On November 24, 2023 I ordered a ****** Thinkpad E15 laptop with 40GB RAM and a 1TB SSD (solid state hard disk) from Amazon (Order copy attached) for $1,029.95 + tax for a project. The order was fulfilled by "OEMGGenuine". I received the laptop and confirmed that the box label (copy attached) matched my order. The project was delayed so I did not open the box until April 5. When I opened the box and began to set up the computer, the system information indicated that OEMGenuine had included a 500GB SSD instead of the 1TB SSD ordered and paid for. Per Amazon, I filed a refund request with ********** and was advised that the 30 day return window was closed and they would not accept the return (message attached). Since this problem was caused by their own failures of both manufacturing and quality control and they were paid for a laptop with specifications that they failed to deliver, I feel that they should waive their 30 day return policy and issue a full refund. OEMGenuine has a website oemgenuine.net that does not include an address but has a phone number with an Oregon area code. However, my research indicates that "OEMGenuine" is a registered US trademark for a CA corporation called Doowy Does IT, **** with an address registered with the CA Secretary of State as **************************************** However, the company website www.doowydoesIT.com lists as address of ********************************************. (Attached are screenshots of both addresses.) I was unable to find any listing for either OEMGenuine or Doowy Does IT in the BBB database. I would appreciate any assistance that the BBB could provide in having them agree to accept the return of their incorrectly-labeled laptop with a full refund of my purchase price + tax. I have now ordered a replacement laptop and have no need of or desire for an exchange for one with the correct specs.Thank you for your assistance.
