      I was given a Bed, Bath, & Beyond gift card for my birthday. I did not use the card right away because there was no store close to me that I cared to visit. The closest store was located in the middle of some of the worst traffic in the city, and I do not like to get stuck in traffic. I figured the next time I had to be in that area of town for some reason, I would stop in at the store and use the gift card. I never had the chance. I learnt that this company was filing for bankruptcy. I was told to contact an address to file my claim to get my money back. I did so before any deadline. I had confirmation that my claim was received. I have been waiting ever since to get my money from them. No one has ever contacted me after all this time--must be at least two years by now. However, they started sending me marketing emails recently. The ONLY way they could have gotten my email address was from the claim I filed because as I said, I did not shop at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, so they did not know me or my name or my number or my email address. I received another email from them recently, so I belled them. The woman understood everything I explained to her. Her only solution was to offer me a 20% coupon off of a purchase from them. Unbelievable. They owe me money, and their solution is ask me to spend more of my money at their store and enjoy 20% off my purchase. Talk about nerve! Would you shop somewhere where they owed YOU money and have yet to pay you?? What a bad joke!!

      I have a bed bath and beyond gift card with funds on it , it is not letting me use because in April 2023 bed bath and beyond filed bankruptcy. I was told to file a claim with BBB to be able to retain those funds.

      I got married Feb. 2020 right before Covid shut everything down and a sad realization is the bed bath and beyond gift cards I just found that we forgot about since we weren’t using them while social distancing. My husband lost his job and we are on my teacher salary, the gift cards we were gifted as part of our wedding makes a difference more now than ever before! I can’t check the balance of the gift cards since the PIN numbers are too long and won’t work on the current website. I know I can’t get the full amount back, but is there even any partial refund on new gift cards we could still get? My family gifted us this and now we can’t even use it, we are out hundreds of dollars that we really need now. Thank you for your consideration.

      Today (12/10/2024) I attempted to use my Bed Bath & Beyond gift card that was purchased prior to August 2023. The card states "Never a fee. Never expires". However, I was unable to use the gift card on the Bed Bath & Beyond app. A web search turned up information that the company would not honor gift cards purchased prior to August 2023. It seems that the card that "never expires" has expired after all. I would like a refund or store credit, please.

      I am filing a claim for the lost gift card value for a Bed Bath & Beyond gift card in the amount of $175. No notice was provided to gift card recipients to use this by any particular deadline and nothing was offered in exchange (even of any lesser value or coupons) at all so I am filing a claim here in hopes of recovering this debt/value. Gift Card # is included as "Account Number" below.

      To Whom It May Concern:

      The gift card was not purchased from Overstock, now Bed Bath & Beyond.

      The former  Bed Bath & Beyond filed bankruptcy.  The deadline to use Bed Bath & Beyond gift cards was May 9, 2023.  

      The new Bed Bath & Beyond is not the same company as the former Bed Bath & Beyond. Overstock only purchased their intellectual properties, allowing for the name change. 

      The customer's complaint is with the former company.

      Below is the letter I sent to ************************************** written and called and put my name on lists-but HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE!!!************************* ***************************************** Bed ***************************** ******************* August 24, ********************** Dear *****************: I am writing this letter as I am very distressed and quite embarrassed. I often give Bed ***************************** gift cards as part of my wedding gifts. I recently gave two of these as gifts and a third one last week. I had one card that I was planning to give my friend when I Found my local Bed ***************************** was gone. I do not know when it closed.I immediately called my son's friend (who I just gave a gift to) and told him to save the card if the store near his home will not accept it. The other two cards are gone and it is so embarrassing that I already gave them and cannot do anything about it.I am retired on a small income and cannot afford to lose hundreds of dollars. I will send you the two cards currently in my possession and tell me what I should do.I am awaiting your response.Thank you so much,******************

      To Whom It May Concern,

      Overstock.com acquired the intellectual property (the name,brand, and company rights) of Bed Bath & Beyond in June of 2023. This did not include their existing or previous orders, inventory, coupons, cards,certificates, or storefronts. We are not able to honor gift cards that were issued and unused. All outstanding Bed Bath & Beyond gift card balances from preexisting digital and physical gift cards expired on May 9th, 2023.

      I requested reimbursement for a gift card of $150 given by my son and was denied and treated rudely by a customer service associate with Bed Bath and Beyond. Now I have been unable to use the gift card. I feel as though money has been stolen from us.

      I received two gift cards for my wedding last year, and i attempted to use this card online, or in the states (knowing that the canadian store filed for bankruptcy), however was informed that i cannot do this, although the card specifies on it that it can be used in the ***, and online. They are offering new gift cards for purchase... this is incredibly disturbing. I would like for my gift cards to be checked for balance and be given a new gift card with the amount.

      I have a $100 gift card I was gifted and now apparently cant use. I want a credit for Bed, Bath, and Beyond since they are still operating as Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

      I ordered a gazebo from the company and it shipped from ********** which took 31/2 weeks to deliver. When the order arrived, one of the boxes had been lost at customs. The company sent me another box to replace the first, but when I received it and looked at the parts in the original boxes I received and the forth box that I waited for, all of the parts were damaged, dented. I called the company and explained that I would not continue the process of returning or replacing because half of the summer was gone and it took too long to receive replacements, so I would accept product as is and make do, but that I wanted a partial refund on the purchase. They then told me that all they could offer me was a 150$ refund. The damage is worth a lot more than that, and I can not contact headquarters or anyone to negotiate with. They said it is a computer generated amount that they are allowed to refund and that is it. As a customer paying that much, I believe I should be entitled to more than that for compensation. I sent them over ************************************************************** but said there was nothing she could do. I no longer want to do business with them or wait again for a new set that will likely have the same issue because of the way they pack their products. The case # is ******** Thank you
