Hello, my name is ******* ******* **** file number *** *** *** **** ***** *** **** ****. I am Making a complaint about service repairs That were not performed Completely on my I ride goat scooter. I have two dead batteries. I have had numerous complaints, and they address the complaints, but never really successfully completed the repair. Now they're telling me that my Pride Go scooter is out of warranty and refusing to replace my batteries stating that they replaced them already however there was no replacement done. That was confirmed by Steven, who was a service person there. He said, and I quote, these batteries are original batteries. I don't know where they came from, and they are out of warranty. They are not going to replace them. I've had numerous problems with this particular scooter from the second month after purchase, in which I purchased it in June of 2023. They have made attempts to repair this particular unit unsuccessfully, and I requested a replacement and was told that that would happen the next time that I had a problem or issue with this particular unit. The person that explained this to me is no longer with the company. His name is John and I believe that he was terminated due to negligence within the company and they are refusing to honor anything to help me. I am disabled and I depend on my scooter to transport me around my church, and whenever I get on my computer it shows a full charge, and then the battery dies within 15 or 20 minutes. I went to the zoo lights last Sunday using the scooter and it died after I was in the park at the zoo in Columbus for about 25 minutes, resulting in me being pushed in the scooter around the park. What an embarrassment that was.

We have been trying to work with Mr. ******* for the 1.5 years that he has owned the scooter.  We have been out to work on his device multiple times over the 1.5 years and have NOT charged him for the site visits (our usual service call fee is $125).  We have explained numerous times that the way his device is being handled and charged is the true problem.

We did give him a new set of batteries under the original warranty program - which lasts six months.  It's now 18 months in and he is still expecting free batteries again.  At this time, given the situation and his threats of legal action, there isn't anything else we can do to work with him.

I am rejecting this response because:

As it has already been stated, since the purchase of these items from Mobility City, I’ve had nothing but disappointment after disappointment with no resolution! Not just the scooter in question but, also the power chair that was purchased at the same time! As stated by this company they have been here several times which definitely should have been a red flag for me especially since each time was for power related issues! I have been using mobility scooters and wheelchairs since 1990 and, I have a Q6 that I bought used over a year ago and I have never had issues with them keeping charged for days at a time! I requested an exchange when I started having multiple issues with both devices. I was told by a ***** if I experienced another issue with these devices after he completed the last repairs that he would consider replacing them! So far I’ve had 6 attempts to fix the scooter and, 5 on my Power Chair here at work, and the Power Chair has none of the original parts on the joystick arm rest. Needless to say I truly feel ripped off to  say the least.

    Regards,

We had a chairlift installed on 10/17/24 that worked for one week and then stopped working. It took a week for someone to come out and replace the battery. It then worked for less than one week and stopped working. It took another week for them to say that they needed to order a new battery charger. It’s been three weeks and no new battery charger. My wife is disabled and needs this chair lift to function properly. Mobility City does not seem to care about their faulty equipment that they installed.

We have explained to the client that the charger was faulty.  We have been out to the client 4 times - at no charge - to help them with this - including setting up two extra sets of batteries to help provide utilization of the device while we worked thru the warranty process with the manufacturer.

As we told him last week, the part was ordered but shipping was slow during the holiday week.  The part is in hand and will be scheduled for install at their earliest convenience.
