1 starBEWARE!!!! If you want to get scammed, call Transform Sears Home Services! You have to give them a credit card number before they'll make you an appt. I was charged $139 for service call but he didn't do anything then, without permission they charged us another $47 a month for a membership fee. I don't need or want any membership with scammers! The technician we had said he's worked for the company for 25 years, however, he didn't know his work address or phone number and his English was so broken he was hard to understand. Trying to make a long story short, we turned on the oven to show him the error code. He said "that doesn't mean anything", then spent 45 minutes playing on his phone with a final diagnosis as follows: Labor-$364.95, Motor assembly-$223.67 times 2, total repair cost $936.86 plus time to order parts. I told him for that amount of money, I'll get a new appliance. He threw his arms in the air and said "if you want to go to all the trouble of shopping, removal of this unit and installation of a new one, that's up to you. Right there I knew something was rotten. We made a call to a local company that I used to repair my washer/dryer years ago. He came the next day, fixed the oven by himself in 45 minutes for $149.95. It's working like new. This experience was HORRIBLE and they should be put out of business!!Review fromVern S

1 starWorst customer experiences *** had in 72 years living on this planet. Impossible to talk to a human, techs routinely cancel at the last moment, they are non-responsive to inquires if you call them back, and they seem inadequately trained. Wish I knew this before I paid them to look at a couple of problems. DONT do any business with them, they are 100% guaranteed to not even meet your minimal expectations.Review fromTom K

1 star** assigned these people to diagnose my washer/dryer combo, which was less than a year old. They scheduled me a week out on a Friday and every day I would get a reminder email of 8-5 for my appointment on Friday. They say I would get an email the day before that would give me a more accurate time. That email the day before still stated 8-5. No where in the email was there a number to call. The message states:Your repair appointment is tomorrow Need to cancel or reschedule? Let us know right away, to avoid a service charge.Cancel or ****************** date Mar 27 Technician arrival window*?8?:?00? AM to ?5?:?00? ********************* Stacked Laundry Unit I get a call the day of the appointment from the technician telling me they do not work on these units. According to this email, they would bill me if I didn't keep the appointment. How can I bill Sears for having me take off work an entire day for nothing. ** really needs to find more reputable service centers.Review fromCHARLES B

1 starWORST SERVICE EVER.1. They arbitrarily reschedule you during the day you are expecting service.2. They have no phone number to talk with a real person. Keep getting different phone numbers only to take you to the same AI message center. Never can get to a real person.3. It took me 8 reschedules to get the work done correctly - over three visits to our house.4. They asked for a review of the services. I replied 1 star and they promptly returned a message that there was something wrong and the system was down.Review fromEdmund M

1 starMy first call to Sears regarding my broken microwave oven was over one year ago. After numerous calls, appointments, and incorrect parts being delivered,, I was told the correct parts were unavailable and that I would have to get a replacement oven. It took 4 months for the replacement oven to be delivered and when it finally came in November it was broken. Its now April, 5 months and scores of calls later and I still havent received a working replacement oven. I call several times a week and am never able to speak with anyone who can help. Im always told a supervisor will call me back but that never happens. This is extremely frustrating with no end in sight!!!!Review fromDwight T

1 starCalled Sears Home Services for our refrigerator door being hard to close.****** arrived and said it would cost $330.95 to repair. He replace a washer without taking out the door in 5-10 minutes and charged us $330.95. The refrigerator door still didn't work right. ****** came again to repair the door. This time took the door off to replace the washer. Refrigerator door still not working. ****** came and raised the front of the refrigerator which was already raised. 30 days later, the service warranty is over and the refrigerator door is getting harder to close. We looked at the hinge ****** was working on and found part of a washer sticking out of the door hinge and pulled it out, it was 3/4 of a washer ****** stuck in the hinge. Found lots of metal shavings below the hinge and the hinge was gashed where a s**** from the door was hitting which is probably the problem with the door being hard to close. ****** never addressed that problem so the door never got repaired. We searched the Sears website for a place to complain and ask for our $330.95 back but their website is only designed to call for their service not for people to complain about their terrible service.Review fromNancy H

1 starThe experience Ive had with sears home services Has been the worst experience of my entire life. I have wasted a lot of money trying to work with a warranty company that promise to either fix or replace an appliance. Now I have investment over $1000, between initial cost to join the program, the monthly premium $64 and over $300. the promise to send me $180 because they could not find an installer for me. I had to find my own installer which cost me $225. I have not yet receive the $180. I also spent an additional $400+ to get a slide in gas replacement range. They tell me the check will take 20 business days to be sent out to me. I have yet to get this money as of this date March 28, 2025. Ive been dealing with this whole situation since July of last year 2024, and thats just the tip of the iceberg I had to choose my replacement range only from **************************. The range was not installed by sears I had to get my own installer, because the installers that they have were tied up, and so therefore I had to wait until someone picked up the order to install this range sitting in the middle of my floor going on two weeks. The range Sent out flames of fire when it was put in a Broiler position. I really think this company should be sued for such bad practices. I agree with Many other reviews, You cannot understand the people who are handling the situation. They keep giving you another number to call because in most cases they cannot transfer to that ***** The number is called youre with the wrong department. I really need a lawyer to get back some of the money I have paid out for bad customer service and poor follow through. ********************** should be held accountable for the waisted money and headaches they have caused me, and I can agree to the pattern of irresponsible business practices from other customers grievances and complaints. I ********************** No stars above because this company does not deserve them.
