towed from my paid parking spot for being 'inoperable', was out for a day and car got towed. Car is in great condition and does not meet inoperable condition.

Your vehicle received a warning sticker that it would be towed if it wasnt moved in 24 hours. After the time expired we towed your vehicle because it still hadnt moved. When you came to pick up your vehicle the warning sticker was still there and you removed it while in our lot. Your vehicle wouldnt start (because it was inoperable and/or not being driven) and you had to bring another vehicle into our lot and spend almost 30 minutes before you were able to get it running. It was a legitimate tow because your vehicle was inoperable and hadnt moved in quite some time.

You towed my car from my reserved space, which I paid for being exclusive. This is not a visitor space that someone else allows to park. I am entailed to park on this space till my lease ends. You could have notify my landlord and my landlord can reach out to me. .You towed the car on a weekday, and deliberately chose midnight so no one would notice. The car is not on **** stands or missing body panels, and there is no way you can judge the car being inoperable as shown in pictures you took upon towing. ******* depletes battery quicker and I have jumpers in case of it happened. I've never heard of a dead battery being the reason for tow. Even it was dead, I managed to restart the car instead of towing it to somewhere else. I am not required to check my car everyday for notices as I'm not required to be home everyday. That is leasing office is for, my parking tag is properly displayed proving I'm the resident of the complex and reachable by the leasing office.

Your vehicle had not moved for an extended period of time. Both city and state codes define a vehicle as being considered inoperable if it has not moved in over ********************************************* considerably longer than that which is why the warning sticker was issued. The issue wasnt that you had a dead battery, which we would have no way of knowing about, but the fact that the car hadnt moved and wasnt being driven. Whether it runs or not is immaterial to code enforcement because they will cite the property owner (your landlord) if they see it. Your landlord doesnt want to get a ticket for your vehicle so they have us come through and remove vehicles that would be considered inoperable. We did issue a warning sticker prior to towing. Its not our fault that you didnt see it. We are simply doing the job that we were hired to do. If you arent currently driving an operable vehicle then you should move it around every once in a while so it doesnt appear broken down. If youre going to be out of town for an extended period of time then you should let your landlord know so they can avoid having it towed.

Your response completely ignores the fact that my lease requires a 48-hour notice before towing, and you only gave me 24 hours. That alone makes the tow improper. Also, your reasoning about the 72-hour rule is misleading. Columbus City Code ******* defines an inoperable vehicle as one that lacks valid registration, has missing parts, or is visibly unsafenone of which applied to my car. Just because it hadnt moved doesnt make it inoperable under the law.Ive already filed a formal BBB complaint over this, and Ill be escalating further if needed. If you want to resolve this, let me know. Otherwise, Ill continue pursuing other options.

A car with the wrong permit was parked in my spot which prevented me from using a spot that I paid for for the better part of 24 hours. Each time I called Hound Dogs, I was told someone would come look at it, yet nobody did and they lied about it. I talked with my leasing office about the issue before making 2 more calls after calling twice to begin with, yet no action was taken so I would be able to use the spot that I paid for. Lots of empty promises and lack of responsibility. When I emailed Hound Dogs about the issue calling them out about their behavior, I was called several names (entitled, pretentious, stupid) even though I have photos proving my side of the story as well as me actively waiting and checking on the progress for this issue. Sorry (not) for expecting a business to do the job they are paid to do. Normally I wouldn't get personal with stuff like this, but it was frustrating enough that I am. I know several people and have read well over 100 negative reviews about problems with this company. They need to remodel their business structure, get new management, or just close

Prompt and professional service! A random car was parked in my driveway overnight, blocking access to my garage. This prevented me from getting my car out and going to work. Hound Dogs responded immediately and resolved the situation. I would rate their service 10/10!

This is a bully company. Pull vehicles out of parking lots that are renting events spots. Has a sign for event parking and tries to scam people of money.

Well I never made it personal until today. Everyone has a business to run, I called to clarification @ 11:19 am today and the sweet lady on the phone said yes your niece can come get the car and take it up with the dealer because the car was towed but was and is still in my niece name( dealership mistake after repo. Later that day this big white lady gonna say your niece got her money back and it’s not her car. Yet the BMV said they never switched it out come get copy of documentation. They told several different stories but the good news my niece got her money back but because we have call app on our phone that records conversations we’re filing a civil lawsuit. She even stated on my call app that all she had to pay was another $54.90. So she doesn’t know the law very well, whether a lien or not it’s legally still in her name, and they sent the upsp documents to my house for proof. See you in court.

On 6/24/23, I went to Hound Dogs Towing to retrieve my car. When I was paying with card, she (ginger-haired white woman, above 5'1" (my height)) said she needed to check my name via ID to match the card. I obliged. However, instead of just checking my name, she scanned my entire ID into her computer. I told her i was not comfortable with this and thay this violates data security laws as I did not consent to them holding such personal information. This is especially true as my parents have been victims of identity fraud multiple times. She refused to redact information or remove my ID from their cloud system, which was likely not encrypted or properly secured. In an angry tone, she told me that she wouldn't let me leave with my car (gated exit) unless I showed her my car registration too. I did so in order to leave.

We’re required by state law to verify ownership of the vehicle and to keep records of who picked the vehicle up. We do this by scanning the vehicle owner’s identification into our secure database. We also do this to help curb fraudulent chargebacks. I would suggest parking legally next time so you don’t have to worry about it.

The laws also say verification not saving information. And if you do take and save I formation, there are required disclosures and noticed that were not provided. Had I not noticed what the storefront was doing, I wouldn't have known what was being done.

Can you give 0 stars and still do a review? Because that is what this company deserves for what they do. My truck was at Smyrna DE location. This company is full of thrives and liers. I see where it says that all trucks have forward and rear facing cameras that are always in operation when truck is doing toe. That would be very reassuring if it were true. LIES! As your company lies and steals off of the public that are already being extorted! That’s right extortion! And thrives THEY STOLE 1000 cash and the 1000 TRUCK BED COVER OFF MY TRUCK THAT IF THEY RECORDED AS I DID THE TOW IT WOULD SHOW THE COVER ON THE TRUCK AT TIME OF TOW AS MINE DOES. THIS WAS DENIED BY THERE STAFF OF LIERS. LETS SEE WHAT THE STATE POLICE THINKS ABOUT IT ALL. Criminals!! IN EVERY SENCE OF THE WORD. I HOPE YOU TRY AND REPLY TO THIS POST! PLEASE REPLY

We are located in Columbus, Ohio and do not do any business in the state of Delaware. There is another company that only does repossessions there that is called Hound Dog’s Recovery. It is a completely different company and is not affiliated with us at all. Please remove this review and post it to the correct company. Thanks.
