      I would give this place zero stars if I could. I have had to use the parts warranty of things I have gotten replaced with sun devil more times than anyone should in just a matter of 8 months of getting them replaced. At this point, just about everything that seems to be going out on my car are things I have had paid to have replaced with them. I am then forced to have to go back to them to refix the problem under the warranty of the parts. Previously I took the vehicle in to get something in my fuel pump looked at and while in their possession broke a piece off which made my check engine light come on, they called an admitted they broke the piece, I asked them if they panned on fixing the part they broke at no cost because I did not drop the car off with a check engine light on and I had emissions a month later. They fought me on it and said even though they broke it, they believe I should still pay for the labor to replace the broken piece because they have to take time out of their day to do it. This place is extremely unprofessional. Just recently I had to have my CV axle replaced again after getting it done with them 8 months ago. Immediately after picking up the vehicle I started to feel a aggressive shake while driving, so of course I brought the vehicle back to them with this concern because this would not be the first time they gave me my vehicle in worse condition then how I brought it in and I told them it started happening immediately upon picking it up from them and I would appreciate if they could look over their work and see if something went wrong.

      We used Sun Devil Auto ONE TIME, and now they constantly ******* us with mailings. We have spoken to 9 different people over the past 10 months who all promise to remove us from the mailing list, but the next month we get yet more mail. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU RESPOND YOUR PRIVACY - THEY ARE EITHER SELLING IT TO THIRD PARTIES WITHOUT PERMISSION, or they will simply refuse to remove you from their mailing list even after telling you they will.

      They swapped out my brand new battery for a different model battery that didnt work these people are thiefs do not bring your vehicle here.

      In February of 2023, I took my GMC Yukon to Sun Devil Auto in ********** because I was hearing a ticking noise when I would first start the vehicle in the morning. They determined that I needed over $5000 worth of repairs to fix the vehicle. I told them to go ahead with the repair. About a week later they called and told me that they had to do another $2700 worth of repairs to complete the job. Being this far into it, I felt I didn't have a choice but to approve this as well. It took them about 2 weeks to fix the vehicle and I also had to rent a car for this time. The shop manager said they had to rebuild the entire engine and it will be good for many years to come. About 2 days later the check engine light came on and the engine started running rough. Now they determined that another $700 worth of repairs was needed. After picking up the vehicle, I was hoping that this would be the last time I needed any engine repairs for a long time. I thought wrong. I drove my vehicle back to *********** and immediately started seeing a bunch of oil in my garage and driveway. My son owns an auto repair shop so I took it to him to see what was wrong. Both the top and bottom oil pans were leaking. He and his service manager contacted Sun Devil auto and they said to call the warranty company. Sun Devils warranty company said that the repairs are not covered by the warranty and that the vehicle needed to go back to the repair facility. That is **** miles away! Sun Devil made absolutely no effort to make this right and the manager pretty much quit returning any phone calls for weeks. Finally the district manager for Sun Devil was contacted and after a few days he agreed to pay for the repair of $1,345.01. This process took almost 6 weeks. Then it took another month to get the reimbursement check and they short paid the invoice by $245.01! Multiple emails by my son and his manager asking for an explanation went unanswered. Very disappointing experience.

      ******************** WARNING BEWARE *************************** DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICE HERE ********My 77 year old mother brought her car in to get the fuel pump replaced and the rear shocks. They told her it would cost her $1595. I contacted my mechanic shop Carsmart in Mesa and told them what they wanted to charge my mother. Carsmart quoted me $567 for the same service. Since they haven't done any work yet on my mother's vehicle I asked them what it would cost to cancel the repairs. They wouldn't let us cancel saying they already ordered the part and cannot return it. I asked for the breakdown in cost. They charge $604 for the fuel pump and $175 for diagnostic fee and over $350 for labor $350 for rear shocks and taxes. I looked up on Autozone to see what they charge for parts $200 Fuel Pump with lifetime warranty and $65 for the rear shocks with lifetime warranty. Spoke to Manager **** and the District Manager ***** and they are in cahoots so don't bother talking to management. Just know they will charge you $175 diagnostic fee even if you get the work done with them. All other shops I know will waive the service fee if you get the service done with them but NOT SUN DEVIL AUTO. Please do the math and research before you get any kind of service done here. Check online with Autozone for parts because they will charge 3 to 4 time the amount. If you are a senior citizen they will take advantage of you more counting on you not knowing any better. THIS PLACE WILL ABUSE SENIORS OR TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM 100%.

      My ac compressor just went out. I called and asked what it would cost for a new compressor flush the system replace desiccant filter expansion valve new seals and recharge the system. The guy proceeded to say that he did think the compressor was the problem kept asking are you sure are you sure. Repeating yes I am sure. I know what Im talking about I use to be a mechanic I just dont have the time to do this myself.. I am not an idiot and I dont appreciate being treated like one. Failure to listen to your customers lost my business.

      CONSUMER BEWARE - Sun Devil Auto - ***************** Heights in ******************** My 78 year old Father in Law took his car into Sun Devil Auto last week just to get an AC charge. Sun Devil not knowing he use to be a mechanic and knew exactly what his car needed, tried to charge him over $2,000.00. Told him he had a leak in his water pump and compressor and need a complete cooling system flush. Of course, he declined. My husband made him an appointment at ************ for a diagnosis and a dye test...guess what...no leaks just needed a coolant charge $230.00 later. Exactly what my Father in Law told Sun Devil. Thank you @Big2Toyota for your honesty and not ripping off someone just cause of their age!!!!Edit: I forgot to mention, when my FIL declined service from Sun Devil, he got his car back and AC didn't work at all anymore. When he drove in it worked, just wasn't blowing cool enough for him.

      I sent in my camaro to get it checked out for a clink making a left turn. They found that it was a lower control arm and quoted me ****** we declined because the part is 200 so there is no reason for us to pay that much. So they decided to s**** up my car more. I drive it home and it's clunking extremely loud just going straight. They loosened our sway bars in reubuttle. We used to think of them as a nice store, and have 5 cars they could be maitencing for easy money. Now they have ****** me off and lost their self on income. What a s***** compay with a scummy way of running business. I wouldn't touch that company with a 10ft bar anymore.

      I have been going to the ********** SunDevil (#****) Auto Shop for 15 years. I have always been pleased with the many services made to my 2008 automobile and especially with the customer **********************. No More! It seems there has been a management change as well as an entire new crew of mechanics. I took my car in as the engine splash guard was drooping low to the ground. They removed the splash guard and informed me that the center bracket broke in half and would need to be replaced. Then they looked it up and told me that because it wraps around the radiator, the radiator would have to be removed and then replaced, the entire cost would be approximately $800.00! I told them to leave the splash guard off and could they secure the broken piece to keep it attached. The manager on duty told me he could not do that and I should take it to an auto body shop! The past management and mechanics would have helped me out right there! I left and went right across the street to *******************. They put the car up and within 20 minutes had secured the broken piece with a bold and two sturdy zip ties! And did not charge me a cent! Well, this is now my place of service. Sun Devil could take lessons on how to treat their customers from this establishment!
