I took my 2011 ***** Impala to Edwards Transmission on ************************ in December of 2022 because the transmission was slipping. When I picked it up after it was repaired it was better, but it was not fixed. I had intermittent slipping problems and every time I took it back for a test drive with someone from Edwards, of course, it did not slip. But I kept experiencing this intermittent issue until finally just a few weeks ago, I was there with a technician in the car and it did it. So, under the 2 year warranty plan, I had them repair it again, only to pick it up after it was fixed and find that it STILL HAS THE SAME ISSUES. Of course they drove it around for a while and did not experience any problems. I am not satisfied, but frankly I do not feel they they are competent enough to fix whatever is wrong with my transmission. I feel hopeless as I do not want to take it back a third time. I just know that I will NEVER use them again, nor will I ever give them a positive referral. In fact, I will spread the word on their lack of ability in being able to repair my transmission.

My ** would not shift into overdrive while I was on a trip this summer. An OBD reader indicated that shift solenoid C was stuck open. I brought the ** into Edwards transmission in Castleton and was told that the entire transmission needed to be rebuilt. I live in ********* and needed to continue my trip so I agreed. Several weeks later I was told the ** was ready. I drove 5 miles and discovered that transmission fluid was dripping from the transmission. I brought it back and ***, the store manager said it was not a big problem, one of the cooling lines needed to be tightened.I started driving the ** back to ********* and after driving less than **** miles the exact same problem reoccurred. I was able to slowly drive my ** back to ************. It is now the end of November and the ** is still there. I had to rent a cargo van and drive back to *********. During the past 5 months the ** has been towed to ******************************* in ******* by Edwards for a second opinion. The **** dealership told Edwards that the transmission was toast. It was then towed back to Edwards in ******** where it has basically been ignored. I called the district office to talk to **** the district manager on numerous occasions but he was never there and never returned my calls. Recently *** the manager at Edwards on 86th called and said they replaced a wiring harness and rebuild the transmission and they were going to test drive it on the expressway for several days in a row to make sure the problem was fixed. The ** has a GPS device so I can track the movements of the vehicle. I could see that the ** was driven once for just a few miles and only on local streets. When *** called me a few days ago, I told him that I could see from my GPS that the ** had not been test driven on the expressway as he had promised. He said he would check with his people and call be back. When he called back he said the ** needed gas and he didnt know what kind of gas it needed. Wow. 5 months.

I cannot believe my terrible story with *********************************** i came in told them the possible solution for them to fix everything else besides the problem and not even trying to fix the problem at all. At this point lied to my warranty stating they fixed my water pump for free which was a lie. I need a whole new engine now and they trying to say that I never needed a new engine in my head Gasket was never cracked which was a lie. They dont know what they doing. It all is said I spent all this money for nothing and now my claim is denying to fix my engine because of it was transmission. Poor work. This is unacceptable.
