1 starIf your insurance requires you to use Express Scripts stay clear! There's nothing Express about their service instead quite the opposite of express. I found one great customer service agent, **** and she let me know that I could also have my prescriptions filled locally at *********. I will now have to ask our doctors to send new prescriptions to *********. DON'T EVEN PLACE AN ORDER UNLESS YOU CAN WAIT UP TO 2 WEEKS TO GET YOUR FIRST FILL.Review fromTevin W

1 starHorrible experience! Switched to this provider for my prescription and added 1 day shipping. Processing took 10 days, the 1 day shipping was actually 7 days due to my prescription being cancelled. The only reason I found out is because after the status was changed to shipped I reached out after 3 days to see if my prescription had shipped. They said I was given a bad tracking number and could not resend my prescription until it was processed again. Long wait time to speak with a representative, horrible problem resolution and everyone reads a script with generic responses to your issues/problems. I advise you to go anywhere else for services except for express scripts.Review fromKristen J

1 star7 hours 16 minutes on phone with Accredo since January 2025 to attempt to get my ****** medication. I have been told I have to wait until day 14, 26 and day 30 to request a refill (I only get 30 tablets so it seems completely insane to wait until day 30). NO ONE from the **************** people to leadership knows what the h*** is going on and one can help you. Unable to find email contact to let leadership or board members know what an incredibly inept pharmacy this is. I was without medication for 3 days due to their incompetence. This pharmacy should be shut down. Numerous complaints on Reddit and on ******** about people not getting their specialty (Chemo, Rheumatology, etc. ) medications.Review fromJess W

1 starWas given a 1 month prescription with no refills while I was ill. Express scripts continuously sends emails and letters that the medication in my plan requires me to fill a 3 months supply for long term medication. I have called them several times explaining that I am not on any long term medication and don't want to receive these letters making it seem like I must buy this medication. I have confirmed with both the pharmacy and the doctor that it was only a 1 month supply and I don't need it going forward. They will not remove it from my medication plan when I call. This is a terrible business practice and I'm sure it leads to people who aren't paying attention buying unnecessary medication from them.Review fromMarc K

1 starMy prescription drug insurer, ********, uses Express Scripts to fill prescriptions. I received an email from Express Scripts that I had four prescriptions due. I placed the order online and got a shipping notice, thinking everything was fine. The package contained only one of the four medications. Then I received three emails (one for each missing drug) stating: Your prescriber requested that we not fill your prescription. Please contact your prescriber...I called Express Scripts for an explanation. The representative, whose English was hard to understand, insisted I needed to get my doctor to renew these prescriptions. Yet, when I contacted my doctor, the nurse confirmed that all four had been renewed for a year, three months prior. She also said they had spoken to someone at Express Scripts named Gin, who claimed a billing issuewhich made no sense, since my account showed a zero balance and my stored credit card allowed charges up to $500. I called Express Scripts again, and again they claimed I still needed a renewal.I called my insurance company for help. They connected me to an Express Scripts **** who then insisted that the problem was my mailing address, despite it being on file for four years and used just days earlier for the single shipped item.Express Scripts gave three different excusesfirst blaming my prescriber, then my billing, then my addressall of which were incorrect. I spent nearly three hours trying to fix this. Finally, after I threatened to contact their corporate office, they promised to ship the prescriptions, but Im not confident Ill receive them soon.Express Scripts is the worst company Ive ever dealt with in regard to prescriptions. They are certainly not worthy of a B+ rating In BBB. If possible, I strongly recommend avoiding themReview fromMackenzie C

1 starI have spent the total of five hours on the phone with them trying to get a reimbursement because they overcharged me and overcharged our co-pay assistant program which screwed everything up for the year of last year and lead us to take out a personal loan to pay them off.. a total of $12k+ and hope to be paid back by my prescriptions rebate program. They will fill your ears with lies after multiple calls and multiple back and forth scenarios. I ended up owing them over $12,000 but when I looked at each individual bill they were over billing myself and my copay assistance programs this company is absolutely horrendous. They should be put out of business for fraud and patient neglect in my opinion. The crazy part is they kept sending prescriptions racking my bill up and failed to tell me that they over charged my copay assistance program so there for they stopped paying leaving me with an outstanding bill.Review fromSherry S

4 starsMy doctor gave me a new prescription on 2/20/25. I had taken this medication a couple of years ago so I thought I'd give it another try. I was shocked today when I saw a notice on my bank statement that Express Scripts had deducted $48.61 from my account. I figured it must be a mistake, because the drug wasn't expensive. I called Express and was told they were giving me the "courtesy" of breaking it up into 3 payments, meaning they still intend to take another $97.22 from my acct. This drug on Good Rx is $29.78 at my local pharmacy. So Express Scripts OVER CHARGED me by $116.05!! I called them immediately, but of course they said it was shipped on Feb. 21, which was 13 days ago so I'm sure they didn't send it then. I am canceling ALL my Express Scripts prescriptions. At ********* some of my meds cost $3 or $4 more, but I can at least SEE the price, and if it's to high, I tell them I don't want it.These people have found a way to convince others that they're providing a fair price service. QUITE THE OPPOSITE.If you're considering using Express Scripts, I highly caution you. DON'T fall for it.Review fromCarter G

1 starI have never had the displeasure of dealing with a less competent and negligent specialty pharmacy in my life. They were given a prescription by my provider that stated i was to be given FIVE pens of my Eczema medication on February 12th, Accredo drug their feet and "called" my provider several times, I called my insurance provider and they stated it was approved, accredo was trying to send 8 and causing my plan limitation to fail. I have tried multiple times to get this taken care of with no success.Review fromAmy F

1 starEvery year express scripts is given a co-pay assistant card and debit card to cover my ** medication. This has been going on for years. Each year they say the card is denied and I spend hours on the phone between them and my co-pay assistance program trying to iron out the problem and each time it end up being the Express Scripts *** not entering the information correctly. This wastes dozens of hours of my time away from work on me having to do tue job for Express Scripts. When you ask to speak to a manager they make you give a reason to speak to one and then put you on hold for another hour plus and you never get to speak to one. Horrible company who puts peoples lives in jeopardy every day! They should be put out of business!
