I was charged a $250 copay for having my annual physical blood work run!!! When I got home, I called my healthcare provider and was told that I have no copay at all. I was told by my healthcare provider that this is a scam that Quest is known for. I just can't believe that Quest is still in business. This happened to me at Quest Diagnostics at ***************************************************************.

I had a bad experience with Quest's billing department regarding a bill covered by my insurance. I initially emailed Quest on Tuesday, October 22, but I didn't receive any acknowledgment until I followed up with a call on October 28, 2024. During that call, I was informed that the bill was my responsibility because my insurance company had supposedly sent the payment directly to me, which was not the case.I immediately contacted my insurance company, who confirmed that no such payment was sent to me. While I remained on the line, my insurance representative called Quest directly. Due to the delay in reaching a representative and because I was at work, my insurance company offered to follow up and call me back. They later confirmed that Quest had located the claim and would process it immediately. However, fast forward to November 13, and I received yet another bill. When I called Quest again today, I was informed that there is no record of anyone speaking with my insurance company. The total in-network provider, Quest, has agreed to accept the insurance as full payment for care received. I paid $64.77 at the time of the service because Quest now estimates what they think you will owe. In other words, you are paying for a service you haven't yet received or submitted to your insurance. I followed up again on November 19 and was asked to email the insurance explanation of benefits, which I did. Today is December 4 and my account still shows I owe over $700. Quest has never responded to my emails, which is disappointing, especially considering their bills are due upon ********** advice to anyone dealing with Quest, verify any bill you receive against your explanation of benefits before making a payment.

Quest Diagnostic is the worst Lab Ive ever visited I have tried to call the customer ********************** line and there is no human you speak to a computer and I ask a question unless its a yes or no answer. I had trouble with them having my doctors orders. They said they could not serve me and then it happened again. I made another appointment and my doctor had faxed over the information not emailed due to HIPAA rights. The employees there are not concerned with anybody or whats wrong with you or if you get your blood work done or not they act like youre a number. The girl told me you dont have it then I need to do my next patient youll need to step out of the roomI will never return there to have anything done if you have any questions about it I suggest in my opinion go to another lab. Do not go to quest diagnostics.

I have no issues with the actual Lab work at Quest Diagnostics, but a BIG ISSUE with their BILLING DEPARTMENT! I accidentally OVERPAID a bill by $362.00 and have been fighting to get my REFUND back from Quest for 90 days now! Even though Quest AGREES that I overpaid them, every time I call, I get the SAME ANSWER, I have put in your request for a Refund. The problem is, the check is NEVER SENT! I have since moved on to ********, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! They are conveniently located in ********* and NO ISSUES with their ******************* AVOID QUEST DIAGNOSTICS AT ALL COSTS!

I had an appt at 9:30. I arrived can check cameras at 9:20 10 minutes I scanned my code and everything. Your worker was extremely rude. Everyone kept getting called back and I had asked her. I even said I was here behind the guy with a red visor she drew blood on. She got rude and she wasnt even listening kept telling me I was late. Check your cameras very unprofessional. She had darker skin older short *** ****** hair glasses. I wouldnt recommend and hire workers who dont just pop off on clients. Youre in the health field.

In our area Quest has a virtual monopoly for testing outside a hospital. In Sept 2023 had bloodwork done. Got a bill in Dec 2023 which seemed high but paid it due to usual holiday chaos. In Feb 2024 went online and got EOB that showed I had overpaid by *****. This started a game where my insurance company and/or myself has called multiple times, provided EOB multiple times, were told 'refund check would be sent within 30 day' and nothing happens. Rinse, repeat cycle. I finally determined that they submitted 2 different tests with the same code, insurance was denied for duplicate billing. Instead of re-coding and resubmitting, Quest just stated that my insurance said it was an uncovered test and the bill was my responsibility. Shortly after the above phone calls where the refund request was submitted by the Quest agent, the automated (?) system rejects the refund because it's not their fault. But Quest does not have the ability to make outside calls or generate notices about the request being denied. I am not notified that they aren't going to send the refund. I am caught in a vicious cycle with no recourse. Just about time for me to start the game again as Monday marks 30 days since the last call and still no check. Can't an attorney general somewhere initial legal proceedings against Quest as this appears to be their business model to get more money from their customers.

These people are a******* I received a bill for $1200 for lab work that is absolutely covered by my insurance. My insurance is through a third party that uses *****, but claims are not billed directly through *****. The first time they sent the bill, I had to call their customer ********************** line and have them resubmit it because they submitted it directly to *****. I told them this was wrong on the phone (and in the hospital at the time) and they needed to submit through my third party, not through *****. They assured me that this second time would cause no issues because they fixed my insurance info, which I read to them verbatim from my card. Well, a month later, ON THANKSGIVING, I received THE EXACT SAME BILL saying that my insurance (*****) denied coverage. THAT'S BECAUSE MY INSURANCE ISN'T AETNA. Instead of enjoying time with my family, I will be calling Quest tomorrow morning and demanding that they submit my bill directly because apparently everyone who works for this company is a dumbass. Happy Thanksgiving! :)

I had a really bad experience today at Quest Diagnostic. When my parents and I arrived at Quest Diagnostic, I was surprised there wasnt a bunch of patients. I went to check them in digitally, because it was the only option they had, despite the majority of clients were elders. Anyway, I tried to check in as fast as possible because we had arrived 8 minutes late. When I finished, they called my mom right after, then I sat in the waiting area for my dad to be called. After 15 min, I asked a nurse when his appointment would begin and she informed me that hed be called in a few moments. An hour later, I asked another nurse and she told me that we didnt check in correctly, and we had to do it again. I really dont understand why these workers dont care about their patients and the time they take to be there. I understand that the nurses are doing the job that theyre hired for, but there werent any receptionists to help peoples needs. I am really disappointed that this place makes their decisions based on a computer. This shows that they have a lack of feelings, empathy and common sense.
