      I am a user of **********************, a cloud storage company. My billing date is February 12th of each year. In December 2024, my company decided to discontinue using ShareFile. Consequently, I ceased using the service before February 12th, and I expected ShareFile to either send me a renewal notice, restrict my account, or take some action to indicate that renewal was due. However, ShareFile did not notify me, nor did they restrict any features or my account. Instead, they directly charged my credit card on February 13th, 2025. I requested a refund, and after multiple contacts with their customer service, they concluded that a refund was not possible due to their internal policy. However, I was not provided with any clear terms and conditions prior to this, and I believe that charging my credit card without prior notice violates consumer rights. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could assist me in communicating with them to obtain a refund. Thank you very much!       I canceled service through their portal however, apparently cancellation didn't take effect. In early 2024 I started receiving collection emails and calls stating that my plan had auto-renewed in early 2023 and that I had an open balance with them. I never received a renewal notice and never received an invoice prior to the collection communication. After spending days and days arguing with their accounting department, I finally paid the 2023 invoice to make them go away, however the link the *** sent me to pay was apparently for 2024 service. Fast forward to now and I've started receiving collection calls again saying that 2023 is still open. They still NEVER provided renewal notices, nor renewal invoices in advance of the renewal occurring for 2023 or 2024. I canceled service with them through their portal, verbally, and through email and yet they continue to bill.

      I endeavoured multiple times to pay their annual invoice by Mastercard. Despite the fact that this credit card works with EVERY OTHER VENDOR, it didnt work with ShareFile. Eventually I gave up and cancelled the account and switched to another provider. I advised them that this was what I was doing I spoke with multiple people at ShareFile and also emailed with multiple people. One hand doesnt know what the other hand is doing there.Since the, Ive been getting unpaid bill notices and now Im receiving collection emails. *** spent HOURS of my valuable time going over the same story over and over with different idiots I deserve a medal for dealing with this company and compensation for my time. Their service is anything but cheap and cancelling is an absolute NIGHTMARE. Stay away! Use Dropbox or any number of alternatives.

      1. On August 14, 2023 we renewed our annual subscription for unlimited data storage valid to August 14, ****. 2. On October 5, 2023, we were notified that the company changed their plans from unlimited to 1TB and promptly cancelled our account. 3. We were forced to pay and additional $1600 USD just to be able to retrieve our data. 4. I am seeking refund for annual subscription and refund of $1600 forced payment for our data.
