      8/31/2022 I contacted westside tire in Niles Due to my emergency brake not functioning properly. I have a warranty on the vehicle so I explained to them to go through the vehicle and see whatever issues the vehicle had and what the warranty company would cover. I received the vehicle back. 2 months later I go to leave my house disengaged the emergency brake handle as I'm driving down the road I start to smell smoke . I got out of the car I looked at the rear brakes they were glowing red. The emergency brake never disengaged even though the handle was down. I drove the vehicle back to my house. I called westside tire I explained to them the situation I got the car backup to them. They went through and inspected the vehicle they said that the rotors were warped the brake pads were bad. That the rear caliper was faulty. He misunderstood and thought that I said I drove with the emergency break on. I explained to him that was not the case. I released the handle but the emergency brake never disengaged. I explained to him that they had just resolved this issue for me and we're paid over a $1000 to fix the issue . He called me the same day. He let me know that the car was fixed and that he replaced the rotors the brake pads and the caliper. I asked him what the issue was he said most likely a faulty caliber. I got the car back 2 days later. I got in the car. I went to disengage the emergency brake it did not disengage again. The emergency brake stayed engaged while the handle was down. I contacted ***** again at West side tire and ***** And let him know of the issue. He said that it was probably a emergency brake cable. Which is all part of the system that they should have fixed. ***** is not trying to take accountability for them not doing a thorough job on their end while repairing my car. I've talked with ***** a couple times he does not seem to be in any hurry to fix the situation. I'm currently unable to even use my ebrake at this time since I got it back from them.
