    Last year he cleaned a ********** thought was overcharged but paid it, this year he sent an invoice for $241.82 without scheduling an appointment or doing any work.

    On 10/19/2022 2 employees arrived at my home to clean my windows inside & out. I told the owner when I scheduled this cleaning I had 38 windows. (I didn't know that the top of the window is "a window", the bottom of the window is "a window" and the storm windows (top and bottom) are yet 2 more windows. My appraisal of the numbers of windows to be cleaned was underestimated, and he later called me a liar regarding my erroneous miscounting of the windows. Because the scope of the job was bigger than they planned, the 2 employees were unable to finish on the first day. I questioned some of the work that was being done as there were some streaks, but the male assured me they were not done with those windows, and it would all be good when it was done. The following day on 10/20/2022 I asked them to arrive early so they could be sure to get the job done. The gentleman arrived shortly after 7:30am, rang the doorbell, announced his arrival but then proceeded to sit in his vehicle until his partner arrived which was closer to 8:30 or 8:45. Then they determined their squeegee was bad and they reported 2 plus hours later when they arrived back, they had gone to 3 different hardware stores to find an appropriate squeegee. On this visit, I inquired about the mildew left around the glass on the edges and I was informed that is "not part of the window so they don't clean that". They had to leave on day 2 and the job was not complete. They returned on 10/27. I told the owner when this was scheduled there would NOT be a fourth visit. They needed to finish and I needed to leave by 10:35am that day. At 10:40, they job was not done. I left. They continued to work outside. Some windows are clean. Others are horribly streaked. I asked the owner to return to my home with his team to review the work. He will not. He wants to be paid. He did discount the amount owed, but when I need to hire another company to do the work his company should have done, I have a huge issue with that.

    I paid Midwest Gutters $293.23 (check #****) to have my gutters cleaned December, 2021. I work during the day so I have to trust that they came and did the work and did the work well. This year I have had water sheeting over the sides of the gutters, both front and back, and have left several messages for them to come and check the gutters. I have also called and left messages saying that I would pay them again to clean the gutters again, but have never received any response. I called and left 2 messages on June 7 and one on June 10. Today I'm paying to have gutter covers put on my gutters and the person instaliing them showed me how my gutters and downspouts were clogged with debris. I was willing to pay Midwest Gutters to come back and clean my gutters again but they never responded, so I would like my money back from last December, as I don't believe they did a very thorough job cleaning my gutters in the first place. I have taken video of the water sheeting over the sides of the gutters as well as pictures of the clogged gutters.Thank you,***************************

    We actually did talk to her and I said we come for free that no extra payment was necessary and she was scheduled for Monday July 11th at 10am to redue them that was my earliest available slot because we are short handed do to lack of employees in this market! At the time she said it was just one area. She never mentioned getting gutter guards put on or a date. The crew did go to her house and left job sheet in door if no one is home. This house is always packed do to type of trees that surround her house. If she forwards me the pictures we will review it immediately. We had 2 false bud blossoms this spring that dumped alot premature buds because Temps dropped after early warm up then we had several hard freezes that killed the buds.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    I don't know why Midwest Gutters is saying they talked to me in person, because that NEVER HAPPENED.  What date would this have been?  I have no phone record showing that they called me.  I am not trying to get something for free, but I talked to NO ONE.  I left messages and no one ever called me back.  I was at my wits end, which is why I finally called to have Gutter covers put on my house, since I realized I couldn't count on Midwest Cleaners to help me anymore.  My front gutter is by a tree, but my back gutter is far away from any trees and both gutters were severly clogged.  The pictures I sent previously should tell the story of what I've been dealing with.  If Midwest Cleaners had called me back I would definitely NOT be filing this complaint.  They did not call me back.

    Thank you for your email.  I was so surprised by the reply from Midwest Cleaners stating that they had talked to me (when in fact they never called me back or answered the phone when I left the 3 messages), that I responded quickly and did not include the following information:

    1. Midwest Cleaners stated that they made an appointment with me for Monday, July 11 at 10 am.  I never would have agreed to this date and time because I work in the mornings at a high school and (as I had stated in my voice messages to them) wanted to be present when they did the work because I wanted to make sure it was completed satisfactorily.  They have come to my home before and left notices on my door that they were there, but I have had no way of knowing what they did or how well. 
    2.  I also would never have stated that only one area of the gutters needed to be cleaned.  If they had taken a look at the pictures I sent, you can see that both the front and back gutters were clogged and water was flowing over the top of both of them.
    3.  Midwest Gutters said I never told them I was having Gutter Covers installed, which is true, since I never actually talked to them.  After 2 weeks of no response from them, I decided  to have the covers installed because I was worried about my foundation and basement.  Since they never responded to my voicemails by then, why would I leave yet another message with this information?
    4.  Midwest Gutters asked to see pictures, but I included them with my original complaint.  Was there a problem viewing these?  I can send them again if need be.  I have attached another picture of the back gutter showing that there are no trees on this side of the house (it was stated that my gutters are always packed with leaves due to the many trees on my property.).  
    5.  There were no bud blossoms found in the gutters, instead there were lots of dead decaying leaves, sticks and twigs that the Gutter installer said looked like they had been there for a long time,  found in the gutters and downspouts.
