I bought a pressure washer from harbor freight. Got to the job site and it wouldn't start. Took it back and exchanged it. Got to the job site with the second one, and again it wouldn't fire or start. I ended up renting one to get the job done and returned the second defective pressure washer. They charged ME a $70 restocking fee instead of holding the manufacturer responsible. Called corporate and they said no exceptions and would not correct the theft. That's what it is. THEFT!!!

Paid for a new item and received a possible open box or repackaged (by ****** I wish I could attach pics here. Contacted HF and never even got an acknowledgement. Can't drive all the way to their location to return that is why I had paid for shipping. The ****** I have learned is to avoid buying online from them as their customer service is not very responsive.

Sale prices are posted on Sunday. Rang up at regular price. Manager says sale starts on Monday. That is NOT what the price says. It gives an ending date but no starting date. Manager still would not honor the posted price. I have never had any store not honor a posted price. Oh well, Harbor Freight wont.

Harbor Freight charges a 20% Restocking Fee even if the item you return is defective. I returned a defective Plate Compactor that failed the first hour of use. The wheels fell off and the engine quit running. I did not want a "replacement" after reviewing comments from other buyers of this item, I just wanted a refund. Even though it was their product that was defective, they still charged me $126 against a $630 purchase for "restocking" a defective item? On top of that, they also did not refund the full taxes I paid to the State - they took another 20% off that! Contacting their *********** was a waste of time. They say these items are "subject to a restocking fee"; the definition of "subject to" means "possibly affected by" - not "mandatory". Harbor Freight needs to held accountable to Truth In Advertising. They need to be HONEST with their customers and state that this "20% Restocking Fee" is MANDATORY for ALL returns, regardless if it is their defect or not - but then I guess that would dry up their business fast, as so it should.

Online price for a floor **** 90 bucks, in store price 139 bucks. I show to store manager online, he say oh you have to click on it, so I do and price changes to 139 bucks.Bait and switch? Rude manager with a drink in his hand dealing with customers? Not honoring online price!

Same as everyone else here. Purchased a welder and it was obviously used. Would not let us return product except to charge $180 restocking fee. So they are going to restock a used item. Which is exactly why we have a used item in the first place. We have purchased an item before that was defective, but since it was still usable we kept it. I'm only saying that because we rarely return anything. Phone customer service was very sympathetic, said she would return my call for resolution within an hour. She never called back. We shopped there often. And were likely going to purchase a large toolbox in the next year or so when hubs finishes his garage. (were excited to have a new welder, too) We will NOT shop here any longer. There is no other store that charges these ridiculous fees, with such poor customer service.

I bought a replacement wheel for my mower but found that it didn't fit properly and went back to return it. I had paid cash and wanted a cash refund. The cashier requested a phone number, address, city, state, and a photo I.D. from a DL. If a photo I.D. could not be shown a refund could not be issued. What if one doesn't have a DL? No refund? I asked and the on duty manager stated that no ID, no refund.

80 Volt Atlas Equipment I purchased the 80 Volt Atlas Chain saw, two 80 volt batteries, Charger and extension pole type chains saw. I asked for additional spare chains to purchase, but sales support told me they do not have them at the store, and I need to call their help desk they might help me.1 month later I needed a new chain saw blade, so I called their 800 support line, and they told me their spare saw blade sells for $67.50 !!!!. I told them this is not realistic, it is the price of the entire tool. They said this is all they can do.Amazon did not sell such chain, with the length, and pitch, and thickness of the blades, so now I am stuck, and do not know what to do.Buyers be ware of this horrible treatment of their customers. I did file a complaint with the ************************** also
