I have a warranty with 1800warranty since June 2024. Every month a payment is auto deducted from my account to pay for the warranty. Under the warranty I can take my car to any repair facility for repairs with 0 deductible as long as the repair is under warranty. On March 5, 2025 I took my car to the Range Rover Dealership for a back up camera problem. The dealership did a 32 point inspection and stated the back up camera needs to be replaced, the valve pump, the valve cover, serpentine belt, air filers, and my transmission is pulling and a hard shift when changing gears. I was told everything was coverered excluding the serpentine belt and air filters. It took them 2 1/2 weeks to send a inspector out to confirm the repairs. Then I was told on 3/21/25 the inspector report was sent to the admin for approval. I have been calling and the service department from the repair facility has been calling for over a week now to get an update and each time we call, we are told it is pending admin approval then the analyst never calls me back despite sending emails for a call back and sending messages to him when I call. My car will now be at the repair facility for a month this week and still no update, but each month payment is taken out for my warranty. If the services are covererd under the warranty then why is it taking them this long for approval? I want my car fixed as promised.

This is a unique situation I have a level 3 extended warranty which I can't get service because the dealer who offered me the contract is no longer in ***************************.. and per contract I can only see the dealerships repair shop.. dowc claims their info is updated and the dealership is i fact in buisness and that they moved .. but I advised them the new owners are now called LUXURY AUTO COLLETORS.. and they are using the same phone lines...and the same employees and they have no affliction with PARKWOOD..I only ask we come to some type of agreement since dowc has already been paid by the dealer (warranty contract) at time of signing...this is not your normal occurrence.. and expect to be compensated ..

DOWC has not provided written or email proof of the denial. DOWC denied my claim presented for a new engine through my dealer. The engine replacement is estimated to cost $5,800. Rt44 ******* (my repair shop), indicated they denied my claim before I submitted all maintenance documents.

DOWC Administration Services, LLC (DOWC) serves as administrator of vehicle service contracts and other products offered by dealers in connection with the sale of new and used vehicles.  As such, DOWC is responsible for processing claims and providing other administrative services in connection with such products.

Customer purchased *************** Contract #DOW173569 on August 8, 2020, and accepted the terms of the?Contract. Please see a true and accurate copy of the Contract attached. On August 6, 2024, Customer entered a claim for three (3) ignition coils to correct engine misfires which was approved by DOWC. On August 7, 2024, the Customer added an Engine replacement to the claim. The Contract terms require the customer to maintain the vehicle according to the manufacturers specifications.

In section 4 of the contract What this Service Contract Does Not Cover paragraph 9, it states For a Breakdown if Your maintenance obligations under this Service Contract have not been satisfied and/or maintenance as recommended by the manufacture has not been performed... The customer exceeded the manufacturer's mileage interval for oil & filter changes multiple times, which would have most definitely contributed to the internal engine failure. Therefore, **** has denied the customers' claim to replace the engine, in accordance with the plain language of the contract. Thus, DOWC requests that the BBB find the claim unfounded and remove the complaint.

Upon the Customers request, **** contacted the administrator and provider of the contract.  **** learned that the Customer was contacted by the administrator on four separate occasions so the refund could be sent. They have yet to receive a response from the customer. DOWC has met all its obligations with the administrator and provider and the delay in the refund is attributable to the Customers failure to respond to numerous communications.

I filed a claim with DOWC, my vehicles warranty administrator due to having engine failure. I was urged to purchase this warranty when buying my used 2018 *** 430i from a local resale lot. I began experiencing vehicle issues when I recently received an engine coolant is low, top off notification from my vehicle. I immediately added coolant in response. Upon doing so I noticed the vehicle wouldnt hold any of the coolant and it immediately exited from the bottom of my vehicle. From that point I parked my car then took it to a local *** specialist car shop. Upon filing the claim it was explained to me that for a decision to be made, a contractor is sent to do an inspection of the vehicle for more details. I was told company policy states that a decision on the claim would be made by administration within ***** hours post inspection I was constantly assured that I had a very good bumper to bumper warranty that should assist in this unfortunate time. Its been nearly a month post inspection, Ive called daily for an update and received no type of update, was told I couldnt speak to a supervisor and went from being reassured that the claim would be approved to being told that theres a high chance itll be denied. While I appreciate the gesture in this situation and would never want to come off as ungrateful, at what point does a good gesture become overall bad business? Its been so long Ive been without my vehicle that Ive paid $1,000+ in transportation fees on top of paying my vehicles car note and cant afford this any longer. I dont have the high repair cost needed on hand but at this point I could of financed the repairs, received my car back within 2 days, over 3 weeks ago and the amount of money I have had to put into transportation to and from work could have been put towards the repairs. This entire process has been negligent and extremely wasteful of money I do not have

We purchased a lifetime powertrain warranty on our used vehicle (from a local dealership) through this company. We kept flawless maintenance on our automobile the last 2.5 years we have owned it. We had detailed records to show our oil changes etc, to them in a timeline manner so they sent an adjuster to check out the car which was in need of a whole new engine according to the **************, my spouse and I own this car together and my father in law has a garage and has been a well known mechanic for over 30 years now, but with limited space at his facility, we dont often ask to do anything at his shop except the occasional oil change bc he always had the right oil and filters on hand and he always lets us use the bay bc it is a quick procedure. Records of these things are usually kept in all situations, and maybe half the time for family members. However, the co owner of the business kept any and all records and he sold his half of the facility after he was diagnosed with a terminal issue a few months ago, leaving those specific records unavailable. Still, we have the company pages and pages showing everything except oil and filter receipts bc we didnt always buy it, dad would give it to us out of his stock and it was never a big deal. That said, this company claimed sludge in our engine which is almost impossible given our maintenance history. So now were out our car, over $16000 left to pay on the car thats now junk, and its wrong. I know they see liars and scum who try and get free things all the time who scam them etc. but were not those people. Im devastated, and with systolic heart failure and a 2 YO (we both have regular doctor visits in ****** and we live in the area of ******* **, now my health is going to go without maintenance- all thanks to them. Its wrong.

I purchased the extended warranty for my 2017 **** escape when I purchased it last year, that way if something major happened I would be able to get my car fixed In July 2023 my car began acting up. I took it to my local **** dealership to have it looked at One issue was with purge valve in the fuel system which wasn't covered by the warranty but the other issue was the torque converter in the transmission which was covered this was on 07/11/23 it took the dealership a week to even hear from dowc only to find out that they needed to send an inspector because of the cost. Almost 2 weeks go by and no inspector shows up and the dealership cant get an explanation other one should be coming So they gave me the info to call Come to find out the inspector is 3rd party company they hire and the first one refused to send one. SO on 07/19/23 they contacted another company and told me it would be ***** hours that someone would be there no one showed until a week later then once the inspector approved it we had to wait for admin approval which despite me and the dealership calling everyday was it was never given and they had to override the admin 07/27-28/23 finally approved it so on 08/01/23 I was able to get approved for a rental at 35 a day for 5 days well where they set up the rental that didn't even cover all charges so I had to pay almost $200 out of pocket there so I contacted the dealership to find out when my vehicle would be ready and was told it wouldnt be ready till the end of the month 08/31/23 because of the delay with getting approval my vehicle had been moved to the back of the que so I contacted dowc to see if they would extend the rental because of them taking so long to approve everything and was told again that admin would have to approve it so I extended the rental my self paying out of pocket nearly $400 altogether when I called last week 08/07/23 I was basically told since they havent responded that was my answer **** has been extremely negligent in this

DOWC Administration Services ("****") is an administrator of finance and insurance products.  One of those products is a vehicle service contract that motor vehicle dealers offer to consumers for covered mechanical repairs under their respective contract.  **** only administers claims filed under the contracts sold by the motor vehicle dealers.  In doing so, it reviews the alleged repair against the language in the vehicle service contract, thus administering the claim.  ****************** filed a claim for repair with **** and in turn, **** administered the claim in accordance with the language in the vehicle service contract.  That language expressly provides for five days of rental car coverage during the time that the vehicle is in the repair facility.  After ****************** contacted **** for additional rental car coverage, **** elevated the request to the provider of the coverage for approval.  In the interim, ****************** filed this claim with the BBB.  Nevertheless, the claim was approved for the additional time the car was as the repair facility and for which ****************** rented the vehicle.  ****'s claims department has contacted ****************** to inform her of the approval and advised of the refund process.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond and this matter should be marked as resolved.
