, flat repairs are free, and the charge is listed as discounted on the line below. (Please see the original invoice I have provided.) Given the explanations provided, no refund is owed. However, as a customer courtesy, we have chosen to refund $80. If you have any questions, the regional manager will be reaching out to provide a more detailed explanation.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.  The most recent response states that the General Manager will reach out to me. He did call me Feb 28 and i returned his call. He did not call me back. I would like to discuss the billing process with him especially how the credit was arrived at. I still feel i was not credited the proper amount when I returned the 4 tires and replaced them with *********.

      Thanks for your assistance.

The $554.29 credited to you when you replaced the tires using the manufacturer's warranty was determined by the manufacturer. Tire Discounters had no input in that decision; therefore, any concerns regarding the amount will need to be addressed directly with the manufacturer. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

On January 4, 2025, I brought my vehicle to Tire Discounters at ***** *** ***** *** ********* ** *****, for a routine oil change. Upon pickup, I was informed to wait despite the store was closed. I waited for an hour and then asked them if there’s something going on. The manager later told me that the car would not start. While employees continued working on it, I noticed smoke coming from the vehicle. The manager told me that they have been asked to cease working on the vehicle and a superior technician will take a look at it on the next business day. Later they towed the vehicle at their expense to a ********** dealership for diagnosis. Tire Discounters Regional manager Joe initially assured me they would cover costs if at fault but ceased all communication after a week. The dealership confirmed the engine was damaged due to oil overflow, turning a simple oil change into extensive damage. Tire Discounters denied responsibility, claiming their technician was not at fault, despite the dealership’s diagnosis. They claimed that they checked their surveillance camera to see if they are at fault or not. They later informed that surveillance camera shows they are not at fault. My repeated attempts to contact the local branch and corporate office for written clarification were ignored. This lack of accountability left me with significant financial losses and wasted time. Tire discounters got away after towing my vehicle to the dealership, I had to make numerous calls to lot of people that involved lot of time and energy. I left my car on January 4, 2025, and received it back on January 22, 2025, after incurring repair and rental costs. I request the Better Business Bureau’s assistance in holding Tire Discounters accountable for these damages and expenses.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

I am writing in response to your email regarding my complaint (Complaint ID #********).

We have not received any response from Tire Discounters regarding this matter. When we addressed the issue with them, they refused to take accountability. They also claimed to have reviewed their surveillance footage and concluded that their technician, who performed the oil change, was not at fault. However, the diagnostic report clearly states that the engine damage was caused by overfilled oil.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

      Hello *********,

Sorry I tried to respond previously but didn’t work out.

Tire Discounters did not respond to my complaint or BBB complaint. I field case with **** Attorney General’s and they provided response to them they will reimburse me the money. However they never communicated to me neither they reimbursed me. They reached out to me in first week of February that they will reimburse and after that they suddenly closed all means of communication with me. It seems like they do not want to pay me.

      Thank you,
