********************** is so awesome. As for his actual scheduling/financial staff ( ******) absolutely the most malicious person I've encountered in a while. ****** called to let me know that " I could not have my extremely important upcoming surgery next week unless I paid the doctor's out of pocket fee in full first ($1,416) or she will have to cancel my surgery per ************************** request, ******************* I asked ****** if there was any other option, I explained to her that I did not have that but I really need the surgery. ****** said that my only other option is to pay at least half ($708). After a few calls of trying to understand the situation, because I was previously told that my procedure was fully covered by my insurance. ****** called again stating that after she spoke with the surgery center, "I had to make a decision right now or cancel the surgery". I immediately broke down into tears (uncontrollably sobbing) and told ****** that all I have is my car payment, utility bill, and grocery money for the month and she states "so will you be paying $1,416 or $708? With credit card or debit?" I then told her that I will have to pay with 3 separate cards to pay the minimum $708. ****** again " you don't have any other option". 20 minutes after I paid the $708 I learned that it is already in the doctor's ****** system that my deductible will be met and I don't to pay any out of pocket expenses (I never had to pay the $1,416 or $708) the insurance company said that I never should have paid and not being able to pay the money that ****** said I had to pay would not have stopped me from getting the surgery. I was also told that I will have to wait until after my surgery next week to get a refund from ************************** ******. $708 may not be a lot of money for most people but for some people, it's survival. ******'s calculating prejudice now puts me behind on my car payment, a utility bill and I will have to figure out how to eat for the next 3 /4 weeks.

I had an 11:15 appointment for an open mri at the Upper Arlington location (45 minutes out of my way) because I have server anxiety attacks with closed mri. Upon arrival I was placed alone in a six seater small corner waiting room by myself for almost an hour. It’s sad that this is how they accommodate claustrophobic patients. I advise you to not go here for imaging if any special accommodation is needed because they are very bad

Recently had ACL surgery, PT, and consults at Ortho1 and was generally very impressed with everything. The surgeon was friendly, spoke informatively, took my questions and listened with empathy. Surgery day ran like clockwork and was very professional. My PT was caring and knew his stuff, and encouraged me to push as far as I could (was fearing PT would be painful at their hands; it was painful enough pushing myself, but that was fine because I can hit the breaks before shrieking lol). When it came time for follow-up appointments, they agreed a gym membership for leg strengthening made more financial sense than ongoing PT appointments at top out-of-pocket dollar. They again made me feel welcome and important, and answered my questions how to avoid trouble on the rest of my recovery. I would definitely have no hesitation recommending Ortho1 for ACL surgery/recovery.

I am writing this review after a lot of thinking. I have been here twice (2020 and 2022) and I have been disappointed both the times. The doctors do absolutely nothing, they take you to get your Xray and wont even touch you unless they see there is a chance of surgery/unless big money is involved. Yes, they ask you to get Physical Therapy from them only which will cost you a lot of money and they will charge you way more than what they share in the estimation sheet. They don't even explain how much is patient's responsibility, until you see the bill.On the top of that, they could not even determine what's wrong with me. The doctor even recommended me to take pain killers without even telling me what could be wrong. The doctor asked me to take Physical Therapy. I went downstairs to ask about the cost, the quote was within $225 and I got a bill for ~$350 for just one session. Very unprofessional. PS. I am not going to take the names of the doctors' or the physical therapy professionals' but this place is not professional. If you care about your money, avoid this place.
