      Last week I called Terminix about an animal caught in our chimney. They sent out ******* whose service area is ***********************. She diagnosed a bird and that it would eventually find its way out. In the mean time we mentioned we had mice invasion in our garage, but after finding their entry point and sealed the gap, no further problems. She then inspected our home and garage and suggested as a "preventative measure" to install a metal band below our cedar shakes around the entire perimeter of our home and garage at a cost of more that $4000. Since we were concerned about the aesthetics and cost, we passed on that offer. She then suggested an alternative: apply a "special caulk" around the ENTIRE perimeter of the house and garage.. She said that her team of three workers would take "the better part of the day" to finish the job. The cost: $2600. We agreed.The Terminix team of three men Camden the next day and completed the job in 60 minutes! No perimeter application was done. All they did was fill a few holes with "special steel wool" and repaired two vents. When asked why they didn't do what we had expected, their reply, "it wasn't necessary."This is clearly a **** by Terminix ******* on a 70 and 80myear old couple.I complained to the company without any response. She must be working on commission. My credit card will hold up payment. ***** ****** and ***** ****** Cape *********, ME

      We hired Terminix to get rid of rats in our attic. When given the exorbitant quote ******* husband asked for a moment to speak privately. The lady just sat and stared at us. We were given no contract to read over and just told to sign here. What we believed we were paying for was, insulation and ALL rats sucked out of our attic, sanitizing, new insulation (that was supposed mixed with a rat deterrent) then they would seal up the spots the rats were getting in. Turn out all that is in the contract is insulation *********************** The morning of the service the crew was sent to the wrong address & was arguing with me they they were there.The insulation removal crew was nice, but they did not remove all of the rats. When the crew came go blow in insulation the sanitation job lasted about 1 minute, if it was done at all. They claimed they did, but my husband was watching the whole time and never saw any type of cleaner. They blew in the bare minimum when we had our attic full of insulation. If they werent going to replace the amount they took out we should have been told upfront that they do the bare minimum. No rat entry way points were sealed. That night we heard many rats in our attic. When we called it took a week to head back from anyone. We called multiple times. Mind you, they first came out within 4 days of me originally calling and were very responsive. When they came back out the boss admitted to us that the insulation has NO rat deterrent. They did a fast shoddy job and left. My husband had to kill the rest of the rats himself. We still have rats. We choose to go with Terminix because they claimed to have awesome rat deterrent insulation, they would sanitize and seal up all the entry points so we no longer had rats. We owe thousands of $$ and are having the same problem as before they came. Probably worst because with less insulation our entergy bill goes up. THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND A HORRIBLE COMPANY.

      Had wasps that I needed taken care of. Wasps like to get into these cinder blocks that sit around the edge of the driveway as a retaining wall. I figured the guy would have picked up the concrete slabs (like I did an hr ago full bee suit and all) but nope he just sprayed around the outside of the wall. I watched him on my door camera because I wanted to look and see if he was actually taking care of of them. He said he was going to to dust. He also put on the REPORT that he used dust, HE NEVER ONCE used any dust all. He was here for a matter of 20 minutes. So I get a first initial charge $220. Call me if you need me to come back any time yeah okay bud. This has to be the worst extermination company Ive ever seen. You want me to continue to pay another $150 quarterly for WHAT? To spray around the areas NOT TREAT A THING. And then leave??? Oh we include mice and ants too.. thats great, I dont want you stepping foot in my house. The fact that I cant get a refund because he came and gave the first service is atrocious. Call yourself a company, just one giant scam, paying people who dont have a clue what there doing to do a job that is sometimes crucial to have knowledgeable help. Shameful.

      Terminix is a scam.I had a one-time service done. I declined all future services at that date. I have the contract from them saying that. Every time I got a Terminix call, I told them I didn't want their services and to stop calling me. A year after the initial date, I got an email saying they were billing me for ongoing services. I called the date I got the email. They said I had a service agreement with them. I denied that and told them to cancel everything. They did so. THe next day they withdrew the money anyway. They were kind about setting up a refund; however, it is going to take 3-5 days. They gave me 24-hour notice of an account I never wanted and never used but won't refund my money for 3-5 days.

      tl;dr: Atrociously scummy company. Will never recommend to anyone, and would even go so far as to suggest anyone using them stop. Repeated no-call no-shows, unhelpful customer support, and confusing (at best) or malicious (at worst) contract verbage.----Appears to be breaching their own contract.Cancelled my service early, and paid out the Early Termination Fee (described in my contract as the remaining balance of my initial term). That ended up being short by ~$20 due to some error within retention, or the customer service reps. ***** I'd be content to pay this, as the math checks out.HOWEVER, they're now demanding an additional $180 on top of the missing $20 as the "early termination fee", even though that's not what is in the contract I signed, and would result in me paying significantly more than the initial term balance.

      If terminex is trying to sell you something they will be at your house before they get off the phone. But they dont show up for appointments, they dont have managers return calls. And they are of no help when you call customer service

      This company provides ineffective customer service. Their sales department employees are not a contract specialist, and they do not discuss the ramifications for terminating the contract for ineffective services being provided. This company is all about money and not customer satisfaction.

      I've been a loyal Terminix customer, trusting their protection plan after an inspection in August 2024 declared my home termite-free. However, I later discovered clear signs of termite activity in an area the technician had overlooked. The branch acknowledged the oversight but initially offered only a $1,700 credit towards the $8,600 fumigation cost, essentially refunding what I'd already paid without fully addressing the issue.?They attributed the problem to a "pre-existing condition," contradicting their original report. Had they identified it during the initial inspection, I could have addressed it earlier and potentially avoided further damage.?After expressing my concerns, the branch manager, ****, contacted me and proposed a 50/50 cost split for the fumigation, requiring me to pay approximately $4,300 out-of-pocket. I accepted this offer and requested that the two previously treated gazebos be included in the upcoming service. As of now, I'm awaiting confirmation on the inclusion of the gazebos and the scheduling of the fumigation, which is crucial for arranging temporary accommodations for my family.?Despite the earlier oversight, I continue to trust Terminix due to their strong reputation and generally positive customer feedback. I appreciate their willingness to address the issue and hope for a satisfactory resolution soon.

      Do not I repeat do not use this company called them out last July 20 24 for a termite issue had the inspection. He said we did not need to tent they could do another treatment paid $1500. That would take care of my termite issue here it is May 2025 termites are back full force Thank you no problem. Its under warranty. Spectre comes out today to tell me now its a different type of termite they want to charge me another $1900 for treatment supposedly a discounted rate and to maintain I have to pay $450 a year on top of the 250 for the previous treatment I had my problem is the same complaint I had in July is the same complaint. I have now the same termites no change and the treatment did not work. And then the inspector tells me that it would never hold up in a quart because the contract clearly states they treated me for drywall termite.OK, wow the problem I was having last July thats what the *** said needed to be treated now Im having the same problem and shes telling me its a whole different type of termite not only did they do this to me they did the same exact thing to my niece who lives in *******

      If I could give zero stars I would.I called to cancel my termite service on 3 March. Instead of canceling me, they reinstated my contract, sent me a bill for -more-than a full year of service all at once. and marked it PAST DUE.Obviously, not wanting this to affect my credit, I called immediately on the 31st, and was assured I would receive an immediate call back from the regional **************** as the agent could not solve the issue.Not receiving any call, I called every single day through 4 April trying to get someone to call me back. On that final call, the customer service agent I spoke with was magically able to cancel the account, or in their lingo debt recall my account and send me an email stating that I did not owe them any money. And also promised me a call from the regional manager.I still have not received a callback, nor a final statement that proves that my account has been closed and the balance is zero.Not only would I not recommend the service because of this, but I am following through by contacting the ************************. Better Business Bureau, and whatever is left of the ************************************, but I am also contemplating contacting the ************** to lodge a charge of mail fraud. I have never dealt with a company, so absolutely unresponsive to solving a problem.For the record, however, every agent I spoke with (Ember, ***** ******** Fannie, ***** and ********) was helpful, friendly, and understood the issue. This is a complete failure of management.
