1 starHorrible Customer Service!Technician called me and was rude from the start of the call. Lack of customer service skills were obvious. The issue started as the technician advised me I had no sensors on my account although I ordered them with my system.I asked how could we solve this? I was advised to call Vivint customer service. After calling customer service, they advised that the senors had been removed when the new work order was created, however, they would add it back on.They advised that the technician should of called them, not advise the customer to do so. Then, I notice the cost of my service had gone up. It appears they are now charging me a different fee for the equipment and service, than originally offered. Since they do not provide you with a good faith estimate or copy of your order when you place the order, I feel they switch things up when they actually come out to do the installation. Basically, they sold me on one price, then removed equipment and tried to charge me an even higher price. Next, the technician ask me to text a copy of my id. I asked if the text was going to Vivint. The tech stated no, it is going to their personal phone. This was a red flag to me as Vivint never advised me of this procedure. I called Vivint back and ask them about this policy, and the person stated that he never heard of it. I declined to text a copy of my ID to the technician and the technician left and stopped responding to my calls.All-in-all, my order was wrong as a result of Vivint, and I was never advised of a policy of texting a copy of my id to the technician's personal phone. Also, Vivint uses a bait-and-switch tactic.Bad company, bad service.Review fromMelani K.

1 starI originally contacted Vivint because they had high reviews. ************* has been absolutely abysmal. I have now spoken with a fourth person regarding installation. They took my $204 dollars on the very first call and I have never heard back from the agent after numerous attempts at contact. I have now just spoken to my 4th Vivint agent and have cancelled the service as the installation was time sensitive for insurance purposes. Being very clear that no one has ever contacted me for the instillation of the product I have already paid for. Every agent I have spoken with guaranteed me they would resolve the issue in a timely manner and gave me their contact information. Unfortunately they do not respond via phone or email. I have just gotten off the phone again and I was put on hold because I wanted to talk to someone further up the food chain after 20 minutes I hung up. I will be incurring long distance charges for my numerous calls as the numbers they gave me for further contact were long distance numbers. Hoping that I actually get my money refunded in the 3 to 4 business days that has been promised. Wish me luck and find somebody else if you live in Canada.Review fromJhonny C

1 starwe got a knock on our door, and it was this sales rep name *******************. He had a good pitch and I was unsure but he told me to try it for the free trial. During that night our water heater gave out and water started leaking, he saw this and still wanted his tech to come install, the tech **** didnt install anything since he saw us dealing with a leaking water heater. At that point that same night we decided we didnt want Vivint. I message **** and he was pushy and Inconsiderate about our reason about canceling. I decided I didnt wanted to deal with him so I called customer service. One I didnt know I was opening up a credit line, also **** promise only 140$ down, my card was charged over 260$. Im hoping people sees this or Vivint and they decide to fire this guy for his shady tactics. Im still trying to close this account and get my money back and close this credit line. And for people do not let this guy into your homesReview fromPhil W

1 starThis is the worst alarm company. The cameras are offline constantly. The sales person deceived my husband in to their services. I had incident with Amazon driver throwing deliveries against my wall because he was mad I complained he was walking in my flowerbed. I went to get video for evidence and guess what no video. My door camera was connected to someone else wifi.Review fromTed S

1 starWhat a horrible company. It took me hours and hours of time try to cancel. My system hadnt worked for over a year. Finally when I threatened legal action I got a response from someone at Vivint in the ************* and they refunded me hundreds of dollars and said my account was canceled. Now Im getting bills again. If you want to be really frustrated call their customer service. They will keep you on the line for hours and do nothing to help you. Good luck getting rid of them. When their service worked it was fine. When it failed there was no help from them. Very disappointing.Review fromSylvester S

1 starPanel does not respond to touch often Panel does not allow you to disarm Phone app does not allow you to disarm Since you cannot disarm via panel or phone app, you are forced to hear a very loud alarm for a substantial amount of time. Cut the time and just unplug from the source, then remove panel from wall mount and pull battery connector Customer support is horrible Expect to be hung up on and not called back Background noise is horrendous due to staff working in various parts of the world, terrible phone coverage apparently Cameras will go down sporadically - you must trace them back to your router and pull power if *** or disconnect from *** adapters (i would suggest labeling them because this will happen all the time)Techs that have arrived at my house have been clueless and lazy, give you the same line "Nothing we can do - call customer service and tell them you need a new panel for free"If you need a new panel because it is no longer supported by their system, expect that to come out of your pocket. I apparently needed a new panel after just a year - hence why i continue to experience problem after problem.I signed up because my brother works for Vivint in PA/WVA - thought I was doing him a favor by getting a customer....I will absolutely be canceling my contract when the time comes February 2023 if not sooner. Worst mistake of my life by far@!!!!Review fromFelicia F

1 starWorse company I ever dealt with. I bought 3 security 1systems. One for my personal residence and the other 2 for my business. I was told 50 per month for the services. I bought the equipment outright. I end up closing one of my businesses and I moved to another location to were the landlord had his own security system so I didn't need vivint. This was October of 2021. I called vivent told them I no longer needed the services for 2 locations. First I was told vivint would take care of it and reimburse me with a credit.. I waited nothing happen. I then called again was told something different. I again called this time I was told I need to call Fortiva have fortiva send me a letter stating I paid the equipment off send to vivint and I would be reimbursed a credit once I proved I paid off the equipment. I had called at least 5 times total. This last time which was yesterday I was told vivint doesn't do credit and I am required to pay for monitoring service for 60 months no matter if I need the service or not. I was told I can suspend my line for up to 1 year. My frustration is at 100 now I said ok after being on the phone for over an hr. I was told I would receive an email for a request for cancelation document i needed to fill out and after 30 days I can have the line suspended. The worker again failed to send the email of cancelation but sent me an email for a vivint survey. I feel like I'm being trapped to pay a forced contract for 60 months no matter if I need the services or not. This is the most dysfunctional business I have ever encountered. Don't believe me if you record your calls all this should be in the notes. Again, I'm being charged 100 dollars a month since October 2021 for places I'm not using, customer service is uneducated and it seems no one is trained.Review fromBonnie L.

1 starVivent Security System installers were here last night. Warning: high pressure sales, promises made, not kept and instant installation without any written contract! I was not feeling well when this happened last night at 9:00pm! My husband let him in when I was laying down in bed sick and the salesman made all kinds of promises. I tried to say no but he kept talking and now we are stuck with a new security system we don't want and can't afford for 5 YEARS!!! They were here until 12 midnight installing the new system!!!!! Now what do I do? I thought we had 48 hours to cancel any contract. I didn't even have a chance to read the contract that was on a small phone screen which I could not even read. I feel duped and stupid. That's why I NEVER let these salesmen into my house to begin with.
