      I was referred to Orthopedic One (*** ******** *** ******** ** *****) by my Doctor for a health issue. I called Orthopedic One to request a meeting and they asked me what the issue was and then they made a doctor recommendation on who I should see for the issue. I showed up for my appointment and when I finally got to see the Doctor that they referred, he walked in and said he wasn't the right doctor for my issue. He didn't ask me any follow up questions, he didn't do any type of examination, he simply sent me back to the receptionist to schedule a meeting with a different doctor.

      Orthopedic One billed my insurance company and refused to waive my bill for the visit and I have personally asked 3 times now. Once in person when I had to reschedule and then I have called in twice. The only answer I received in all 3 instances is that someone will look into it and reach back out to me. No one has called me back yet, I only find out when I keep receiving a new bill.

      To recap, they referred me to the wrong doctor and believe I should have to pay for zero service provide. I had to take time off of work, drive to another city, wait 20 minutes in the lobby and more time in examination room all to be told to go home and come back another day.

      They error was solely on Orthopedic One, they wasted my time and still think they deserve to collect money for their error. If the wrong dr would have examined me or asked any questions at all to determine he was the wrong doctor then I understand being billed. He simply knew from the issue I came in for.

      The company should refund my issue and waive my bill as this is an internal issue for them that I already sacrificed my personal time and work time for, I don't need to spend money as well.

      During a visit with Orthopedic One, I was given a wrist brace with the assurance from the medical staff that my insurance would cover the cost.

      Regrettably, months later, I received an unexpected bill from Orthopedic One, amounting to $136 for the brace. This discrepancy between the information provided during the appointment and the actual charges has caused significant frustration and financial strain.

      When I contacted the company regarding the issue, they could not provide a resolution, but merely stated the staff should stop telling people that.

      I am concerned that multiple people are getting excessive bills for items that could be purchased elsewhere, if the person was informed up front of the cost.

      I have spoken to ****** from Orthopedic One recently and she was rude and completely dismissed my concerns. When I explained to ****** that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau, she told me her decision remains the same and there is nothing that the Better Business Bureau can do for me.
