I made the mistake of getting a quote online. Now I get called multiple times a day and a salesmen shows up at my house once a week at dinner time to give me a quote in person despite me having a "no soliciting" sign in front of the house. I called to be put on their do not call, do not email, do not knock list. Let's see if that works. BE WARNED!!! DO NOT PUT YOUR INFO INTO THEIR SYSTEM ONLINE!! THEY WILL HARASS YOU!!TruGreen

I have found the "sales lead" in our system and double checked to make sure that his information is listed as a do not contact. Mr. ********** information is in our internal do not contact portal. It can take up to 30 days to full remove from our calling systems. *****Review fromJack B

They have borderline fraudulent policies about cancellation. Online they say you can only cancel by phone to confirm identity. On phone they take ages to answer, they did nothing to verify my identity, then said please hold while I cancel your account and only came back 8 minutes later.TruGreen

Good day Mr. ************** apologize about the issues you encountered while trying to cancel your trees/shrubs plan with us. I know how frustrating it is when time is not valued. Unfortunately, at this time canceling online or APP is not an option. Springtime is like Christmas for us; therefore, our phones are very busy. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. It is never our intent to have a customer feel as if we avoiding resolving their concerns. Our records indicate that we did process your cancellation request on 4/16/25 for the trees/shrubs plan. What will it take to restore the confidence you once had with us for your trees/shrubs needs?

Worst vendor I have ever dealt with. I cancelled service and they auto renewed anyway. They also said the yearly service would be 10 services over a course of the year. They provided 10 services over 9 months. Treatments also low quality. Company is a complete fraud. DO NOT USE!!!I have never filed a complaint about any other company. They are dishonest and sneaky.TruGreen

I was a customer for 4 years and the quality of the lawn care has gone down noticeably as of this year. The response from the customer service was unhelpful and upsetting which led to me cancelling my account and future services.TruGreen

I spoke with Mr. ******** today. I apologized for the frustration with getting the evaluation scheduled and done. I did cancel the free service call to do the evaluation of the lawn per Mr. ************** His account is fully canceled at this time, and he indicated he already has another company, **** stated there is nothing else we can do. I had a horrible experience with TruGreen. I spoke with an agent and signed up to have my front yard done only. They came out about 6 days later (Saturday)and canceled my appt stating my backyard gate was locked. I again, only wanted my front yard down, so that shouldnt have been a factor. I call, the *** says well come back out Monday. I said great, please make sure they know my front yard only. They sent me a confirmation for Tuesday on Monday so I was irritated but fine. Then Tuesday comes and I get a text later afternoon saying they will come Wednesday now. I called and said I needed it done today, it is raining on Wednesday and Saturday being canceled was their fault. So the *** reissues them to come out. Hour goes by I get a cancellation text stating my gate was locked and I need to reschedule. I have cameras and work from home- no one came by. So that must be their default lie to cancel your appt. I call and want to cancel. The *** convinces me to wait to talk to a manager. A specialist from their specialist team calls me the next day, not a manager. She says we will do first application for free and discount your other applications. She said she will personally call me Friday to make sure they came on Thursday. I receive a text with my appointment for the next day, Thursday. Thursday comes, I click on my appt link to see when the person will be out to find my appt canceled with no reason. I call and find out someone canceled my account completely. At that point I was so mad - I made sure they wouldnt charge my credit card on file (I hey require that) since they never did anything! They said it wouldnt (I will be checking constantly because I have absolutely no trust for them). I called up a new company and found out how overpriced trugreen is also. Its cheaper through the new company than it was with the free application and discount at trugreen. I would never recommend them.TruGreen

I opened a treatment contract with them in Summer of 24. I expressed concern regarding a Nimblewill adulteration in my KB/Feacue/Rye turf and was repeatedly assured over the phone that it was covered under my plan. They kicked that treatment down the road until Fall when they explained that it was too late in the season and too cold to treat it. In early Spring of 25. I was assured on three different calls to TruGreen that the Nimblewill would be treated in accordance with my plan, without additional expense; however, then the tech showed up for what was supposed to be the first treatment, I was told that the supervisor was requesting pictures to determine course of action. Once again I called TruGreen and was assured that Nimblewill was covered under my plan and that a manager from the ************** would call me at 11:00 am. Two days later, I had yet to receive that call and eventually was left a VM at 3:30 pm suggesting that NO Nimblewill was not covered for treatment. Conclusion: aside from basic fertilization, TruGreen will patronize customer over phone and never deliver what they promise. In addition, in early Spring of 25 (March) a highly questionable Lyme treatment I had paid for did not appear to have been dropped, despite service notes suggesting so and being billed for the service.TruGreen

TruGreen contacted Mr. ******** on 4/11/25 and apologized about the issues with the nimble will. TruGreen offered to have a Service Manager from the local service center to follow up by Monday 4/14/25 to confirm whether we treat for the nimble will. Mr. ******* contacted TruGreen via telephone and requested to cancel and be refunded the unused portion of his prepayment. It is never the intent of TruGreen to miscommunicate the plans we offer along with what is covered in our services. Unfortunately, this is a non-desirable grass type and is not treated by our standard program. While we do have products that we can apply, it would have to be a specialty application. Some of the cultural practices like aeration and seeding can help slow the spread and out compete it. TruGreen has made attempts to contact Mr. ******** to try and address any other concerns he may have regarding this matter. TruGreen welcome the opportunity of turning this experience around.

I can't give it a one-star. My yard has streaks where they missed coverage. TRUGREEN shows up without notification and does not leave a notice on the door about what service they performed. A neighbor whom I have spoken with has the same complaints. He says another neighbor has the same problems as the most recent application, TruGreen showed up 2 days early, did not leave me a doorhanger, and has not returned phone calls or texts. I had been quoted a price and was charged 3x the quoted price. This franchise is atrocious!TruGreen

If I could a zero I would. My lawn concerns were never addressed and i have asked several times to speak with a superivor since last Oct 2024 and still have not recieved any call back. Crab grass issue never resolved therefor the re seeing was fruitless. Still many barespos and paid over $3K for this???Horrible and over priced. If we could rate with zeros we would. We cancelled our service last year due to being unable to speak to a supervisor about our continuing lawn isues. However, even after cancelling they still sent techs to our property. After multiple phone calls and cancellation confirmation emails we believed that the service was cancelled.NOT. Today, a year later, they sent a tech out again. We were not home while he treated our lawn and left. We called again. We were told by their customer service *** that he could see the cancellation from last year, apologized and said he cancelled again for us.....I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that someone would call in the next ***** hours.....not call yet. Terrible service. Don't contract with them is you ever want to cancel.TruGreen
