CourseSaver.com has been taking a monthly $50 membership fee from me for the past year even though I have contacted them beginning 7/14/21 via email to cancel my membership. I sent numerous "contact us" forms through the website after my email was not responded to and also received no response via their website portal. Throughout this time I tried to send more "support tickets" and cancellation requests on their website and an error message would be prevent the action from going through successfully. After trying to reach out to them directly for months, I turned to my bank, Wells Fargo, to put a dispute charge on the company and stop any further payments from going through. When talking to the bank they were able to give me a telephone number to reach someone to talk to directly since I had been unable to receive a phone number from course saver prior to this date. Today, 7/5/22, I called the phone number and was able to speak to Alan Halls directly. He told me there was nothing that could be done for a refund more than 60 days even though I explained to him that I have been reaching out for months. He even looked up the email I sent him trying to cancel and admitted that the email got lost in all his other emails. He also said that his website has been "on autopilot" and he doesnt check it. He stated that he used to have a customer service agent that monitored the website but it is clear that she is no longer there as my messages went unanswered for months. He said he had 50,000-70,000 students using the website so things get missed. He also said he has been working on a new website so it seems as though he just has this website running and is taking money from students stuck in a membership like me. When he looked on the websites he said he saw the same error messages as I did and said that never happens when in actuality is has been happening to me for months but he has zero monitoring on his own website for customers reaching out. I called, he blocked my calls
