      I purchase a radon remediation system from ***** * **** which included a 5 year warranty against radon levels being above acceptable levels. This business was subsequently sold to Protect Environmental. The fan has since failed which is the only moving part in the system and is designed to remove unwanted radon gases. Upon contacting the company they didn't call back after I left a message, instead they sent me an invoice for $100 to run another radon test. Obviously if the house had periods when the radon levels were two high before the system was installed, if the fan stopped working it stands to reason that the test will still show as high. There was no offer to come out and attempt to service the unit or contact me (other than a bogus invoice).

      I (**** ***** * ********* **** ****** ******** have spoken with *** **** ***** in regards to his compliant.  In the initial proposal - **** is correct we have a radon test at $100 along with no cost for the fan replacement, however based off phone calls between **** and the office this charge was removed.  Based on our records and my conversation with **** no payment was collected at the time of service.  The proposal was sent out with this cost based off a conversation during a training session and I have verified with the office staff that if the radon system is under Protect Environmental "5 year guarantee" retesting is covered at no additional cost to the client.  I apologized to **** for this mistake and thanked him for bringing this to my attention.  Conversations with office staff have taken place to clarify re-testing is covered under our 5-year-warranty.  I have attached the final invoice that was logged into our system at the time of service for your review.
