MiroCenter appears to be confused ergarding communication methods. Email and texting is supposed to be there for the convenience of the customer. Telelphone numbers for individual stores have been removed from the website. I'm sure the overpaid CEO/CIO/CTO is patting themseleves on the back on how they have "improved" customer communication by not allowing customers to call in, and have "freed" microcenter employees from dealing with distracting situations such as talking to a customer. After all, there is a website where you can select whatever is in stock, pay for it and be done. What microcenter is missing is that there is more than one website you can order stuff without having to "bother "anyone by talking to them!!!Micro Center Computers & Electronics

I would rate this place 0/5 stars if I could. I brought my laptop in for them to figure out what was wrong with it, just for them to replace the motherboard and for me to take it home and immediately see that the problem was not fixed. I brought it back and they then determined it was the *** that was the problem in the first place, they then made me PURCHASE AN *** THROUGH THE STORE, even though the computer was under warranty. I then brought my computer back in for them to fix both of my shift keys and they claimed they solved the issue by simply cleaning them, just for me to take it home again and immediately see that the issue was again not fixed, and I dealt with it until I was available to bring it back in. I then came back to town to bring my computer back in for them to fix my shift keys, they made me pay a diagnostic fee even though I told them what was wrong with it, and they quote me with an absurd price for them to fix it because my warranty ran out and it was outside the store's policy for their 'warranted work' , even though this problem should have been discovered and addressed when I brought the computer in the FIRST time under warranty. It's almost like they knew my warranty was running out soon and wanted me to bring it back in just so they could charge me, just like the last time I went to them for service. The service department is clueless in identifying a problem and fixing it, I do not understand how they can return my laptop to me TWICE and when I take it home I immediately see they did not fix both issues TWICE. They clearly just want your money as everything is overpriced with them. I spoke with the general manager about my problems with the store and he said I needed to take 'ownership' in bringing my computer back in under warranty, no sir, YOU need to take 'OWNERSHIP' over your store's INEPT service work, all he tried to do was get money from me. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX COMPUTERS AND IS JUST A WASTE OF YOUR TIMEMicro Center Computers & Electronics

We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and share your review with us. We do apologize for the inconvenience. We understand the store offered to replace the keyboard for half the labor and cost on parts even though the unit is out of warranty. Please contact us at *********************************** if you have additional feedback you would like to contribute. Thank you.Review fromKelvin I

Today I made a online purchase at Micro Center to be picked up at the ****** location. Once I received the email I went to store to pick up items. This purchase was made with my affirm credit card. Affirm emailed me that my transaction went through. However, after getting to store I was aske to produce the card the purchase was mad with. I explained to the cashier that I had a virtual card. He sited the store policy and ask if I could put it in my phone card wallet. Well tonight I was having trouble with that. When I ask if I could speak to a manager I was refused. Tonight Microcenter lost out a $1100 purchase because they are not with the current times of digital cash. Due to the rudeness of the employee they lost my business as well.Micro Center Computers & Electronics

Hello, We apologize for your experience and understand it is frustrating when attempting to use Affirm for In Store ********* We are working on a solution to avoid future customer disappointment. Please check out our website at microcenter.com which displays the payment methods accepted. It also notes that a physical card must be present during the online reservation process. Again, we apologize for your experience. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.Review fromEthan R

Terrible **************** NEVER BUY WARRANTY I purchased an extremely high end gaming device ($3500+) from ********************** last year, including purchasing an additional warranty that covered accidental damage. The laptop hinge broke for indeterminate causes (possibly accidental damage, possible manufacturer warranty covered failure). The customer service dealing with their repair facilities is by far the most unacceptable and unpleasant customer experience you can have. First of all, you can't get ahold of anyone over the phone. Even the business card they give you with the new phone number doesn't work, it just rings for a bit then disconnects. They have a text message service, but they leave you on read any time it suits them for weeks at a time. They also did not properly provide me with an incident/ticket number when I dropped off my device for repair, and even when I came back in for a second time still didn't give me one, so I can't use their online chat support feature.I have a broken part on an *** display (a hinge piece). They've still not told me whether it's covered under warranty, they haven't said anything at all other than that *** is working on it. But it's been seven weeks and I do not even have an ETA.What's worst of all is that I wasn't going to buy this device, or the extended warranty but their sales rep talked me into it. I was concerned about build quality, and the rep assured me that the *** devices were top shelf. Here we are just a few months later and the hinge is broken. What's more, the sales rep failed to mention that Micro Center doesn't really have a good relationship with ***. I don't understand the details here but basically Micro Center isn't listed as a partner on any of ***'s materials (or vice versa).I think this store used to be great, I heard so many good things from my friends and network but honestly this has been horrible experience. I've yet to even hear from a service manager.Micro Center Computers & Electronics
