1 starOkay this has got to be a joke! And it's not funny at all. I was forced to use this company due to my employer business decisions. I know this will sound crazy bit I wish I were dealing with EDD directly. For your sake i hope you dont have to use this company if you do and your examiner is ****** K, well then sorry for your luck you drew the small straw. This is just one incident I've had to deal with, my shot term disability is due to end on the 28th my doctor submitted the proper paperwork on the 21st and here we are on the 27th and the file haven't even been opened or read. This is after I've called in the last 2 days and was told it would be taken care of in 2-3 days. Still no return call still no help just disgustingReview fromwesley M

1 starI had a frustrating experience with ****** *******, a claims adjuster for Sedgwick based in ********, handling my property damage claim after a tree fell on my truck at ********* at *********** Apartments in *************, **. ****** works remotely and, based on my interaction, seems to make snap decisions without proper investigation. She called me once for what felt like a 1-2 minute conversationbarely enough time to explain my sidewhile my son was throwing up in the background. Instead of showing any patience or understanding, she rushed me off the phone, clearly uninterested in hearing me out. After that, she was impossible to reachI left multiple messages she never returned. Her denial of my claim came shortly after, claiming it was an act of nature, despite photos I sent showing the trees poor condition and evidence of prior incidents. Its clear she didnt bother to visit the site (being remote in ********) or dig into the leasing agencys maintenance history. Im a parent dealing with a sick kid and a wrecked truck, and her dismissive attitudebasing a decision on a rushed callfelt unprofessional and unfair. Sedgwick should train their remote adjusters like ****** to at least listen and investigate properly, not just push people off the phone and deny claims without care. Avoid her if you canmy experience was a nightmare.Review fromRebecca J

1 starWe have noticed significant challenges in communication, including delayed responses and limited availability outside of standard business hours (after 5 PM EST). Unfortunately, return calls are not typically received within 24 hours, and resolution often requires escalating the matter through the chain of command.Additionally, it was concerning to learn about a case manager change from our own employee, especially when we had received conflicting information from Sedgwick just two days prior. This lack of proactive communication is particularly disappointing, as it directly impacts the support and care provided to employees during critical times. We strongly encourage improved transparency and responsiveness to ensure a more effective partnership.Review fromJessika M

1 starSedgwick Claims Management is the most infuriating, incompetent, and morally bankrupt company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. If youre here reading reviews, let me save you some time: run. Run far, run fast, and pray you never have to deal with these useless, deceitful, and shameless frauds. In November, one of the drivers insured under a company Sedgwick manages slammed into me and totaled my car. I was lucky to walk away with my life. And you would think, after something that severe, that Sedgwick would at least do the bare minimum and handle my claim with some level of urgency and human decency. ****. For six months, I have called, left messages, sent emails - nothing. Radio silence. They have not returned a single call. Not one. Instead of doing their **** job, they have been twiddling their thumbs, and hoping Ill just go away. And then they had the audacity to close my claim due to "non-response." You ignored me for half a year. Now, because of your blatant incompetence Im left to deal with the wreckage of my life while you all sit around cashing paychecks for doing absolutely nothing. Lets be clear: Sedgwick doesnt care about victims. They dont care about fairness, responsibility or doing whats right. They care about protecting their bottom line and s******* over people like me who were hurt. This isnt just incompetence. This is deliberate, calculated negligence. This is Sedgwick knowingly and willfully denying victims their rightful claims while hiding behind bureaucracy, ignoring calls, and closing claims on a technicality they themselves manufactured. When dealing with this company: document everything. Lawyer up. Go after them like your life depends on itbecause they clearly dont care if you live or die. Sedgwick, you are shameless, corrupt, and an absolute disgrace. I hope every single person reading this review takes their business elsewhere, exposes you for what you are, and holds you accountable.Review fromSara G

1 starThey continue to deny my mental health claim stating insufficient evidence. Even though I was sexually harassed at my place of employment until I had a nervous breakdown. My mental status has been on a steady decline from trying to fight with them in this mind frame and the fact that their denial made me lose my job. I've sent in everything I have and everything my doctors have. And they still say insufficient evidence. I suffer from Bipolar 1, PTSD, Generalized Anxiety, and Social Anxiety. I can't open the door, my mail, talk on the phone, or leave my house when I'm having an episode. I feel that they use this against you to deny your claim. I want my job back.Review fromMichelle S

1 starTerrible customer service. They are rude, unempathetic and unorganized. They have been asking for the physicians report from my surgery for the past 2 1/2 weeks. We have verified the fax number and my claim number several times, ************** has faxed this to them no less than 4 times and yet they still claim as of today that they do not have it and if it isn't in by the 19th, my claim will be denied. The 19th is a Sunday, the 20th a government holiday. I was not paid yesterday because of all this. When I called the Sedgwick office, I was advised that my claims administrator was too busy to talk and that they would send a request for call back within 48 hours - 48 hours?? seriously? He called back after about ****************************************** to do is go to to the *********** take a picture of the physicians statement with my phone and email to him. Ya right, I am in a boot from surgery on crutches and a scooter. I am already back to work so will need to take time off of work to do this as well since the office closes at the same time I get off. they are also not available on Fridays due to being in surgery and are closed on Monday for the holiday, so guess what. It won't be to them by the 19th and they will deny me and then tell me I have to start over! I have no choice but to use Sedgwick as this is who my employer uses for all ****'s, ********, ***'s etc. I have put in a formal complaint with my HR team. They really need to change companies.Review fromDavina B

1 starWorst service with 3 different employees!A claim was ***orted on December 19, 2024. I was told a claims agent would contact me within 3 days, and no one did. Jan 8, 2025 I received a text message from the Sedgwick Team, Survey Monkey asking for my participation regarding my claim handling experience.I followed up with my claim with **********, and then left a message with Sedgwick on Jan 5, 2025 at 2:42 pm MST. ********* ****** called me a couple days later, who's the 1 that closed the claim. My tenant placed the ** order reg. the claim, that she called. While I'm the Landlord, the one who ***orted the claim, and provided my contact info, and wasn't contacted. With that clarified, we ended our call, her stating she'll email me, for me to respond with the documentation we discussed. She did not email me. I was left with no way to send her the documentation we discussed.Jan 11, 2025 I called Sedgwick at 8:22 am MST and spoke to a female customer service **** that I explained what was going on. In the midst of talking, she interrupts me. I called her out on it and told her I was still talking and how can she help me, if she doesn't listen to give appropriate information. WHILE I'M STILL talking, she doesn't stop, and continues her speech, talking over me.Jan 13, 2025 I called ********* ******** direct line at 9:10 am MST and her number was redirected to customer service, where I spoke to a female customer service *** and was told she's not in the office today. I explained that I was supposed to get an email from ********* and didn't. The ** *** said she can provide me with it, which works too. HOWEVER, I also mentioned I'd like to ***ort a complaint to her manager, and the ****** said I can't since the claim was closed on Jan 8, 2025. I told her that's wrong, it's still open, and that's what my complaint was about. At that point, she said "Have a nice day" and hung up on me. I was left with no email, and no recourse to file a complaint. The worst service ever!Review fromEmma O

1 starI can't think of a single good thing to say about Sedgwick. Worst customer service. No way to contact a representative if needed. No contact for weeks at a time while waiting on checks to support myself and pay bills. Employees always seem annoyed to have to talk to me, and one of them even yelled at me over the phone. I was told I would receive my first check, already a month late, a week before Christmas. Didn't receive until a week after.Don't ever use Sedgwick. They should be shut down.Review fromZakeenah S

1 starPLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, don't use this company if you can avoid it. I have been working for a fortune 500 company for 6 years and have had to deal with sedgwick a couple of times...with them, it is apparent the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. This company should be out of business the way they operate...If there is a mistake with your paperwork, they deny your claim instead of giving you time to rectify the situation. Every time I have had to deal with this company it has been heartache and headaches.....AVOID THIS ***************
