  Missed my April 21st payment by three days and woke up to my truck being removed from my driveway overnight without any explanation. In constant contact with Peoples Bank collections department all day on April 24th to resolve the issue. I stated that my last payment was on time on March 21st, but they said it didn't count for March, claiming I was 62 days behind, not 3 days late, as I was supposed to be. They stated that they were unable to cash previous checks, but never communicated this to me or returned those checks so that I could resubmit them, as they had promised to do. I was given the option of making the payments plus their expenses, which they claimed I owed because they had repossessed the vehicle. I made their requested payments, but they changed the option to full pay off plus expenses after I submitted my payment. I was not allowed to get my personal effects from my vehicle when I found out who towed it. I showed up at ****** *** when they were on the phone with Michelle from People Bank and was told the same thing: that they had received my payment, and Terasa R. would release it when she got back from lunch. However, this did not happen as promised. I was not able to retrieve my prescription medication or work equipment from ****** ***. I was hung up on four times by Terasa throughout the day. What I said to them did not matter, as I know I was late on the April payment but physically dropped checks off at the Norton Branch on time previously each month due to mailing them in prior and getting charged late fees because I was sending them to Marietta as I received no payment book or letter from Peoples Bank. ****** *** did not acknowledge me when I showed up to pick up my stuff, they handed me my payment receipt to Peoples bank and my credit card I left to pay any fees if they assed any that Peoples did not inform me of.

  Wouldn't help me stop payments to my account. Account is in the negative and nearly $150 is from them alone and they refuse to help saying there is nothing they can do. Absolutely trash bank company.

  I been with peoples bank in cambridge ohio for 7 years never had a issue until someone hacked my account. I went through the fraud department and even went in the bank myself to handle my business. They were nothing but unprofessional laughing at me because I had no idea what was going on cause they locked my account and then come to find out someone use mobile deposit to put money In my account which I don't know how to do. I did the signing of my name and my name didn't match up with the writing on these checks. I went through this for 3 days and they were nothing but rude calling my fiancee a pig him being heavy set and was nothing but rude with my daughter who was trying to help me. Fast forward 3 days of all this they took my social security which is what I live on and they even admitted to me that they know it wasn't me but they are taking my check and that they don't care if its all I live on and to borrow money to live this month. They are so rude and the lady told me they are giving me my check and that they will be calling me back up there once it's released but they waited until closing to call me and tell me they aren't releasing my check and they are taking it for the overdraft that I didn't even cause.

  Teresa R***** of Marietta Ohio branch is absolute miserable employee of this bank! I was working with her with a few late payments of my car loan because of being in school and just graduating. Now I am graduated and make decent money. Teresa communicated with me that I would have 90 days until they repossess my vehicle. On June 14th I wake up to go to work and she had it towed. When I called to see how to get my car back. She said I wasn’t even at my 90s day but pretty much repoed anyway even though I had an email letting her know I had other bills like rent due. She said as long as I stay in communication I wouldn’t get repoed but instead that was only a lie. Instead of just letting me know how to get my car back she ridiculed me of not being able to pay and that I couldn’t even make my next payment. (Which I can, luckily my fiancé is an amazing man). Never in my life have I been treated so poorly by a “professional”. When I asked to be transferred to the manager she declined (not allowed to do that but she did) and several times she hung up on me. So I just wanted to leave this review so it can help someone else in a hard situation!! DO NOT TRUST TERESA R***** FROM PEOPLES BANK MARIETTA OHIO! She will lie to you!

  I have dealt with two branches of this bank and I have to say it is the best that I have ever visited. No matter the amount of money in your account they treat you like a human being and don't act snobbish like many other Banks I have been to. The people who work there are very down to earth and kind. I currently bank at the horse Cave version and it is definitely my favorite.

  I have been with this bank for many years. I went to deposit a collision check. due to not have the other person on the check with me I had to call her in. no big deal I understand everywhere has policies. I did not pitch a fit or even question them. after the verification process was complete. Someone in an office (I am assuming) called the teller at the window (who wasn't taking care of me) and started questioning her about my situation. I didn't think much about it until I heard her say "well she only had (the amount of money) in her account" and continued discussing my personal business in front of everyone. They could have easily went to an office to discuss the matter. Not only is this unprofessional. It was also humiliating! This may not be all branches but the one on Emerson avenue always makes me feel less than!

  I bank at the Peoples Bank Flatwoods WV branch, it used to be ******* Bank. I have had nothing but trouble out of this bunch the overdraft fees are crippling. I cannot get anything accomplished over the phone; it's always you must come in for that. ******* Bank was so much better to deal with.
