      Placed an order 39 days ago and its still being processed. Also please note that their website states a lot of the bears are not available in store when in fact they are. Website states they were unavailable in 3 stores but when I called they indeed had them. They also place sale prices online when in fact they are much cheaper in the store at regular price?? How does that even make sense.. the online sale price is higher than the in store regular price. A month and a half later and I dont even have a tracking number. Horrible customer service I would not recommend anybody buy from this company cause you probably wont get your bear until the following year if you even get it at all. Asked for a refund and denied. 120 dollars and going on 39 days with no bear and not even processed.

      I went into the Greenwood ******* store and got charged twice for my transaction. Nobody at the workshop has returned, or answered any of my calls. Nobody at the main office in ********* has returned, or answered any of my calls. Nobody has given me my money back nobody knows where it went.I missed a day of work to take care of this as well as the extra money taken, was budgeted for my electricity bill. Now my electricity got shut off, and my kids get to play with her build a bears in the dark.

      Build-A-Bear used to be good when my daughter was young. The company as one would expect transitioned into a big online thing along with locations throughout. At first it was fine. The problem became when they opened up the "vault items" to be sold in limited stock and put an online limit of 4 per order. That left it open for scalpers to take advantage of buying all they could and reselling them for hundreds of dollars. Way above the sale price. Kids that very much want these special plushies lose out. Regardless if it's a "vault item" kids that want that special little plush shouldn't lose out because it sold with in hours to minutes. The other issue is no email was sent out to many (myself included) when item would be available again. So, the "notify me" does nothing. These issues have been brought to the attention to the company and they refuse to address any questions or concerns about these issues. These are issues the company could fix.

      I went to the ********** location on Saturday with my family for my daughter's birthday. Not only were they understaffed but it took a whole hour to get into the store when there were only about 10 people in the store. When we finally got in, we were able to pick out a bear and then another hour to stuff and pay for the bear. It was an extremely long wait. Not only that but my daughter picked out ****************- animal crossing bear where it is advertised as half off. When I told the store clerk she stated it is buy one get half off. I had two choices, to get out of the line I waited in or to just go ahead and pay full price. I did not want to wait another 1 hour to get another bear so I stated I would go ahead and just pay it. I do not believe this is the right practice if your bear is advertised half price and I am standing in front of you showing you the advertised price, the store should honor it. I will not be going back.

      Ordered a Hello Kitty to be stuffed at the store and a dress. Animal arrived stuffed and the dress was missing. Went to store assuming they would give me the missing dress, but they said I would have to pay for it again. Filed 3 support tickets, but still don't have the dress and don't think I ever will. Such a disappointing gift for my daughter's birthday

      I was unfairly denied to be able to purchase a recorder based on the employees thought process of what I might do with that recorder. Which is unfair and wrong.

      I hate the ****** bear and think its inappropriate. Ordering from Build a Bear online is a terrible hassle and took hours. I ended up having to do my transaction over the phone which no better. Had to call back numerous times and couldnt understand the person on the phone due to their accents.Had to give my info many *********************** and on the phone. I HATED the experience!!!

      I am just sick that you are.putting out a *** **** bear. This is despicable, I will. never take my grandchildren to your store until you remove this bear, I hope all parents stop coming to your stores, this is sick

      Bought a gift card on the online site went to the store to use it and the gift card wouldn't work but showed it had the funds on it. I called the company to cancel the card and get my money back, after having to request to speak to a supervisor who told me I would get my money back in 7 to ********************************************************************************************************************** another request has been sent and it will take some time but they have no problem taking money from your account asap to pay for the purchase. I have purchased from this company a few times but this will be the last time.

      Absolutely horrible company. Is this even the same Build A ************ from our childhood? They do not operate the same way and scam people into buying overpriced stuffed animals. We bought a stuffed dog and called the number to leave our recording within the days stated in the email. We waited a long time for it to arrive and when it did, months after Christmas, it didn't have a recording within it. In trying to return it, they said they would cover any "fees" to return it but we have to pay return shipping, which would be $28!!! Basically the price of a stuffed animal and then some! When asked why we should pay for their error, they said there's nothing they can do. They cannot pay for return shipping. We asked to escalate it to a manager and they said it will be no use. They said they encounter this all the time and they have no way of paying for return shipping. THEY ADMITTED they encounter this all the time! That should be the biggest red flag about this company. How can they operate like this? They are riding on the popularity and nostalgia of the Build-A-Bear of our younger years. So sad.
