1 starI ordered a 9 4E Florsheim sneaker on 3/8. Nothing too crazy, right? ****, DSW sent me a 10 4E instead. Fine, I let them know, sent it back, and awaited the correct size. INSANELY, they sent me the same wrong shoe 10 4E the second time as well. I thought hey thats the worst bad luck and spoke to a Russian dude in customer service who assured me a 9 4E was forthcoming. Guess what I got today? THE THIRD WRONG SIZE WRONG SHOE: AGAIN A 10 4E. Maybe Im being unfair but my take is that DSW IS THE WORST SHOE PLACE EVER, SO DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. 1 starI have purchased many shoes over the years with DSW including for my family. Normally, my store location does not have my size available, so I ordered them online not knowing if they would fit right. Sometimes I would order 2 pairs of similar comfortable flat shoes at the same time cause the fit are different between brands. I would keep one and return the other due to not fitting correctly. The last pair of shoes ordered online on 11/11/24, I was sent a used dirty pair of shoes. I returned them to the store, explained why I was returning them cause they were a used dirty pair, and the clerk keyed the return as "changed mind" Then she needed a Manager's approval since I was now flagged as a "problem returner" according to their records. The "Manager" was no help when I was trying to understand why I received a VERBAL FORMER WARNING in front of other customers in line. I ordered their "Retail Activity Report" which indicated since 2022, I returned 5 pair of shoes (which included the dirty used one on 11/11/24). 5 returned shoes, keyed incorrectly by the store as "changed mind" compared to the numerous shoes purchased and kept. Because of the store's error, I am now on their 'bad list' of returning shoes that don't fit or the dirty shoes sent to me. I tried calling their customer service number, had a bad connection, and was advised not to return shoes in the store. I called DSW Retail Equation phone number on my return receipt and all that I received from the representative was a scripted machine like verbal Formal Warning AGAIN and that I may not be able to make returns in the future. I tried calling the store again to speak with the Store Manager, and the auto response would not provide an option to speak with anyone in the store. I have not experienced anything like this with any another retailer. Thanks for making a 70 year old feel like a criminal and I will not purchase anymore shoes from DSW.Review fromAmerika S

1 starMy guess sneaker boots order number ending in 3302 was stolen I called fed ex to see where was my package they said it was delivered but give us until end of day so I waited until monday to call dsw because I was giving it a few day I talked to ***** didn't give a badge number because she the only person with that name that work there and i explained to her my package been stolen and I have a police report she replies and say we'll this the second time your package went missing so you have to contact your bank to dispute this transaction which is crazy to me because I would have to wait 7to 14 days for a new card I wasn't even asking for a refund I just wanted a gift card or credit the account or something so I asked to get transferred to someone else so pearl the supervisor with no badge number because once again she the only one with that name there siad the same thing but a made police reports both time an either time yall asked me to email yall the report nor yall didn't investigate yall just say dispute the transaction with your bank so what was the point of yall telling to make a police report if yall don't want to accommodate the customers just charge an insurance fee like most online businesses and this leaves very nasty taste in my mouth in I just or 3 more pair of shoes from yall the day before calling ***** and pearl i shouldve waited to buy more shoe but this will be my last purchase I make to dsw and I been a customer and elite member for yearsReview fromSally B

1 starI ordered shoes online that said same day pick up in store. We go to pick it up, and they say the items are sold out and I needed them that day because it was a present for my kids. They said it was sold and wasnt. Now been dealing with my order for a week now !!Review fromKelly R

1 starOrdering shoes on this site is bad news! I spent ***** (with sale plus $10 rewards I had from in-store purchases). I never imagined ordering online from DSW would be so SKETCHY! I received a very obviously USED and dirty and broken in pair. If I want to order shoes not available locally, Im going to order from Zappos - NOT here. So bad! Purchased a pair of shoes 2 weeks ago online and they came used so I went to the store to return them. The following seeking I ordered a different pair and they again came used. I went to the store to return this pair. I asked the sales associate do you sell used shoes and she said yes. I said but I purchased new I wasnt given a choice of new or used. I will never buy shoes there again. How are they allowed to deceive customers like that?Designer Brands Inc.

1 starBelow is my complaint and the store online oversold the amount of shoes the distributor had to make a quick buck and have their customer service reviews come crashing down with scenarios like mine and other that seem to be very current. I was hoping to get my wedding shoe here to save and get something of decent quality for the price. I called in to explain the below email I also sent customer service and they simply told me their distributor ran out and the shoe is sold out. I bought it over a week ago and was given no notice. Very disappointing, I was hoping to wear these shoes on my wedding day. I also read a review below on the *** Discount and I too was not able to use it so it was a sikeout promotion to keep you on their website and convert you as a customer.Hi,I went to what I thought was to pick up both my shoes I purchased online to find out one shoe was still "In Process" (************************************ Platform Sandal) and being delivered to your store. I thought, that is fine, I will pick up the ones that arrived and wait for the others to arrive. The check out associate confirmed to me that the *********************** shoe would be arriving soon today or tomorrow.I just checked my emails not even two hours later and the email says "Cancelled".It's really important to me that you fix the issue. I purchased these shoes for my wedding day.Not to add, the shoe that I was able to pick up was the wrong sandal than what I ordered - it had no pearls, so I'm lucky I checked before walking out to tell the associate and she went to go get the one with pearls. 1 starJune 2024 - I returned an item in May 2024. On June 13, 2024 I called indicating that I had not seen a credit and the item had shown received by DSW on 5/29/24. The customer service rep. said that it looked like a credit wasn't issued, and that she would issue the credit. On June 30, 2024 I went on the Chat service and said I still hadn't seen the credit on my credit card statement and knowing there can be lag times, I asked them to vrify that the credit has been issued on 6/13/24. The Rep., Benjamin, said that he issued the credit and I would received an email confirming within 24 hours and the credit would appear on my credit card statemeent within 3-5 days. I said this wasn't good enough and that I needed a reference number of something as I'd been told this before, but he wouldn't budge. I asked to talk to a Manager, and he said he couldn't give out that information. There is something very wrong with this picture and makes me thing DSW is having financial trouble.Review fromJen L

1 starZERO stars, customer service and manager are a joke I have called a ****** back 20 times with no answer but the 3 times she called me she left a voicemail so very rude. I paid for overnight shipping on Monday and now my order is going to arrive 3 days later on Thursday.. I was told I was refunded however the funds are NOT refunded. I need assistance from a polite customer service rep however it seems impassable.
