      This is in regards to corrections to my credit report. Wakefield & associates added a collection onto my credit report in the sum of $1911.00 it was opened Jan. 10, 2024. I accidently came across this collection while looking at my credit report. I have called multiple times and even sent them a certified letter to which i have had no response. I would like help in the matter of removing this collections from my report ASAP. Thank you for any help

The current creditor, The ********************, placed an account with ******************** January 10, 2024. An initial notice was sent to Mr. ***** on January 12, 2024. There is no record of its return. Wakefield received Mr. ***** letter on March 6, 2025, at which time we reached out to our client to verify the balance and request an itemized statement. An itemized statement has been mailed directly to Mr. ****** A credit deletion request will not be completed as it is the position of Wakefield that no violation has been committed.

      I spent the last part of last year trying to fix this stain on my credit report. Having talked to both the hospital and the collection agency, this is still on my credit report despite the fact that I talked to both multiple times that I paid this balance off directly to the hospital Feb 12th, 2024. My credit score went from a ******* score down more that a hundred points across all the credit agencies. The sad part is that I paid for my surgery in full 100% before the operation, yet the surgery center never paid the anesthesia company. After the ************** refunded me my money, I then paid them directly on 2/12/24. The last conversation I had with ***** at Capital Anesthesia is that she would notify Wakefield, and to have them fix my credit report once and for all. Still waiting..,.

      Good afternoon this is in reference to a medical bill that was accidentally charged by the facility. *** reached out to the provider who charged it and it was supposed to be dissolved.       I am rejecting this response because this bill originated from a doctors office that was mistakingly billed to us. It was miss coated. We contacted the office several times throughout that year to get it corrected. However, one year passed, and it was too long for us to appeal the bill.  It was then sent to Wakefield and Associates for collection. This is currently a medical bill that is only $480 and should not be on a credit report under the $500 threshold we contacted ******** credit reports and we dispute this charge many times we were told by experian because it was a medical debt that it should not be listed on the credit report. We have also discussed with Wakefield and associates our issue.  They were not helpful and did not want to hear it. We also contacted the doctors office a few times and there was nothing that they could do because its past the one year threshold.  This is on my credit report and has ruined my credit. All I ask, is it for it to be removed because it is not my debt   my next step will be to the Attorney General. Thank you for your consideration. I appreciate your help. Sincerely.

      I am rejecting this response because: You are a collection agency you can resolve this with a click of a button by contacting the company that hired you to collect the debt. As mentioned before, we did contact the insurance company and because it was past one year they could do nothing about it and directed us to your collection agency. This is a medical debt that should not be on a credit report. The collection agency can offer lower amounts to resolve the debt, then why can not remove it. We have received multiple phone calls and explained the situation and someone Always promises to return your phone call. Promises that are not done. This is my last Effort before I take it to another level To the Attorney General and I will get legal council. This is a medical debt that should not be on a credit report

      On June 5, 2024, Wakefield & Associates began collection actions on a medical debt of $888 from Qualified Emergency Specialists. However, this bill was never submitted to my health insurance provider for proper payment. Additionally, I was misdiagnosed by the original creditor, which delayed treatment for a serious condition. Despite disputing the account, ******************** continues to report it on my credit profile, causing significant financial and emotional harm.The collection agency has not verified the debts validity or ensured that the original creditor followed appropriate billing procedures before sending the account to collections.I request the immediate removal of this collection account from my credit report and a full investigation into the improper handling of this debt. Wakefield & Associates should also cease all collection activities until the matter is resolved.The amount due was never submitted to my insurance provider, and no payment has been made by me for this debt."

      I had a colonoscopy done with Us ***************** Corporate info: **************************************************************** suit 100 This was fully covered with my insurance. Confirmed prior to having the procedure. Once i was under they did a biopsy. This was never talked about prior. Obviously everything was fine. This was a routine colonoscopy. I feel they only did the biopsy so they can benefit and get more money. Bc a biopsy was performed the coding for billing changed . I was billed $1655.20 This was under dispute with my old insurance company ( I no longer have them) I thought it was taken care of . Until I got a notice it was in collection This was very surprising to me. I have good credit until this I would have gladly worked an arrangement out of if I new it wasnt rectified with my insurance company I looked at the reviews for this company after calling the credit bureau, apparently this is a common thing Very bad business

      Hello, I am reaching out because I had noticed a negative item on my credit report. It was from Wakefield and Associates. The date of the first delinquency on my credit profile says 6/28/2022. I have received absolutely no contact from them regarding this debt. I contacted them through their phone number I found online & tried to get more information and they could not find an account with my name or any other info about myself. They were persistent about wanting my social security number to find the amount. I was not comfortable giving that over the phone and declined. After I looked into my credit report more I noticed the original creditor was a company called ********************. I attempted to order contacts from them, and then they never contacted me to let me know they were ready for pickup after trying to contact them. I never received them. This is who the debt is originally from and they sold the debt to Wakefield and Associates.

      Wakefield & Associates, LLC (Wakefield) appreciates the opportunity to review and investigate Ms. ***** complaint. Our client,********************, placed an account in our office on November 22, 2022. An initial notice was sent to Ms. ***** on November 25, 2022. Wakefield has no record of return mail. An itemized statement of these charges was sent to Ms. ***** on January 3, 2025. A copy of this itemized statement has been attached to this response. Unfortunately, since the services were provided the balance is owed.A tradeline deletion will not be completed as it is the position of Wakefield that no violation has been committed.
