      Signed for my lot at the end of January 2021. I verbally was promised 9-12 months max. Of course that’s not in the signed contract. But here i am 26 months later and still getting push around. I was given at least 6 different timeframes that i would be able to close. After reading all the complaints i see the main excuse is shortage and labor but I’m watching all my friends and relatives close with other builders and they started building a whole year later. I’m so confused. The response on this site is so fast but I’m literally begging for help information anything and barely get a response. I keep signing a lease every six months which is costing me to spend more money. Like now I’m waiting for inspections was told it is a few week process. Now it’s almost a month and one person came to inspect. Like what’s is the hold up. I’m having a whole baby tomorrow. No nursery no nothing. I wasn’t even pregnant when i started building. I’m literally stuck in this contract can’t get my money back can’t use my credit like i need answers. Accurate answers some type guidance so i know where I’m going next. This lease ends in June. I was told to extend until March. Now I’m being told March is not even possible not even realistic

      The problem in the community is we have too many homes under construction and not enough contractors. Even though we have a document explaining we cannot tell you when your home will be completed we understand this process has taken much longer than anyone anticipated. Please get with your sales counselor and request a cancellation. At that time we will refund all deposits made to the builder. Also, this is a Homewood Homes complaint, not a ******* Homes complaint. Thank you

      I am rejecting this response because:  after waiting two years of my time. Your response was to cancel that’s pathetic. Clearly this company don’t care about their buyers and i don’t care who you are my paper work say *******

      In September 2020, I went into contract with ******* home for a new build house in the *************s(Reynoldsburg, OH.) . I was told my house will be ready in October 2021, a year came past and nothing was done on the land not even digging, then I was given another year , up to December 2022, my building is still in the frame, no one have contacted me, I locked my rate with their bank because their sales representative gave me the assurance it will be done in December 2022, (they have taken my rate lock money for free because rate lock time will expire soon)my job, kids school and my entire family is in mess due this contract and delay for over two years with ******* home .no one will answer my calls and if they do, am asked to leave a message with the receptionist. For 2and half years now, my house is still in frame.

      This is not a ******* ****, but will respond. Buyer has called and stopped in, we direct our buyers back to their point of contact which is their sales representative who has been in communication as the construction team does not work in the office. Attached is an email from the lender explaining the builder is not responsible for the rate lock. If the buyer is unable to deal with the timeline we will refund all deposits made to the builder (not lender) and cancel the agreement. We also had the clients sign an undeveloped homesite addendum stating we do not know when the home will close which is attached.

      I went under contract with home wood as of 12/27/2020, for new building house. than they sold my lot to someone else and have me do another contract for new lot. it has been 3 years now, they still didn't complete the house. I have been paying to extend my rate lock for over a year. they told me will be able to close in October but they won't give me the date. than October passed, than they told me in November, but still won't give me a date. now they saying December, but still won't give me. my neighbor went under contract 5 months before and they are closing their house next. they have closing date of November 23rd 2022. I have been emailing Corporate, my realtor have been emailing the, my lender have been emailing them. I have try everything to a point that I am very tired. I am paying month to month for the past year and half. I lost money just extending rates. I feel like I'm losing this bottle. please help me and my 5 kids. thank you.

      When the clients contracted in January of 2021 they purchased with the understanding the land is undeveloped (see attached). That documents states we cannot tell you when your home will start or close. We did not anticipate the labor and supply crisis that would ensure during the construction of the home. We are finishing the home as quickly as possible with the limited resources at our disposal. Understanding that, if the clients would like to cancel and receive their entire deposit back we will do that.

      Driveway not done completely. Two halves aren’t labeled. Sod not laid yet. Business has been notified three weeks ago but didn’t hear back. Business totally ignored my email. I want the issues fixed asap.
