Im a dealer and purchased a 2019 F250 2/26/25. It was a green light guarantee with a 4.2 CR. A new car is 5.0. The vehicle showed up with a check engine light an oil leak and 4x4 didnt work. **** driving it back to the dealership from mechanic shop that does out inspections and repairs it stalled and wouldnt start. We called a wrecker and had it delivered to our dealership. We again reached out to Manheim. They sent an inspector to verify our complaint. He was unable to complete the inspection due to the vehicle not starting. Manhime told us we had three days to deliverit to their location in *********. This was 21 April and they gave us until the 24th. We shipped it in operable to Manhiem *********. after a week in *********, they confirmed the oil leak arbitration but said they need to inspect the vehicle for tampering since it was running it was sold and returned not running. Almost 2 weeks later they notified me that it needs a starter in two batteries as it wont start. They then tell me that the vehicle has gasoline in it and thats the reason it wont run. The vehicle was sold with a a tank of fuel in it, and we would never add fuel to a vehicle with more than an eighth of a tank of fuel. they are now insinuating we cranked it when it wouldnt start and even went as far as insinuating, we added gasoline to the vehicle none which are true. We put 40 to 50 miles on the vehicle when it was delivered to us back-and-forth to the Mechanic shop and inspection. I dont believe a diesel engine will run that far on gasoline before stalling. I would assume there are a lot of people cranked it until it wouldnt crank anymore and added gasoline, assuming it was out of fuel

I bought 2022 ****** Altima 2.5 S ***************** from Manheim **********. seller announce the airbag light and collision light repair completed. but when I received the car, the lights and codes are still on. manheim validate them after my arbitration. but manheim arbitrator surprisingly denied my arbitration. seller falsely claimed they already fixed the problems and mislead buyer, why manheim help seller and encourage the false statement ? since the problems are not fixed, seller should not claim it

      Business Response

Manheim ********** has concluded that the seller clearly listed and disclosed the collision avoidance issues with the vehicle.  Also, during a One Guard inspection at ****************'s facility, they were unable to duplicate any transmission issues.  The vehicle was clearly listed with pictures on the Condition Report showing substantial damage to the front bumper which defines Nissans reasons for the announcement.  Manheim New Jersey stands firm in their decision regarding the outcome of the arbitration claim.

I purchased a 2014 ****** Crosstrek on March 6th 2025. I had paid for a post sale inspection on this vehicle and it had passed. I had paid for this vehicle to be towed from the state of Atlanta to ************* to our dealership. Our first inspection of the vehicle it had manheim arbitration stickers on the windows of this vehicle. This led to us to realize that this vehicle was already arbitrated at a manheim location and returned. During our mechanical inspection we had found some kind of silicon on the engine with a crack near trying to hide a major oil leak. The leak/ crack is on the timing cover and the valve cover gasket. We are in arbitration of this vehicle for this major engine issue. Prior to bringing this vehicle to a manheim location I had provided many photos and was told to bring the vehicle to a local manheim for inspection and that it would be approved with no question and that they would reimburse me for the transportation. I spoke with the arbitration team and they did not like the way I worded my arbitration claim and I can't arbitrate this vehicle because of this. How does a vehicle have two major engine issues and be overlooked by a *** team? I spent over a 1000 dollars having this vehicle towed all over the country and we are simply looking to arbitrate and return the vehicle for the major engine defects. Please help me with this claim and do the right thing to allow me to return this vehicle. I appreciate your help. Thank you,******* ***

I am rejecting this response because: I have never been contacted by Atlanta Manheim regarding this issue. I Had paid for a tow company to drive to Manheim *********** to pick up the ****** I had purchased. When the tow company had arrived the employees at told the *** company that he vehicle was at a local ****** Dealership. On 4/8/24 I had spoke with a Manheim representative named ****** ******* and addressed my concerns. I had spent money on towing this vehicle from Atlanta to our dealership in ****** ma and then to Manheim ***********. I have received zero communication from Atlanta Manheim and Manheim of ***********. The employee ****** from Manheim new England said he would looking into reimbursing my Dry run to the auction on 4/8/25. I have emailed the following employees at Manheim Atlanta  and called leaving voice messages. I have never been contacted by email or phone call since 3/15/25.  This vehicle was purchased on 3/8/25. It has been over a month and this arbitration has not be settled not have I received a phone call or email back from this company. It truly is disappointing. We been doing business with Manheim auctions for almost 15 years.
Emails for employees I have contacted at the auto auction with no response.

The vehicle I am referring to is the following:2012 ****** GT-R VIN# ***************** I will also be attaching the proof here. When I purchased the vehicle it was green light with NO ! Structural damage announcement. Upon an inspector checking it at Manheim - Riverside same company as ****** (MANHEIM). He found multiple issues with the body which included substantial structural damage and bent chassis parts. I need my money refunded !!

      Business Response

      Date: 03/28/2025

Mr. ******* purchased the unit from Manheim Nevada and arbitrated for mechanical defects, in which he accepted a $1,000 adjustment from the seller. The vehicle was not arbitrated for structural damage. Also, once he accepted an adjustment, he is keeping the unit "AS-IS" and it cannot be arbitrated again, with the exception of title or mileage Issues. Due to Mr. ******* never arbitrating for structural damage and accepting an adjustment to keep the unit, he has no further grounds to arbitrate.  The structural damage concerns were not brought to Manheim's attention until 20 days after the sale, which was well past the ******************************************************** previously opened an arbitration claim for mechanical.

In accordance with NAAA and Manheim policies, the outcome of the arbitration claim will remain the same.

I am rejecting this response because:

Why would I arbitrate for structural damage initially if I am not an expert in checking for that. This drops the value of the vehicle by ALOT !!! Structural was never mentioned and the ** was manipulated ! Even the ** writer at Manheim - Riverside said it himself: This unit should never have received a 4.3 !! Considering the damages that any ** write should be able to identify when checking the vehicle !!! If it was something small I wouldnt be arguing however when it goes from a 4.3 to a 1.3 a drop of 3 complete points is massive ! Especially with a structural damage present on a unit costing close to $60,000.00 is excessive !!! We are not talking about a cheap car here ! I will be pursuing this legally in district court considering the amount is too high to proceed in small claims !

      Sincerely,

I recently bought a vehicle from MANHEIM (3 weeks ago) the unit had a 4.3 CR and NO structural damage !! I then put it myself back into the sale and they grade it a 1.3 CR with structural damage !! Nothing was done to the car literally was even cleaned and waxed. Why is it that they added all these remarks ? Were they lying to me before just to make a sale ? If so I need my money back since structural damage was not announced or noted !!!! If not they will need to fix the *****

I bought 2023 ******* Elantra SEL ***************** from manheim. upon receipt I find the apron underlying the left fender is kinked and bended. I open a structural arbitration on manheim and have the car towed to manheim ******* for inspection. manheim denied my claim and told me the fender bracket is broken although I repeatedly told them they need to open the left fender and check the underlying apron. But manheim ******* denied my request. I don't understand why manheim refuse to do it. the left fender is loose. they just need to spend 1 second lifting up the left fender and then they can clearly see the structural damage with kinked apron.

For any vehicle listed and sold on OVE and facilitated through a Manheim auction, the Seller must make the vehicle available at the listed pickup location within three (3) business days of the sale date. In addition to other arbitration remedies OVE or the Buyer may invoke, the Seller may be assessed a fee of up to $500 to compensate the Buyer for each sale not fulfilled, which fee will be passed on to the Buyer.

The Seller, in this case, ******************** did not make the vehicle available to the Buyer to pick up, therefore ******************** was assessed the $500 vehicle availability fee.  Manheim California has discussed the vehicle availability policy with ******************** on several occasions, and the fee remains unpaid by the Seller.

I had an issue with a unit I purchased on Manheim - OVE. It was announced as Green Light - Guaranteed meaning the vehicle was good as far as the drivetrain etc. initially I made a claim and opened an arbitration since when I personally went to pick up the unit myself the vehicle would not turn on, unlock nor would it respond at all. I left it at that and was then contacted by Manheim and told that the owner had got the car to charge and it was ready to go. Besides the fact that I had already driven 115+ miles the first time to pick it up I said ok I will go the following day to see if it in fact was ready to go. I arrived there and the front end of the vehicle was torn off and electrical connections exposed. It didnt sit right with me but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and take the vehicle. I drove home and parked it and left it at that. The next day I decide to drive the vehicle to get a car wash on it and it completely stops working and leaves me stranded. No response to the vehicles shift feature at all. This occurred on 03-01-2025 (Saturday) since I am still within the arbitration period for a vehicle bought on OVE I message the prior arbitration specialist and they failed to respond to me. Not only was I stranded but I was also in the middle of the road, unable to drive the vehicle at all nor shift into any gear due to an extremely bad failure. I provided both a picture and a video for proof. I knew this vehicle was bad since the beginning and now that caused me to be stuck and lose my entire work day and have to spend hours there waiting for a tow truck to come pick the car up and myself. This unit goes against **** guidelines (Green light announcement) and I need this unit to be refunded to me and un-wind from my account in fairness.
