2 starsWe rented a pickup on Thursday afternoon from the *******, Wi. location. Originally I checked with Tomah, Wi which did not have a truck or a drop box for off hours returns; but had a great staff who was very helpful. In ******* we had a hassle as the website did not state a credit card is necessary so with plenty available on debit we planned to use that. We got that debacle straitened out without any help from the management. We then tell the representative, whom tells us they run that location, that we will need to bring the truck back after closing on Friday. We discuss the fact that the office has a key drop and cameras to see the truck has been returned. "If you want to return a vehicle when the branch is closed you must check with them when picking up your vehicle to determine if an "after hours" service drop box is available. Doing so will help you avoid additional charges" (This quoted section is copied directly from the frequently asked section on the Enterprise website).Friday comes we realize we need it longer than the time they requested (closing time, even though we already established they were set up for after hour drops, it even displays on the web page that they accept after hour drops) we call to inform them we will need to return the truck later than 5. We bring the truck back Saturday in daylight hours and park in view of the cameras waiting for a spot to open up as the neighboring businesses also park along the curb. Finally we move the truck in front of another camera. I then take my phone and capture video footage of the full fuel gauge, the condition of the interior, a full walk around of the truck and the walk back to the key drop. I then show their camera and mine that I have the key and am dropping it in the key slot well before the 48 hour ***** We then get billed for 4 days even though it is obvious we had it for 2 days and a few hours. Rent with caution if you need to or do not mind giving money to them as a charity. Truck was nice.Review fromAndy M

1 starThis company is garbage. They have deceptive marketing that entices you to rent a particular car to fit your needs. When you show up they are out of that type and give you an option of a non equivalent model. I have a large family and we intended to take a vacation. The premium SUV was what we booked and received confirmation for. This was a few weeks ahead of schedule. When I called to confirm the night before pickup I was told they dont have those models at that location but I could get them at another. I arrived at the second location and they also did not have the premium SUV and attempted to get me in something that would work. I decided to call Alamo and they were amazing about the rental of a premium SUV. I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again. I will ALWAYS tell everyone I meet to not use enterprise. Horrible.Review fromWendie S

1 starWhen renting car, the bumper in front was 'popped' out. They 'made a note' of it on the iPad when we looked at it. Acknowledged damage. Returned. Now being told there is damage and to pay. They can simply file it to insurance on record. Finally get an answer on what damage. It's the bumper! So, they lie and get everything printed out and save it, hopefully you don't get screwed by them like me.Review fromShirtona H

1 starI got into a car accident and had to rent a car for a month. In their system, I selected a car for $30 a day, but they put me in a $60-a-day vehicle without telling me they upgraded it. Im pretty sure they stay silent about price changes because they get paid on commission. After having the car for about ****************************************************************** five days. I was ******. Their only solution was for me to return the car and switch to a cheaper one. This was during a snowstormI wasnt trying to drive since the roads were icy (and I was still shaken from my accident). But the next day, I returned it anyway. When I got there, they suddenly had no cars with all-wheel drive. Then they told me they couldnt check other Enterprise locations inventorywhich sounds like a straight-up lie. The manager also admitted that they dont tell people prices unless asked, meaning they purposely avoid talking about costespecially when they upgrade you. Thats shady and dishonest business. I ended up driving to a different Enterprise to switch my car. This location is slimy. Do not rent from them. I paid over $600 out of pocket. I prepaid just to avoid having to speak to them when dropping the car off. My accident was already traumatic, and they only made it worse. Both cars they gave me sounded like they were on the verge of breaking down. Since it was freezing outside, the windshield washer fluid was frozen, so I couldnt even use it.When I finally returned the car at the end of all this, all they had to do was hand me my receipt so I could leave. Instead, they tried to say I owed $700 (or maybe $7, I couldnt tellbut I know for a fact I paid over $600 two weeks prior and didnt owe them a dime). After some back and forth, they finally confirmed I owed nothing.Ive rented from Enterprise several times, but this was the worst experience. This location should be shut down.Review fromJessica L

1 star******************** recently tried to set me up with a rental from Enterprise while my truck was in for repairs. I stopped out to pick up the vehicle but would not provide a vehicle with 4wd at the price listed online which would be covered in full by my insurance. I reached out to the main service line for Enterprise and was told that I would have to pick up the rental from another office, to which I responded that wouldn't be a problem. They then took my information and told me that the General Manager for ******** would be reaching out to me and that he could let me know where I should go as their system doesn't let them see available vehicles or pricing of offices. After a week I still had not heard from anyone, so I called back in. I spoke with ***** who I'm sure would have been helpful with just setting up a rental, but couldn't understand me well enough to help me with my issue. I was then transferred to ***** in Escalations who was the most condescending person I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. After I explained everything that had happened he told me that 1) There was no reason for the ** to call me. 2) They have no control over what locations charge for rentals. 3) They have no way of knowing what vehicles are available or have 4wd. 4) ******************** would now need to call and set up a new rental at another location, which he couldn't guarantee would be able to help me either. After getting nowhere with ***** I called back and spoke with ****** in customer service who apologized for everything and assured me I would be receiving a call from a supervisor that day to take care of anything, which of course never ***********;DR:Extremely unprofessional, no customer service. Unethical. Find another rental company.Review fromJanelle J

1 starI went online to enterprises website and reserved a vehicle, and even received an email confirming my reservation. I had a friend go out of his way to bring me to enterprise. When I arrived and approached the counter I explained that I had reserved a car and was there to pick it up. ****** (possibly hispanic with a nose ring) said we dont have any cars I said what do you mean? I already booked it. To which he replied again we dont have any cars. I pulled up the email confirming my reservation and showed it to him and he said thats great, but we still dont have any cars with a super rude tone, and provided no explanation. I was dumbfounded. Again I asked how can you confirm a reservation if you dont have any cars? He turned and gave his coworker a look that implied I was an idiot, and he said theres no other way to explain it, we dont have any cars I asked if he was a manager and he said no, I asked to speak with his manager and he waved his hand in a direction and said the manager is outside. So I took my son who was already upset as he is mentally disabled and incapable of understanding what is happening, and headed out in the direction he had motioned toward. I found the manager. He did end up getting a car for me, and he was a lot more understanding. I do appreciate his help but Im still beyond aggravated that they would confirm a reservation for a car they dont have, and that ****** was so unbelievably rude. As far as Im concerned any company who would allow an employee to treat their clients that way isnt a company Id like to do business with. Taking care of a child with special needs is hard enough as it is, but leaving a mother and special needs child stranded 40 miles from their home is inhumane. My suggestion for you as a client, dont use enterprise. My suggestion for enterprise, get rid of ****** he isnt worth the paper his check is printed on, and DO NOT reserve vehicles that you dont have. I cant even believe I have to say that.Review fromJustin S

1 starTheir driver ran a stop sign and totalled my vehicle injuring me. I had possessions damaged and depreciation on my vehicle that SGI won't cover. I have tried contacting Enterprise for some sort of reimbursement multiple times and they won't respond.Review fromClarence G.

1 starSTAY FAR AWAY! We rented a vehicle in February, yes February. I'll start off with the *** A*D CO*TRACT WAS U*DER MY HUSBA*DS *AME and not O*CE did they speak with him to get authorization to speak with me to disclose his sensitive information nor have they spoken with him to advise they put him on a do not rent list due to a injury that happened to me by someone at the branch( have not been told who due to Enterprise keeping that info from me) I have it on recording that we could close out the bill on Sunday when we return so imagine our surprise when they asked for payment when we took it in to take off their insurance! I spoke that day again and whoever this gentleman that injured me didnt approach me once but twice but somehow i was the threatening one and somehow my husband is on that list which can affect his job if they really searched into it as he works for cars. I was permanently injured and the company is sadly making it look like a accident. *ow they are not returning mine our my husbands calls to remove him as nothing has been advised to him. *ow im forced to go another route and will be reaching out to the news station to tell my story which is embarrassing!! I would say stay away from the * **** location but it looks to just be Enterprise in general!,
