1 starThis company is THE WORST and has continually made the process of redeeming shares in companies from my mother's estate unbearable. I am the executor of my mother's estate and have only encountered bureaucratic barriers and ridiculous requirements for things like original hard copies of court appointment letters (of which I have one, and not enough for each stock request!) medallion stamps for change of address forms which require a recent statement, but then have no recent statements issued from them to make any changes. I can find no record of them ever issuing a statement to my mother, despite issuing her dividends - which apparently don't count. Never ever deal with this company or their partner *******.Review fromAshley H

1 starIt has been a nightmare working with them at every. single. step. Setting up the account is a nightmare. Getting through to customer service who can only help with a VERY limited number of things is a nightmare. They double withdrew from my account which caused me to overdraft in my checking. I fixed it. Then I went to make a large purchase of stock using a specific account, and they took it from a different account that I DIDNT input for the transaction, again causing me to overdraft on every purchase until I caught it. They owe me SEVERAL overdraft fees. ??Review fromKar B

1 star***************************** & Computershare. NOT MORTGAGE COMPANIES.1. PLS READ ARTICLE MAY 2023: REUTERS 10/2/2023 AUSTRALIA DID A DEAL SELLING MORTGAGE PORTFOLIO TO ******************* COMPANY has all these small outlets So when you're late on your mortgage they can instantly just throw you in foreclosure and make a ton of money. The reason for this is because a co. like ***** Fargo Does Not Want foreclosures in their portfolios; it would look very bad. So they sell off mortgages to these fraudulent little shell companies that actually NOW (Not early last year)They Finally state on their website 2. "WE DO NOT HELP NEW YORKERS" Didn't say that on SLS website EVER I complained non-stop and now SLS seems to be gone. And now it's Shellpoint, which is the absolute exact thing. 1 starA TALE of WOE. My dad bought me some ***************************** stock years ago in my name. Every tax year I get my tax form from Computershare ************ Providence RI and report same on my taxes. On 7/17/2024 I got a certified mail from Computershare stating if I did fill out their form then all my shares would be turned over to the state of ******. This does not pass smell test. The trail of tears starts with trying to contact or talk to a person in Computershare. I managed one time to get a person I can only assume somewhere in ************ and conversation was non-existent due to my lack of proficiency in Tagalog. I just want to talk to a person. I have tried to talk with HD and that is a dead end. There is no contact path to reach a person and just endless loops of selections that want account number or VIN Numbers. I am so ****** at HD for even getting involved with these grifters at Computershare. At this point all I want to do is dump my shares and wash hands of these people. At this point even my 2001 Heritage HD is on the block Im so frustrated with HD. If you need proof just read reviews of Computershare. Why and How they are allowed to do business in my country is a screenplay in the making for an *********************** movie. I am so desperate and need help but dont even know what to ask for. All I want is my money in my account and some US Attorney to look into Computershare and figure out how they are ripping off Americans.Review fromRusty B

1 starAbsolute definition of incompetence. As many others have mentioned, trying to transfer deceased relative stock to my name has encountered brick wall after brick wall (more like paper walls). I would not do business with these folks under any circumstances with this level of ineptitude in handling something very simple.Review fromTani Traver T

1 starI have been trying via a court order to get stocks transferred into my name for at least 8 years, with no luck. They want my husbands signature, when I have a court order signed a judge in *********** Co. These people are ridiculous. I jump through hoops, over bridges, and still no luck.Review fromLaura C

1 starGood luck ever getting your money out of this company. I have been working since October 2023 to transfer the stocks to my married name. 6 certified letters containing personal identifiable information have been sent. The first time i filled out the paperwork with the representative on the phone. I went got a medallion stamp, got it notarized, sent it with a tracking number and a check to transfer my holdings to myself. They cashed the check, bought unauthorized shared under my maiden name. This invalidated ALL of my paperwork but i didn't know that, The letter just stated the number of shares didn't match. I thought it was due to dividends. The phone representative said to resubmit the PAPERWORK. So I did. about 20 days later i get a letter stating they bought stock, I get a 2nd denial letter that i didn't include the transfer fee, resubmit a 3rd time. get another denial letter that they didn't have my original birth certificate and that a certified copy didn't work. Sent in paperwork 4th time with an original birth certificate. Get a letter of denial that due to the date of the original request (more than 90 days) i was being denied and needed to resubmit with this new form. Send in 5th time, get letter of denial stating they need my birth certificate - they still have my original birth certificate as they have not sent it back. I am on hold now speaking to a manager and she informed me that they DO NOT send back documents. This was never stated anywhere. So now I get the pleasure of paying $15-$25 to get an "original copy" of my birth certificate. So far I have spend $170.35 in shipping, Purchased $106 worth of stock I didn't ask for or want, and will have to pay another minimum $49.07. At this point I'm over it, I feel i have appropriate grounds to stand on for a lawsuit for misappropriation of funds.Review fromShane B

1 starTrying to get lost certificates replaced has taken 1.5 years and counting for a loved one that has passed. They have 3 original death certificates and all supporting paperwork. Yet after transfering the original computer shares they continue to tell me they don't have a death certificate. It was sent with a ck to replace the lost certificates which they cashed, but magically they again don't have the death certificate.Review fromAli L

1 starHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. After my husband died I called Computershare 20 times over 4 months and still could not adjust the cost basis of the stocks we had to my husband's date of death. Whenever I called, the persons accent was difficult to understand, they didnt listen to me, the line was hard to hear and echoed. Finally I insisted on speaking to a supervisor and was told to stay by the phone for a call back. The call came four days later. To say that this company is incompetent is an understatement. I never got my issue resolved by them and was blocked repeatedly.
