January of 2024, Paid for MRI, $670.00. on 6/7/2024, I contacted Basha with request for a statement for my HSA. I was told that the billing system was hacked by a cyber attack and they had no access to any billing informatio. On 7/29/2024, I contacted Basha, I was told again unable to retrieve information but that I had a credit refund due to me for $140.44. I was never informed of this - by chance I called. Told no timing on when I would get a check as they were working night and day trying to fix the cyber attack damage. 10/15/2024, I called Basha again. It was confirmed that I am still due a check and that I'm "lucky" that they can see that. There is no timeline for when I will receive the refund via check. I asked why Basha couldn't send me a check if they were able to verify a refund is due and I was told that the billing company and basha have "connection" issues. NO RESOLUTION OR TIMELINE OF RESOLUTION OFFERED. I see major issues with this. 1) patients were not contacted about billing/cyberattack 2) Basha is holding refunds most likely to MANY patients without notice. 3) no plan or time expectation of when it will be resolved.

I was provided service for an *** at Basha Diagnostics 2/14. Before receiving care I was required to pay $350 toward my health insurance deductible. Upon reviewing my insurance documents, I realized that it says my insurance covered the total amount and I was to pay $0.00 for the **** I then see that it states that $0 out of my $500 deductible has been paid thus far this year. I called ********** to inquire why it says $0 if I paid $350 to Basha Diagnostics toward my deductible, I was then informed by the lady at ********** that I was not required to pay anything for the *** and that ********** covered the full amount. I called Basha Diagnostics three times over the past 3 months to inquire about where the $350 that I paid for my deductible has gone if it wasnt applied to my insurance and my insurance covered the entire cost. Each time I was told that if my insurance covered the cost that I would be refunded but their billing system is down and they dont know when it will be back up. I called again one week later and same thing the billing system is down and they cant help me until its back up, I waited 2 more months and called again and was told that their billing system HAS BEEN DOWN for 3 MONTHS. I have been told for over 3+ months that their billing system is down and they cant help until its back up. My insurance paid Basha and closed the claim on February 23rd as you can see in the attached. Basha Diagnostics has had over 4+ months to refund me the $350 that was collected at the time of the *** that was not needed since my insurance covered the entire amount. AND the $350 was in fact never applied to my insurance deductible.

BASHA DIAGNOSTICS HAS POOR PRACTICES. DOESN'T EXPLAIN IN DETAIL ALL THEY DO. WAIT UNTIL THE PROCEDURTE IS DONE TO ASK WHAT INSURANCE A CLIENT HAS, THEN TELLS THE CLIENT BASHA DOESN'T ACCEPT INSURANCE AND CHARGES HIGH RATES. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT BY A DOCTOR WHO CLAIMS HE'S ALL ABOUT THE COMMUNITY AND MAKES $20 MILLION PER YEAR, YET LIVES IN A $3 MILLION PLUS HOME AND I'M SURE BECAUSE OF THE POOR MEDICAL PRACTICES AND TAKING PEOPLE FOR THEIR MONEY. CLAIMS TO HAVE OVER 50+ YEARS EXPERIENCE, YET PULLS STUNTS SIMILAR TO THE ABOVE. WORKS FOR COREWELL HEALTH OVER 20+ AS A RADIOLOGIST YEARS AND CAN'T IMAGINE HOW HE TREATS HIS PATIENTS. OWNER MAKES FUN OF CUSTOMERS AND TELLS THEM TO BEG OTHERS FOR MONEY. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE AND DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

      Business Response

      Date: 04/09/2024

      Dear Better Business Bureau representative:

This is Basha Diagnostics, P.C.s requested response to BBB Complaint ID #********.   ********************** Diagnostics takes all patient care and other patient matters very seriously. Patient feedback (whether positive or negative)is important.  If there something in a compliant that could be taken as constructive criticism and ultimately be used to improve, we would certain do so.  That being said, BBB Complaint ID #******** appears to be a general statement of disparagement and doesnt point to any particular experience or specific details that could be reviewed (and potentially refuted).  So, we are not sure how to reply to this complaint. There is not a real complaint to potentially refute. The statements are general statements with no basis and has an appearance of personal attack.  For all we know, they could be coming from a competitor (we question the legitimacy of the stated consumer name, email address (**************)and phone number).

The opposite of the general statements is true in many instances.  The reason many patients chose ********************** Diagnostics for imaging services is because our prices are lower (often much lower) than at hospitals and certain other facilities, and we generally receive very positive patient feedback. Further, Dr. ********************** is fully engaged and on-site on a full-time basis (usually far beyond what is considered full-time).

We take great pride ensuring that we fully comply good clinical practices.

I hope you have found this information helpful, but please do not hesitate to contact me if any additional clarification is necessary.

      Thank you,

      *********************************
