1 starDelta Forces you to pay travel insurance!!!!I recently tried to book a flight with Delta but was incredibly frustrated by the experience. The website forces you to pay for travel insurance without giving an option to opt out. Thats unacceptableif I dont want insurance, I shouldnt be blocked from completing my ************** make matters worse, I couldnt reach a live agent to help me resolve the issue. Relying solely on text or online support doesnt work for everyone, especially for elderly or sick passengers who need more accessible customer service.I ended up booking with another airline that respects customer choice and offers better support. Delta used to be a trusted airline, but this experience left me very disappointed.Review fromCaleb L

1 starWe were discriminated against by a Delta Airlines employee yesterday, when she saw my disabled travel companion stumble. Instead of doing her legally required job, this woman made assumptions about us and canceled our flight that we had been looking forward to for 6 months. After she canceled our flight, we tried to talk to someone else, and she accosted us while we were in line, told us to leave the line and the airport or she would call the cops. We happily obliged her in talking to the cops, who didn't agree with the woman and didn't think we had done anything wrong, but unfortunately they didn't have the power to reinstate our flight. Delta was my favorite airline, now I will do everything possible to never fly them again.Review fromTracy S

1 starReview of Delta Airlines Disability Rights Violation on Flight DL2845 (3/13/25)I was recently forced to check a carry-on bag by a Delta supervisor at the gate, despite clearly stating that the bag contained essential medical supplies and allergy-safe food required for my disabilities. I referenced the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA), which protects passengers with disabilities from situations exactly like this. The agent showed no compassion and told me there was no overhead space leftyet when I boarded, I found multiple open bins. I was left scrambling to shove items into my small personal bag, crushing food and losing access to what I needed for a medically restricted diet during a layover where I couldnt eat anything at the airport.Delta later offered me a $50 voucher and claimed they didnt have enough information to determine if their own supervisor violated federal disability law. *** filed an official complaint with the ********************************* (***) so this incident is on record.Airlines must be held accountable when they ignore disability rights. No one should have to beg for basic medical accommodation at the gate.Review fromEllan M

1 starSeriously? Is Delta is that much financial problem that they can take up to two billing cycles to get my refund!! I paid for two (2) first class tickets in November 2024 (trip in March 2025 ). Unfortunately I had to cancel. Delta is now emailing me telling me it could be MONTHS before I get my credit back. First they gave me an e- credit. I specifically said I wanted it back on my AMEX. And I had to argue with them about that. They actually asked me why I was cancelling. I asked to explain where in the ticket I had to tell them; my ticket said I had to give them 24 hours notice. That's further insanity to me. So we got through my getting a credit. NOW they tell me it could be up to TWO BILLING CYCLES. And when I try to electronically follow up with the credit it is near impossible. They keep telling me my name is wrong. Here is the punch line: I also had a segment of my trip on Southwest. and they returned my credit to my credit card in under 48 hours. I didn't have to spend what felt like hours on their automated phone system (being routed to AMEX for some reason), questioned about my reason for cancelling and I don't have to wait months for my credit. This is bad business to me.Review fromChristopher M

1 starWas stranded in *********, ** for almost 24 hours due to Delta continually delaying our flight. We were never offered a voucher or even an apology for our ridiculously delayed flight. We were never compensated a ***** for what we had to spend on hotel, food, and rideshare fair despite Delta representatives promising that we would be compensated. Lies and broken promises is all this company offersReview fromGinn M

1 starFlight DL1708 from eagle to Atlanta was a disaster!!! First of all the people in rows ** and ** got in a fight but nothing was done. That was nuts. Then we pulled up to the * gates. We deboarded plane but since we were in the international gates, we did not have passports, etc. We were all held in an area as they ****** to figure out want to do. The delta rep said he would help… but that helper disappeared. We have to go thru customs and they were mad bc they had to come over and check us all thru…completely rude! My flight closed to doors as I running to gate.. trying to get someone on delta to hold flight for me for 2 minutes. The app robot was useless. I got myself on another flight. Ohhhhh and my departing flight on Monday was just cancelled. Totally totally totally ruined my vacation and this experience has been nothing but stressful and a series of errors! I will think long and hard before booking a flight with delta and will be canceling my delta Amex.Review fromMaria C

1 starBeware of Delta Airlines & Their Credit Card – Restrictive Policies & Poor Customer Service: I have a Delta credit card with an annual fee, expecting it to offer real benefits. Unfortunately, my recent experience proved otherwise. I purchased a Delta ticket and needed to switch to a later flight on the same day. The price was unchanged, and seats were available, yet I was charged a $99 penalty per passenger to modify the booking. When I called customer service and referenced my Delta credit card, I was told my ticket was non-refundable and nothing could be done—so much for being a cardholder. Frustrated, I canceled the tickets, only to be charged another $99 per passenger and given an eCredit instead of a refund. When I tried to use it for a new booking—partially covered with miles—I discovered eCredits cannot be used with miles. This restrictive policy forced me to pay out-of-pocket again, despite Delta already holding my money. I filed a complaint, but Delta’s response was simple: These are our policies, and nothing can be done. Their rules keep evolving in ways that ensure customers don’t get their money back unless they pay a premium price upfront. If you’re thinking the Delta credit card helps, think again. A representative told me that if I wanted benefits, I should have purchased a more expensive ticket. If that’s the case, why even have their credit card and pay an annual fee? Even worse, if you book a basic ticket with your Delta credit card, you don’t earn miles. It’s absurd that an airline card penalizes you for booking flights with them. For such a major airline, Delta lacks loyalty to its customers. Their numerous restrictions, hidden fees, and inflexible policies feel more like a trap than a customer-friendly service. Once they have your money, good luck getting it back. Bottom line: Avoid the Delta credit card. Their restrictive policies make it a poor choice. Do your research before getting caught in this cycle.Review fromMarc G

1 starI packed an additional screen snuggly in a protective case between clothing items in a check-in bag on a recent flight. Delta personnel, perhaps thinking it was a laptop, searched the bag, pulled the screen out, then shoved it back in. Albeit without ensuring it was snuggly packed as before. And so, predictably, it got cracked. I contacted Delta and asked for a refund from my ticket equal to the price of a replacement screen. Delta refused saying that their terms absolved them of all liability for damaged items in check-in bags. I told them they couldn't just contract away people's right to not have their stuff damaged. They didn't care.Review fromJulia R

1 starI bought 2 last minute tickets from ******, **, to *******************, **, with a connection in **************. I had missed my previous American Airlines connection due to bad weather delays and they put me on a flight for the next day. I was desperate to get to ******************* that same day, so I approached the Delta counter and the woman assured me they'd get me to my destination that day. She swiped my card for USD 1100 plus 70 for checked bags. Right after payment went through, she tolds us that the first flight was delayed, but we would still make the connection. We believed her. The flight ended up being even more delayed and we missed the connection in ************** and had to spend the night there. It was very frustrating because she was not honest and clear when she sold us the tickets. We wouldn't have bought them if we knew the first flight was already delayed. We would have gone to United Airlines or figured out something else. So unfair.
