I moved in on 10.14.22. My apartment is infested with roaches, bed bugs, and carpet beetles. After a week, they came out off the carpet and other places. I contacted management on Monday, and they said someone would be out on Friday. It's Friday, and he has not arrived yet. I went to the office and spoke to Deojane. Her number is 614-407-5516. She said she did not know when he would arrive. She did not say when she had last confirmed the appointment with the exterminator.

Hi ********! I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with this and want you to know that our team is working to get it resolved as quickly as possible. I spoke with the Property Manager at your community. She’s confirmed that management was made aware of the issue on 10/28/2022. A treatment was scheduled for as soon as our provider had availability and was able to provide the treatment, as the chemicals used in home treatments can interfere with professional treatments and adequate timing must be allowed between the two. A professional treatment was scheduled and completed on 11/4. To comply with health and safety guidelines for apartments that are currently occupied, the next treatment is scheduled for 11/8, and a followup for 11/21. The carpet and unit will also be cleaned once treated. We apologize again for the frustration this causes and want you to know we’re working to resolve it as quickly was possible. Thank you!

I am a current resident of Park at Blanding, c/o of Link Real Estate Group, LLC. in Orange Park, Florida 32073. I have been a resident for going on 3 years now and there are a bunch of issues that keep on getting over looked and done nothing about. I am extremely disappointed in the way that the property is being taken care of and the rent goes higher and higher and nothing is being improved or fixed. The gate at the apartment has been broken since I have moved in. The pool has been broken for about 3 months now due to "waiting on finding a pool cleaner" originally, to "broken door", "waiting on parts" "waiting on filter". The fence to the pool has been destroyed causing a safety issue which I assume means we won't be able to swim in the pool THE ENTIRE SUMMER. The gym has 2 of the 3 treadmills broken and is very unsanitary with cockroaches all over the place. We are paying VERY high rent prices that continue to grow and not getting the amenities that we are paying for. I have brought these issues up to the Leasing consultant, ***** ******** (who is basically the only employee and no other way to get ahold of the Link Real Estate Group, LLC) and her only responses feel like excuses. I feel like we are getting price gouged with no oversight or accountability. Rent has gone up from my $900 original rental price to $1400 this October if I resign, and the rent increase is the only thing that has changed in the neighborhood. I feel like I'm being robbed under the guise of "comparative rates" while nothing is getting improved, everything just keeps getting worse and they advertise a beautiful pool that isn't anywhere close to swim worthy all the while. Open the pool. Fix the gate. Fix the gym. Use the money you get from us and invest it in your property, stop stuffing your pockets and take care of your obligations. I'd like to get what I pay for thank you.

Hello *****! We're so sorry to hear you've felt your living experience is not up to standard. We work to create a great community and exceptional place to call home for each and every resident. While the Park and Blanding has had many recent upgrades to both interiors and exteriors over the last year, we completely understand your frustration with the delay in opening the pool. Like many business at the moment, our pool vendor experienced staffing issues and was not able to deliver services, requiring that we cancel our contract. We did source and contract with a new vendor and repairs and treatments took place for opening. Unfortunately, we had to wait for a health inspection appointment to become available and in this time, there was accidental, but significant damaged caused to the pool. At this time, we do not have an estimated reopening date or foresee that it will be in the immediate future. As repairs are made and we are able to reopen, we'll communicate this will our residents. We are working our hardest to resolve these issues and we appreciate your patience as we work to correct them!

[If you do not say why you are rejecting the company's response, BBB must close your complaint.]

      Complaint: 17466692

I am rejecting this response because nothing has changed and your "upgrades" only affect new residents, all others are paying more with nothing to show for it. I have heard nothing about the poor shape of the gym and if our money isn't being used to fix the pool, then it should be returned to the resident as a credit, not pocketed for the next year until you decided to hire someone to repair the gate. It shouldn't take a year for you to do your jobs and get everything fixed. :

      Regards,

      ***** *******

I’ve been without air conditioning for the last 2 months. I can’t even get an ETA on when my air conditioning will be fixed. The reps they have in the leasing office are extremely rude and insensitive to the fact that I don’t have air conditioning. They won’t even return voicemails. I even had a rep by the name of leticia(spell check) tell me it wasn’t an emergency. When it’s 90 degrees in my house it’s an emergency. They were more worried about putting asphalt on the parking lots. Instead of fixing the real issue.
