They constantly try to say your behind and when you prove otherwise they come up with some other excuses like oh the manager has to approve it but they can't reach them. Like for real just absolutely horrible staff and management.Rent 2 Own

********** OH location is absolutely awful. I first purchased a 75 inch TV in December 2023. Upon delivery the TV was dropped off the truck and tried to catch it with foot, busting the screen. They still delivered that TV. (On ring camera) ****** was removed and it was in fact busted. Called store and a replacement of that TV was not available. They brought a used filthy TV in which I had for approximately 2-3 months. I made payments on a brand new TV the whole time while having a used TV. They bring a different TV than I had originally purchased and agreed to pay for. My online account and the store account don't match, payoff is not the same. They say I missed the same as cash deadline and didn't even have what I intended to pay for. I have asked multiple times for resolution. Today, Contessa says I have to come into the store to print off paperwork to find out what's going on? So I need to take off work to go into their office to determine what they did wrong?? I have said multiple times what the problem is. I have texts saying I will make my payments online and to not autopay. Autopay taken out today and still no resolution. I ask store manager Contessa what TV she as listed on my account and she responds with a horrible smart comment, a 75 inch TV. Yeah, what brand, I don't know she says. I said that's a smart-ass comment and proceeded to say I am in the wrong. WRONG!! I wouldn't ever purchase anything from *** again in my life. Horrible experience and horrible customer service. Still have no clue why it can't be resolved without being treated like trash. How disappointing.Rent 2 Own

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The manager over the store, ******, has stated that the first TV was not busted, but it had a smudge on the screen. They only provided that TV for a short-term use while the TV that you requested was special ordered through one of our vendors. The TV's were swapped out directly by the manager, with all money paid going directly onto the new TV. She assures that they in no way would leave a busted TV in any customer's home and still require payment. She would be more than happy to discuss this situation with you. I paid for a couch bed and recliner 4 weeks ago I received the couch a week later which was ok because they had to order it but still have not received my recliner . Horrible service ! ******** business ! I also am a retired business owner you should never treat your customers this way . I am very disappointed I did file a complaint with BBB . I also plan on filling thru with it . I DO NOT RECOMMEND!Rent 2 Own

Good morning *********** I am terribly sorry about this issue that's going on. The *** who had ordered the recliner for you had told me that she informed you that your new recliner would be here on our last truck or this upcoming truck. The company that we had to order your recliner from we only get a shipment from them twice a month. Where you wanted new there was none in the company that were available so to ensure that we get you what you are asking for we had to special order that. I am very sorry that you feel like you have been giving bad service. We pride ourselves on taking care of our customers the best way possible in a very timely manner. I double checked the ** and it does say that your recliner ETA date is 11/15. I will have the delivery team bring the recliner straight to you once we receive it. I will also take some money off the back end of your bundle due to this issue. If you would like to speak with me you can always reach me at the store, and we can go over the savings on your agreement ************. That way we are all on the same page. I will not ever go back to this store I told them I was going through things at home. And they come to my house why I am gone then they call my references and tell them they are gonna call CPS. Than they come to my house and bang on my door text me saying they are not leaving than they come to my job and call my job text me like crazy just keeps harassing me and my kids. This is nuts I am over a year of paying this off and they have no respect for my privacy or my kids. My children don't feel safe. Than they text everyone on my ******** call my mother and text her. Like how can someone get away with doing this to othersRent 2 Own

****** was 102 days late in August *** made a $60 payment to get back on track (which we did help her with toggle hold which was around $1,300.00 that she should have paid and did not, as we toggled it) and resume her normal payments. *** has not made a payment since then and is currently *********************************************************** return the merchandise.*** said that we could come to her work to get ahold of her because her phone was shut off and provided ******* with her work hours.*** has scheduled a pickup with us multiple times and each time either isn't home or is and doesn't answer the door. So what I think about Rent 2 Own they think it ok to falsely accuse someone and they think it ok to show up on private property and refuse to leave. Oh and not to mention when you ask for the DM To call you back they don't. Rent 2 Own is a very bad company to do business with the way charge for there merchandise you are better off to buy it out right so please please don't make the mistake. I have taken and filed with Clermont County Municipal Small Claims due to slander defamation of character so yea stay away from the company.Rent 2 Own

This comment was left by someone is who not a customer of ours. She had a gentleman rent a laptop under his name because she is not allowed to rent here. After speaking with the gentleman that rented it, he stated he had no idea she hadn't been paying for the laptop and that she had been impersonating him. On 9/28/2024 we had a Verbal agreement that she would pay the balance owed on the laptop by 10 A.M. Monday 9/30/2024 and that if it were not paid then we would need the laptop back as it was 44 days past due at the time. After trying to contact her via phone on Monday, I had realized that she had blocked our number. After speaking with the gentleman that had rented the laptop, he provided us an address in which the laptop was at and told us we could go pick it up. I sent one of my account managers out there to try and make contact. When they arrived, she refused to give the laptop back unless we "punished" our employees that she stated were harassing her. At that time I advised my account manager to contact the police department to see if they could send out an officer as a peacekeeper/witness. After I stated that, she willfully handed my account manager the laptop.Review fromJunior C

Corporate approved me at my address but the Ashland store will not allow me to get anything because there is an account at this address matter of fact there are two at the address but they will not approve me at the store based of it but I have a separate lease the the other account holder who does not have a lease or ownershipRent 2 Own

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, this is what the manager of the Ashland store has responded:This person rents a room at a customer's house, we told them we cannot have multiple accounts at the same address as the current customer already was adding a gaming laptop and this person wants a gaming laptop at same address after we told them the current customer couldnt add anything else until we have some account history payments on what he currently has. The customer wasnt approved for an item and had stated he understands we couldnt open another account. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact our home office at **************. I rent from the one in ********** ****. Do not refer anyone if you have an account. They will hold you responsible for someone else's account just because you referred them. They are very rude and will harass you over someone else's account and threaten you. Very bad store.Rent 2 Own

The people at my local rent to own in ************* isn't very good. I'm buying a refrigerator for my 78 year old mom. I told them at the beginning of the month bc I'm temporarily off of work. That it would be end of month before I can make a payment. Some how they managed to get my mother's debit card and took over $200 out of her bank account. These people should be closed down for their business practices.Rent 2 Own

Here is response from the store manager:He texted in that he had his payment today on 7/24 we tried to call and text to verify which card he wanted to use with no response so someone used the card that was on file. He has used that card multiple times for payments and his mother is the co-signer on his account. Payment was 22 days past due.
